    Mead flights

We had such a great time here during our recent trip, I'm so glad we stopped. For one it was a gorgeous day and we sat on the patio and enjoyed some tastings. It was a Sunday on a long weekend but we only had to wait for 10 minutes or so. Our server was incredible - very kind and attentive. We tried mead flights which was very good and unique and also very reasonably priced. We also had some snacks on the side. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and I would certainly come back.

This is a beautiful location with great wines and meads available. I tried the meads in a custom flight and all were very delicious. My favorite was the VSOP mead. I also tried the duck rilette, which was really good, a small warning that a couple bones may be in there. I was looking forward to trying other hot menu items as advertised on their Instagram and specifically came during lunchtime because of that but the cook was out at that time. Next time, I would call them before going to check that the hot food is available if I want to try their hot menu items with the wine/mead flights. The customer service was very good. I wasn't able to get phone reception and needed access to wifi to get directions back, so I asked one of the employees, Jake, for help, and he let me use his hotspot, which was so helpful and nice.

Great service and beautiful peaceful scenery. Didn't have much main food selections but they're good for snacking while sipping the wines.

What a wonderful experience! We loved our wine tasting here, the service was impeccable and SO friendly and informative. The ambiance was so relaxing and the area is gorgeous. I had only about an hour allotted for wine tasting on this trip (traveling with family) and I'm so glad we spent it here! PS love their winery dog Charlie!

My friends and I purchased a Discovery Pass for the Niagara-on-the-Lake region winery tours. This pass was $45 and included 8 tastings at up to 8 different wineries. The winery that most impressed me was Rosewood. They sampled their red wine, which I thought was a bit lighter than my preference, but still quite nice. Upon check-in, we were given the Yelp offer of 3 additional tastings. I opted to try each of their honey (mead) wines. They specialize in honey wine it seems and I thought it was really interesting to taste the difference in each of the variations of their mead wine. I ended up buying the mead wine that was thinned with apple cider vinegar. I found that there was a smooth after taste with this one that I preferred. My friends also found this to be one of the more impressive wineries. Their service was friendly and wines were unique. The estate itself was beautiful and picturesque with lots of areas for photos ops.

The winery was gorgeous, the tasting room was small, but there is a patio in the front to relax. The tasting room also has four meads to taste. The staff was knowledgeable about the wine and mead and able to give suggestions. There is no set price for the tastings, instead they ask for a donation that is given to the charity that they selected for that month. Drinking wine and doing good at the same time.

Despite stucco work being done to their tasting room, this place is truly STUNNING! The grounds, the outdoor seating area, and the tasting room really relaxes you and transports you to another non-Canadian wine country. Rosewood sets itself apart by being a meadery, e.g. honey wines. It's the world's oldest alcoholic beverage, who knew? So wines are on the sweeter side. Tastings were $10/4, but apparently there's a Yelp Check-in special...for FREE?? I'll hafta go again to confirm! :) They'll also offer honey tastings of a couple of honeys they produce on-site. Honeys were ok, but go for the mead tasting! I absolutely loved the outdoor seating area that they created. It provides a sense of calm and really makes you stop and enjoy the view. Stunning and unique place!

If Rosewood is any indication of what we're in for here at Niagara on the lake this is going to be an expensive trip and well worth it. The wines here are easily world class. Amazing high quality wines that are well worth the visit - and putting into your cellar.

Excellent selection of wines and a really neat day out. A couple of friends and I came out here to check out their beekeeping and wine tours. The beekeeping tour was very interesting. A small group of us suited up and were showed how beekeeping works by the owner, who's family has been doing this for generations. It was neat being up close to the hives, we even got to hold a honeycomb that was full of bees, which is pretty trippy. After that, we went to the winery area and had a tour including tastings. It's clear that everyone who works there is incredibly passionate about what they do, and it shows in their products. We each bought a bottle of reasonably priced, and very delicious, wine to take home. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, not nearly as snooty as I thought a wine tour might be.

Stop to find a Mead for Becky and I highly recommend the stop if you're up this way. Wines are great, they dont compete, probably they'd embarrass the competition! Kimberly and Bianca are wonderful hosts!

What a fabulous afternoon spent here at rosewood! One of the staff members was kind enough to chat about the estate and the honey farms located on property! He did a tasting with us and was in-depth about their wines and the love that goes into them! Highly recommended

Rosewood was one of my favorite winery in twenty valley. It has small but nice tasting room with full of various wines and honey product. They have their own beehives, produce own honey and candles. I liked 2011 Gewurtztraminer and other whites. They have pretty solid wines. Staffs were friendly and they were very passionate about their wine. It's small winery run by family, it has definitely character and personality in it. They waved wine tasting fee cause we bought some bottles.

The patio area is very clean and well-organized, with a relaxed vibe perfect for a casual outing. Unfortunately, the kitchen wasn't able to accommodate my wife's allergy, due to their small kitchen and risk of cross-contamination with other foods, which was disappointing, so we stuck to drinks only. I had the Cherry Cider, which was crisp and refreshing, while my wife ordered a wine flight that she really enjoyed. I tried the fruity and granola parfait, and I'd definitely recommend it. We also spent some time playing corn-hole near the patio, which was a fun touch and added to the laid-back atmosphere. There's plenty of parking along the side and back of the property, and overall, the operation seems well run. While this visit didn't quite go as planned, we may return for a drink-only visit in the future.
