This is THE place to go when visiting Murfreesboro, as recommended by the owner of Music World Drummer's Den. The food is so delicious, a wide variety of options & entrees, the service is impeccable, & the staff is amazing! I had their spaghetti & it was the best I've ever had! The manager even came by & introduced himself! This place has been around for a long time & is family owned & ran.

Demos' has been in Manchester for decades serving up classic Italian as well as traditional American dishes. Inside the restaurant is a nice warm vibe that reminds you of the 60s. We were greeted by a vey friendly server. Their daily lunch special had very good deals such as Chicken Primavera for just $7.95. I tried their blackened chicken pasta which came with chunks of chicken in Louisiana cream sauce. The chicken was nicely seasoned and wasn't over loaded with sauce. I also recommend their famous side of chicken and rice soup. If you're in the mood for good food served in a cozy atmosphere then checkout Demos'

We came here while visiting family during our first visit to TN. Here is my breakdown. Food: 2.5-3/5 The food here, in my opinion, was just ok. I ordered the lasagna, my wife ordered the spaghetti, my brother in-law ordered the steak. My lasagna was ok, but my brother in-law ordered medium-rare but the steak came out very rare. My boys usually devour chicken fettuccine, but they did not each very much of it tonight. Price: 5/5 The price may have been average for the area, but this was the first restaurant we went to since arriving in TN from CA. So, from what I'm used to at home, the prices here were excellent! I'm used to seeing $22-28 per pasta dish at home. Here, the average price was $15 a dish. Some things cheaper or more depending on the meat. Customer Service: 5/5 The customer service was excellent. The servers were extremely attentive and friendly. The food arrived quick. We were extremely happy with the customer service. Ambiance: 4/5 The ambiance was nice. The restaurant is pretty big and each room has a slightly different vibe. We were here with several extended family members and it was good for an outing like that. Demo's is a good place to go if you are looking for a lively place to go with friends or family for well priced, average food.

Simply exquisite bread.. Excellent service, superb pepper grinding skills, incredible beans and rice, "The Soup" - lives up to it's name.. Brought us back to our childhoods, homemade buns were fantastic, I'll be returning very soon hungry for more.. Cambell was our waitress and was friendly and professional, handled a mistaken order from our party with class and kindness!

Whenever I get a chance to visit middle Tennessee, my friend and I always make it a point to try to make at least one visit to Demos to remember how delicious their baked chicken soup is, experience, the unbelievably friendly and courteous service and be welcomed by one restaurant, but really knows how to make you feel like part of the family. Family run, this restaurant is legendary and their ability to take basic simple recipes like burgers, steaks and pasta and elevate them just enough to make them into a special family experience. The restaurant has always been welcoming and cozy with a sense that it's like coming home to an aunt that saved you a place at her dining room table. Love the pot roast, the ribeye steak sandwich, and we usually take home a gallon of the baked chicken soup to enjoy at home over the next few days. It is one place that I always remember from every trip to Murphysboro and stands out from all the rest. restaurant capacity and parking can handle at least 200 people.

I like Demo's and the food is usually good. My kids like to go there and so do my friends and family. The prices are good and has a nice atmosphere. Not too loud and on occasion that wait isn't long or bad. 3.5 stars though for service. For me it's been a real hit or miss with the service. It's either they're great and/ or sociable but on other times it's just lack luster for the service. I guess you just have to get the right person on the right day. I hope my next trip back we have someone who wants to be our server. I still tipped 20% because the food was good and came out in a timely manner.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a local business owner so my expectations were pretty high given the rave reviews. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted.... by everyone. Very refreshing! We were immediately seated. The waitress, Keira came by very quickly to take our order. She made some recommendations which I love! Super friendly. My mom and I tried the spinach, rib eye steak, sirloin. We had side salads, baked potato and pasta. Ohhhh, the bread..... yikes! So delicious!! The spinach had boiled egg pieces in it. A little strange but it worked. My mom's steak was cooked perfectly. I asked for my ribeye to be cooked medium rare. Well, it was almost mooing, so regretfully I had to ask to have it cooked a little bit longer. Not a big deal and they were extremely nice about it. They even brought out another serving of spinach. All in all, this was pure comfort food at an excellent price for2 steak dinners and all the extras. The most impressive thing was the consistent, excellent service by everyone. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. Good food can be found just about anywhere, great customer service is priceless!

First time visitors to this place and it was great. We were a large party and were promptly seated when we arrived. The staff was attentive and friendly. The menu has a good selection ranging from pasta dishes, to seafood, chicken and a couple other categories. Their biscuits are perfectly flavored and fluffy and the cheese bread with marinara was delicious! Portions are good, not too much food but for most of us we brought home left overs. The chicken and rice soup was a perfect start to the meal too!

Okay first off, let's settle the debate of pronunciation. Because the possessive apostrophe is after the S (Demos') and not before the S (Demo's), it is pronounced like DEE-MUSS-ES. If the possessive apostrophe were removed it would still be spelled Demos ( DEE-MUSS), but because there's an apostrophe you add the extra ES sound at the end. ANYWAYS... This is one fantastic Italian family eatery! Their signature rice soup is very very good, their blackened chicken pasta is devine, and their cheesy bread is oh so good. The cheesy bread we got as an appetizer, but all food comes with rolls as a starter on the house which are even better in my opinion! I took my girlfriend here on a date and was not disappointed. Prices were fair and their portions were generous. Our service was good, and the vibe was cozy. An overall great place to eat!

So much so, we kept talking about it over and over for several months until we broke down and went back. The second experience shattered the illusion we had of the first. Service was extremely rude and rushed from the moment we stepped into the front door and had to deal with a hostess in the worst mood possible for dealing face-to-face with clientele. To the waiter for the evening, who did not want to be bothered with us as they were "tending to a large party in the back". To the food and drinks, which - for the price - were extremely underwhelming. Other than their fries, which have always been good, everything seemed like it lacked the seasoning and pizazz that our meal did the first time we went in. Next go round, attempt at redemption, was met with similar vibes from the previous attempt. Not quite as rude of service, but still rushed/understaffed, and less-than-appetizing fare for the evening/price paid. Sure, everything looks good, but sometimes something is just off enough to clock and you can taste it just misses the mark for some reason or another. Last time we visited just for cocktails and dessert and while our server this time was more than friendly and very welcoming, the atmosphere was still very rushed and we were told yet again that they were 'understaffed' for the evening, so the servers were all darting around hustling as quickly as possible. Made for a less-than-inviting, not quite cozy atmosphere that, again - for the price out here in the burbs - wasn't what we were hoping for.

If you're someone who doesn't always want a burger at a burger restaurant, it's definitely worth trying. Another menu item that surprised me was the deviled eggs. They're a unique twist on a classic appetizer and not something you see at most restaurants. The food is consistently good, the menu has a lot of variety, and it's one of the few places I keep coming back to without getting tired of it. I got the buttermilk bacon for my burger and it should only be served as a side or appetizer. The half slice of bacon is breaded so it is over an inch thick and there were 4 pieces on the patty. There is no way this could fit in a normal sized mouth if you add any lettuce or other condiments. I asked for Brie and got one 1" slice. Definitely not what I expected for a $3 up charge. The sweet potato fries were inedible due to the salt they were doused with. I will, however, recommend the house fried chips with onion dip and it was a shame to have to leave it since there was so much of it. It probably would be great in place of mayo on a burger. I also observed 5-6 people wandering in and out of the back that weren't wearing uniforms but seemed to know everyone as they stood around chatting. Why??? Not very professional for food service. One young man in particular kept running his hand thru his long hair as he stood near the staff area for drinks and the pass. Ugh! There was also another guy with hair down to his waist that was pulled back but man!, that ponytail was swinging loose everywhere from the kitchen to the bar. Again, ugh! Neither of those would I want near where my food was being prepared. The menu is a fun looking and eclectic mess but we won't be back. I prefer a food be under-salted as one can always add more if needed and the hair completely turned me off.
