The counter workers were all friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A casual atmosphere in a convenient location with plenty of parking. They also have hot sausage, bratwurst, and a turkey dog and a veggie one, with plenty of sides to choose from, as well. By the way, the root beer float was delicious and refreshing, too! I ordered two Joey Dogs and a Bratwurst, all "all the way" which is mustard, onion, and their homemade chili. That snap when you bite into them? Very nice. They use dogs made for them by Usinger's. I also had the redskin potato salad (loaded with dill, just how I like it) and a scoop of Italian pasta salad, both solid sides but the potato salad was my favorite. Prices are reasonable, portions are fair, and the whole experience just feels honest and no-frills. Staff was warm and welcoming. Worth noting: they've got Christian-themed decor and worship music playing. I'm not religious, but it didn't feel pushy--just part of the vibe. If you are Christian, you'll probably find that aspect especially appealing. All in all, this is a great little local gem. I'd absolutely come back.

We ordered a cone of Vanilla, and a Chili Dog. The chili dog was very good, but the ice cream was outstanding, as good as we'd remembered it being!

I got a Reese's Cup blitzen and it was very good with the vanilla ice cream and Reese's Cup mixed in and was hard. The blitzen was way better than Dairy Queen. My wife got a hot fudge brownie and there were two brownies with vanilla ice cream in between. She said it was good but the brownie could have tasted better. Overall, we all really enjoyed it. They also came with fries or onion rings, funnel cake fries, and a drink of your choice. Two of the guys had the root beer and said it was pretty good. Now as for the dogs, the two guys that had the coneys were happy with them, although one was hoping for a little more spice from the chili, but it was by no means bad. The burnt ends dog was said to be pretty freaking good. As for the American dog, we'll that was a different story. It wasn't a bad dog, but it tasted like it had been boil cooked and not cooked on the griddle. Additionally, it wasn't really that warm. I guess warm is a good description for it. It would have been better if it was hot and you could see some cooking marks on it. Alas, it was and had neither. But again, it wasn't a bad dog, but it could have been much better. The onion rings were pretty tasty though, as were the funnel cake fries and crinkle cut fries. This night was Wednesday, so it was trivia night. At 6:30. At about 6:00 people really started to come in, and by 6:30, the place was packed. Guess trivia night is a big hit... The people working there were super friendly and you fealt as if they were happy to be there. I would have given it 5 stars, but tbe warm dog just brought my experience down a bit. But don't let that stop you from going there, because you'll probably have a good time with good food and good people.
