My wife and I visited for brunch and while the setting was beautiful, the experience fell a bit short overall. The patio area is very clean and well-organized, with a relaxed vibe perfect for a casual outing. Unfortunately, the kitchen wasn't able to accommodate my wife's allergy, due to their small kitchen and risk of cross-contamination with other foods, which was disappointing, so we stuck to drinks only. I had the Cherry Cider, which was crisp and refreshing, while my wife ordered a wine flight that she really enjoyed. I tried the fruity and granola parfait, and I'd definitely recommend it. We also spent some time playing corn-hole near the patio, which was a fun touch and added to the laid-back atmosphere. There's plenty of parking along the side and back of the property, and overall, the operation seems well run. While this visit didn't quite go as planned, we may return for a drink-only visit in the future. read more

What a pleasant surprise. We walked in and sat at one of the tables with our service animal Loki unknowing that next to us were the owners of this fine establishment also enjoying lunch. We asked them what were they were enjoying for lunch. Grilled cheese and hotdog sliders they replied. This was no ordinary grilled cheese with gruere cheese and caramelized onions. The smoked sausage also incredible served with remoulade and crispy fried onions. Wow. With a side of tomato eggplant soup which was to die for. For wine tasting we decided to start off with ordering two flights of different reds. I am amazed at how good they were. This place is a must try. If I was rating merely based on the view, Fielding would score an easy 5*s! However, all-in-all, especially comparing to another winery that I was coming from, it didn't make as good of an impression. First, the view, as mentioned in other reviews is beautiful! The winery itself is perched on top of a hill and overlooks the vineyard. For COVID/outdoor seating, the winery set-up a large tent decked out on fake turf, there are also comfy couches for larger groups. There was older 90s/y2k pop music playing in the background. Main reason for less than 5*s was the service. When the server brought over the flights, she asked in an unenthusiastic manner whether or not our table wanted a rundown of the wines. Who WOULDN'T want this if they were doing a wine tasting? Out of the 3 wines that I tried, the Gewurztraminer was the most memorable, but the initial litchi notes quickly dissipated. I noticed this with the other wines as well, the taste just wasn't very complex. Legs weren't very long. Perhaps if the server was more excited and passionate about the product, it would've gave me a better impression about my visit. I love servers who roll up to the table with a smile - underneath their mask - and just say, "Hi! Welcome...lemme tell you a bit about our winery, what we specialise in", etc. etc. read more

Of the eight wineries that I visited in the Niagara region using the winery tour pass, Fielding Estate Winery was one of the most beautiful. It wasn't as crowded as the ones in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We arrived early when it was peaceful and quiet. Immediately to the left of the entrance is a beautiful field with chairs setup perfectly for photos. We did our wine tasting where they had an option of red or white. This was paired with a taco. There is a beautiful balcony that looks out to the vinyard. In addition to the usual wine pairing, on this particular day they were giving away free samples of their sparkling rose. In this area of the winery, they had yet another beautiful balcony looking out to the vines. There was an observation binocular, which was fun. I didn't enjoy the wine selection, but that's more of a personal preference. I found their sparkling rose too dry, but who am I to say? It has won awards. I prefer my reds heavier and bolder, so I'm not the best person to judge on the wine. I can however highly recommend visiting this winery if you are looking to tour the area. It is gorgeous and there are many places for photo ops in just this one winery. I also found it to be peaceful and calming. read more

My husband read an article about good Chardonnay in the 20 valley wine region of Canada. Fielding Estates winery was in that list to try. It is located just in the outskirts of the 20 valley region. Tasting room isn't big but its very spacey enough to accommodate approximately 20 people.They also have a outdoor seating area and patio. They actually make some of the tastier red wines in that region. They make a limited amount of reserve reds, they are worth trying. Fireside red is really causal and easy to drink red. We tasted 2012 reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, it was very good. But not out for sale yet. Cannot wait to get some bottles once it comes out. We were very lucky they had a bottle open that day. They also have sparkling and ice wines. Staffs are very friendly. read more

We wanted to feel fancy so we decided to go to a winery for the weekend. We had to create a reservation for the tour. As we got there, the pathway took us through a vineyard. Which was so pretty! They have a very cute patio and a wine store inside to purchase there wine. Our tour guide started us off with a wine as we walked down to the vines. As we got there she told us about how wine is made and how it is processed. From there we walked into the wine barrels and machines that process the wine. Each spot we tried a different sample of wine. End of the tour she brought us back and asked if we wanted to sample a cheese platter. At this moment we were hungry so we got a cheese platter and a glass of wine. From this tour I was able to actually understand the amount of effort it takes to produce a good glass of wine. read more

In terms of the Niagara Region this is another winery that makes my top 3 list in terms of the view it provides. This winery similarly to Flat Rock sits on the Beamsville Bench and provides for some amazing views on a clear day of Lake Ontario. One thing I also enjoyed about this winery is the seating, there's lots of Muskoka chairs to be found that one can take a seat on and enjoy their wine. I also appreciated the ability to purchase the cheese platter that came with a small jar of jam and some bread. This was great as we had something to nibble on, it also complimented all the wines we were sampling as well. I'd definitely visit this winery again and will try to next time book a tour in advance. It's also worth checking out if you haven't been here before. read more

Stopped here based on TA recommendations, and wasn't disappointed. The staff was very nice and really took the time to stay with us during the whole tasting experience and give us details on the wines and winery. Nice outdoor deck if you wanted to enjoy a glass or bottle while checking out the vineyard and gorgeous scenery. Wines were overall pretty decent, and the cab/syrah was worth buying, which is high praise as it meant checking a bag for the trip home! Gorgeous tasting room, overall nice experience. This is my first time in Canada and this winery was HIGHLY recommended. The interior of the winery is very modern, sleek and cute! The personal shirts the shop sells are super cute. The wine tasting is extremely adorable for sampling! They'll even wave the sample fees if you end up buying a bottle. What's the best part about this place? THE. VIEW. You walk out onto the deck and you see out into Canada for miles! You can even see Toronto! The rows and rows of grapes are so luscious and green. I highly recommend stopping here if you want to relax and enjoy some wine with an incredible view! read more

Exemplary view, the service was great, I'm not a big fan of their wine at the lcbo, but thier wines at the estate are much tastier. It's a modern winery with and old world touch of class. I ordered the cheese plate with the red pepper jelly, Crostini along with the caramelized onion cheddar along with my flight of wine tastings. Fielding is situationed at the end of mountainview road, and the lake can be seen from the vineyard. Wonderful place to spend an afternoon. read more

Had a really nice time at Fielding. Rose was crisp and nice and the Cab franc was decent with lots of layers. The pepper jelly and cheddar were delightful and while the deck was small it was very relaxing with a distant view of Lake Ontario. Service was excellent. read more

We had a wonderful experience here this past week. My friend and I dropped in for the tour and were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. The tour was informative but not too long, staff was knowledgable and personable. We loved the wines we sampled, deciding to stay for a cheese plate on the deck overlooking the vineyard. Absolutely beautiful. Margaret and the rest of the staff were helpful. My friend bought a case of wine, she enjoyed it so much. I would definitely return and purchase more of their wonderful wines! read more
