We ordered a cone of Vanilla, and a Chili Dog. The chili dog was very good, but the ice cream was outstanding, as good as we'd remembered it being!

Our 8 year old girl got a banana split and really enjoyed it. Our other 8 year old girl got an Oreo milkshake and said it was as good as Dairy Queen. Our 5 year old boy got a cone with chocolate ice cream in a chocolate shell and really enjoyed it. I got a Reese's Cup blitzen and it was very good with the vanilla ice cream and Reese's Cup mixed in and was hard. The blitzen was way better than Dairy Queen. My wife got a hot fudge brownie and there were two brownies with vanilla ice cream in between. She said it was good but the brownie could have tasted better. Overall, we all really enjoyed it. Dominion Dogs was absolutely worth the stop. We tried several items, including the German Dog, corn…read moredog, and pickle fries, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The German Dog had a great combination of sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard, with plenty of topping in every bite. The corn dog was golden and crisp on the outside with a juicy hot dog inside. The real surprise was the pickle fries. They were crunchy, tangy, well seasoned, and especially good with the dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of creative choices beyond ordinary hot dogs, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant also has a welcoming, family-owned feel that makes the experience even better. A fun local spot with great food and plenty of personality. We would definitely return and try more of the menu.

Let's see how this stop turned out. We were able to get a table during lunch time where there was a good crowd on hand. Since it was the 4th, I expected there would be a few more. The staff was pretty busy taking care of diners and orders ready for takeout. It was a little warm inside, but it wasn't a surprise given the weather was really hot. And there was a fan literally behind is blowing out much needed air. The special they had for the 4th was $2.50 corn dogs and $2.50 PBR beer. We said no to beer, but couldn't resist corn dogs. My order consisted of two of them and a small order of cheese curds. Sophia ordered two corn dogs and a Roadhouse hot dog. This was the first time in a long time I'me had corn dogs so I couldn't resist given the special. And boy did they deliver. I actually started to get full after eating my first one. They were really good and well cooked. And great call to add cheese curds to the meal. Tasted great especially with the sauce. Sophia enjoyed her selections and had leftovers to take home as well. There you have it. Another great lunch for the two of us. We'll be back soon :)

I looked up the history on Google because I was curious about how old this diner was. This little diner has been open since 1920 and in its current location since 1939. We both ordered the country-style steak. It was excellent. Service was also very good; the waitress was very attentive to us. If we ever ever driving up this way again, I would definitely visit this place again in the future!

The stuff that my waist line thanks me for not cooking, if you know what I mean... I opted for the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, brother chose the pork chop special with mashed potatoes and pickled cukes and onions. The mains were amazing. The pork chop was huge and thick and delicious, the country fried steak was so good, the gravy on both was delicious. The price was a steal. They were both amazing. The mashed potatoes were also both delicious, definitely homemade and not from a box. The baked Mac and cheese was just okay. It tasted like normal homemade Mac and cheese, nothing particularly special, but then I feel like baking it always just dries it out and sort of breaks the cheese sauce, so I would definitely skip that next time in favor of something else. The cukes were also just okay, we got it to feel like we were trying a healthier option, but will probably just splurge for something else next time. We were a little disappointed though, I do understand that this is a local restaurant and some things are harder to get and keep on the menu and keep in stock, especially if you don't want waste, but we initially tried to order corn cakes but they were out, then rolls but they were out, then went with biscuits. Then brother got the last pork chop plate. They have been out of pickle fries for "awhile now". If you aren't particularly picky about what you want to order, cool. I only particularly like cornbread/corncakes, so I was pretty bummed. The people are super friendly though, and a lot of locals seem to come by for their hotdogs (like, a LOT. Clearly we are missing something not ordering the dogs.) I'll definitely be back on days that I had a really healthy breakfast and plan on breaking my healthy streak with something fried and covered in gravy.
