The food was great. Service was decent. Getting in the restaurant was a but challenging when we had a stroller since there were stairs.

This is probably our favourite winery along the Beamsville wine route. We always stop here first because the property is so beautiful, the tasting room is lovely, cozy and big. They have a great selection of wine and cheese. They also have a restaurant on the premises and the food is fantastic there! We had a family gathering at the restaurant and they gave us this large private room with windows overlooking the estate, the service was attentive and kind. Everyone really enjoyed them food but I must say for the meat eaters, I have never seen people rave about a Burger as much as my dad and brother in law did that day! If you are stopping in for a tasting as I would for any Ontario wine, I suggest staying in the realm of whites or ice wine. We tend not to do reds very well!

One of my favourite wineries. This place is hidden just off the path of Grimsby. I love how it's away from the tourism of Niagara Falls. I've been here several times, where it's always calm and just enough customers to move around. On clear days you can see Toronto, as it overlooks the lake. My review is based on our experience today - Mother's day. I had my heart set on the patio but Mother Nature was not on our side today. We sat inside today and had a lovely time. Our waitress was lovely, we never felt rushed and the food was amazing! I had the chicken and waffles that came with a maple cream sauce. AMAZING! If you come here in the summer I would highly recommend the patio. It's always nice (you have the option of sun or shade). Prices are reasonable and the wine list is not overpriced. Really nice for a date or special occasion. See you in the summer Peninsula Ridge!

As a medium-sized winery in the Niagara Region I feel that Peninsula Ridge has it all, and it stands as 1 of my top 3 thus far that I've visited in Niagara Region. I had the chance of visiting twice this summer, once for a wedding, and once with family. I guess what I like about this particular winery is that it doesn't have that factory approach feel like some of the larger ones in Niagara-on-the-Lake when you visit, it has that small winery feel, despite it being larger then many in the Beamsville area. The winery also has a great visitor center with ample space for seating, and also has a restaurant on site (I haven't visited that yet). Overall this is 1 I enjoyed visiting and can see myself visiting over many summers to come now.

Beautiful deck over looking the Vineyard. Take your samples out to the deck and take your time sipping your wine flight unrushed.

Our server was rather pleasant. She even labeled our classes so We would not get them mixed up in transporting them outside. We came for a brief sampling but we were persuaded to take our wine glasses out to the patio and enjoy the beautiful surroundings while we sat and relaxed - enjoying a picturesque view of the vineyards. A tasting flight of 3 goes for five dollars and the pours were generous. Ice wines are two dollars for a sampling. Relax and enjoy the scenery!

Always fantastic food. Great service and amazing white wine. Sit outside on their patio on a nice summer day. Doesn't get better than that.

The patio area is very clean and well-organized, with a relaxed vibe perfect for a casual outing. Unfortunately, the kitchen wasn't able to accommodate my wife's allergy, due to their small kitchen and risk of cross-contamination with other foods, which was disappointing, so we stuck to drinks only. I had the Cherry Cider, which was crisp and refreshing, while my wife ordered a wine flight that she really enjoyed. I tried the fruity and granola parfait, and I'd definitely recommend it. We also spent some time playing corn-hole near the patio, which was a fun touch and added to the laid-back atmosphere. There's plenty of parking along the side and back of the property, and overall, the operation seems well run. While this visit didn't quite go as planned, we may return for a drink-only visit in the future.

We asked them what were they were enjoying for lunch. Grilled cheese and hotdog sliders they replied. This was no ordinary grilled cheese with gruere cheese and caramelized onions. The smoked sausage also incredible served with remoulade and crispy fried onions. Wow. With a side of tomato eggplant soup which was to die for. For wine tasting we decided to start off with ordering two flights of different reds. I am amazed at how good they were. This place is a must try. Oh the view of Lake Ontario is stunning from the patio deck .

With a combination of 35 year old vines, low prices, and some of the best terroir in the region, visiting this winery is a must for any wine enthusiast. I saw the big wine bottle on the side of a barn when we parked the car. Tasting room was very small. It was actually in the kitchen of a house. There are office tables in the middle, wines are displayed on the wall. It didn't look like it was well organized. Owner Daniel was the one who helped us with our tasting. There was no one else but us. We tasted a few wines. They were all good. White merlot, white Cabernet, unoaked merlot, reserve Riesling ..etc. The white Cabernet was very interesting. Complex yet elgant. I had to get some bottles. Gewurtztraminer was delicious as well as the 2009 Syrah. Daniel lenko is a 3rd generation grape grower and his vineyard has 53 years old Chardonnay plants from his grandparents which is oldest in the Niagara region. If you are a serious wine lover, you must visit this winery and taste their wines. They also do vineyard tours with an appointment.
