I wanted to treat myself to a birthday facial. They had a special on their micro diamond facial for only $99 so I booked that service. You have to pay a $20 deposit to hold your reservation time, but the deposit is applied to your total service cost. The spa is inside what used to be a residential house which was confusing for me at first as I was driving by, but once you walk in, you only receive high end spa vibes. Everything is cozy, well decorated, and very comfortable. I was shown into my spa room and received a great facial service, which left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and well moisturized. The staff provides great treatment end to end and one of the staff members walked me through some package options at the end for how I could continue my skincare routine to address my concerns. One thing to note is that they do spend time upselling you here so plan on being here for an additional 10-15 minutes while they put you in a room and walk you through the additional packages available. There was just one other thing to note - when I was doing the infrared portion of my facial, my technician stepped out for about 10 minutes. I've been going to Ambition regularly for facials and RF Microneedling, and I truly can't say enough good things about this place. From the very beginning, the experience has been exceptional. My first visit was a consultation with Mae, the owner, and I was immediately impressed. She was so kind, helpful, and professional--she really took the time to ask what I'd like to improve and what my skin concerns were. I didn't know much about RF Microneedling at the time, and Mae explained the process clearly and thoroughly. The price point was initially out of my budget, but she kindly helped me apply for CareCredit and walked me through a financial plan that made the treatments possible for me. That extra step of support meant so much. My first treatment was a Hydra Aqua Facial with Amber, and I absolutely loved it. It was so relaxing--I actually fell asleep! The tools they use feel advanced and effective, and my skin felt deeply cleansed in a way I could never achieve at home. I especially love that they really get into the pores; the results are instant and satisfying. On my next visit, I had my first RF Microneedling session with Julia. She was great at talking me through the process as she worked, which helped me feel at ease. It wasn't very painful thanks to the numbing cream. However, my second microneedling session was a bit more uncomfortable. I let Julia know, and she adjusted the settings to make it more tolerable while still explaining that deeper penetration gives more noticeable results. I've learned that microneedling isn't exactly relaxing--it's definitely more clinical and intense--but I do appreciate that they alternate treatments, rotating between microneedling and the hydra facials. That allows time for healing and makes the whole process feel balanced and thoughtful. Since I'm new to facials in general, I've learned a lot through this experience. I probably wouldn't recommend microneedling to someone with a low pain tolerance or sensitivity to needles, as it is a more invasive treatment. But the numbing cream really does help, and the team always checks in to make sure you're comfortable. On my third hydra facial, I had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa, who was fantastic! She even recommended an exfoliating add-on I didn't know they offered, and my skin felt so soft and supple afterward. She also helped me with product recommendations and Mae gave me sunscreen samples, which I really appreciated. Lastly, I want to give a big shoutout to Aaron and the front desk staff. Aaron is always so welcoming, helpful, and sweet--he makes me feel valued every time I walk through the door. The front desk team keeps everything running smoothly, and the space itself is just gorgeous. I got the Signature Revival Facial, which included double cleansing, extractions, LED therapy (red & green light), a mask (I think?), serums, moisturizer, and eye cream. On paper, it sounds solid -- but the actual experience was disappointing. The facial felt impersonal. The cleansing didn't feel thorough, and extractions started before my skin felt properly prepped. She used a tool (which I appreciated), and during extractions, she showed me what she removed -- mostly sebaceous filaments from my nose. Sure, it looked gross, but as someone who's into skincare, I know that's normal. I use exfoliants like salicylic acid, AHAs, BHAs, etc., but you're still going to have some no matter what. For context, I hadn't had a facial since March, so a little buildup was expected -- but again, the way everything was done just felt so basic and disconnected. She wore gloves (sanitary, yes), but most of the product application was done with tapping motions -- and honestly, tapping doesn't do much for product absorption or skin stimulation. There was no real technique or intention behind it. I also couldn't tell when the mask was even applied. There was no massage or extra care while waiting (something other places usually offer -- like a neck or arm massage), and there was minimal explanation of what she was doing until after it was over. As a first-time client, I expected better communication throughout. At checkout, the receptionist did ask how it went. I said my skin felt clean -- which it did -- but I didn't know how to express how mid or disappointing the experience actually was. I wish I had said more, but I defaulted to being polite. They immediately launched into selling their promo package, which felt pushy given how underwhelming everything had been. Maybe it's because I chose the cheapest option -- but I've had facials at the same price point that felt far more thoughtful, effective, and personal. This one felt like something I could've done at home. I still tipped $20 out of habit, but I regret it. Don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews. If others had a great experience, I'm happy for them. But mine just wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place. (One positive: street parking is fairly easy to find.) read more
