Dined at PennePazze on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at around 1 pm. I was intrigued by the black to-go boxes when my family ordered delivery that I had to stop by in-person. The restaurant looked like a clean fast-casual establishment, kinda reminds me of Vapiano's with the open kitchen. Despite the limited service, I thought it was super convenient to order through the app and pay. And the server was super friendly. I had the nonna Paula, which is a campanelle pasta with pesto sauce. I thought this dish tasted authentic and the pesto was freshly made. I did add on shrimp, which were tasted overcooked to mush. The vegan pinsa tasted really good considering it had no cheese. The onion jam on the pizza was delicious!

This establishment is somewhat of self service set up. Plan to place your order in your phone and if you're ordering a soft drink you can fill and refill on your own. They do validate parking so wait until you get inside to scan the QR code for that. Now let's get down to my favorite part, the food. I have never had a bad tasting item here. I love their Nina Paula (pesto pasta), carbonara, and gnocchi crema di Gorgonzola pastas. We also regularly order their Pinsa Malala pizza. The food is delicious and filling. They offer casual indoor and patio seating. I have never had a bad experience and am a repeat customer.

    Arugula salad

I read an article about this restaurant and decided to come for lunch. My friend had Carbonara and I had Amatriciana and shared Arugula salad. They were sooo good. I love my pasta al dente and most of the restaurants in middle TN so called "Italian" cook pasta way too much, but this one was perfect. I will definitely come back and will try different dishes.

The service was good. It's very hands off though since you order on your phone. There is little communication with the staff. The food was ok but honestly I thought my main dish was a little dry. The appetizer we got was very good. it was pretty busy in there, but it didn't seem to feel too crowded. We sat at the end of the bar. Was a little awkward with my wife and I both looking into the kitchen instead of at each other. Not very exciting overall but definitely not terrible.

    Rage & Funghi. EXCELLENT!

This is my second time here and I wish I would've come back sooner! Excellent in every way. I had the Ragu & Funghi and the pasta was a PERFECT al dente. Sauce was delectable. Also the soda fountain drinks were awesome if you like that kinda thing! Service was good and food was out FAST. I'll definitely be coming back to try other dishes. I was hesitant about ordering off my phone with the QR code but in the end it was super easy and I think I'd like more places to have that option!!!

First time here with my cousins and this place is amazing! Everything is done through their QR code: drinks, food, and payment. I ordered their chicken carbonara and it was a good amount of food. It was so delicious, packed with flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right. It's flat thin noodles and I think it's homemade. The servers were super nice and nice. Definitely come check them out!

    No Ice

While the food was fine, I would barely call any of this "service." Sat ourselves, self check out through a QR code menu, self serve drinks. For the price point? NOT worth it. Not to mention the ice machine being out of ice and the lamp at our table being broken. If the "servers" aren't actually waiting any tables, you'd think there'd be time to fix/replace things to justify charging so much for the ambience. Would not recommend, and will not be returning.

Tried nona paula and tiramasu here. Both are yummy. Panini could have been better, but overall liked this place.

All I have to say is, "THANK THE GOOD LORD MURFREESBORO HAS THIS ITALIAN RESTAURANT!!!" The only downside I can find is the restaurant is fairly small so you may have to wait a little. Regardless, it's worth being patient in order to experience good Italian. Parking is easy as it is in a huge plaza. My personal favorite is the Pinsa Pazza Pizza. It's seriously heaven. Paired with a bottle of Chianti and you have a night!!

Fast casual dining where you are seated and then you order everything via the QR code, they will bring you a paper menu ("if you insist"). The wait staff was not a 10 on the friendly meter. A bit hard to explain, I feel like that needs to be a must if you are only seating and delivering food. My gnocchi and beet salad were fantastic. The lasagna was not my cup of tea, but the other people I went with loved it (heavy on the meat for me). They also raved about the pizza. I would go back with a different mindset.

Freshly made pizza and pasta dish. All orders made thru QR code on your mobile phone. Easy self check out. Not a whole lot of table service. You pretty much self refilling your own drinks. They do deliver your food to the table. The location nice with patio seating. The quality of pizza was good. One order more than enough for one person.

Everything we got was delicious! It was fast service and chill atmosphere. It was very different from a lot of chain restaurants in the area. The crust on the pizza was very flavorful and the sauce on my pasta was very good!!

I visited with my parents during their last trip to town since the restaurant happened to be nearby. Upon walking in, the decor felt a little confusing. The menu clearly presents the restaurant as a grill, but the interior still seemed heavily influenced by what may have previously been an Asian restaurant space. The renovation didn't feel entirely cohesive, which made the atmosphere a bit disjointed. That said, the staff was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. Throughout the meal, however, there seemed to be an underlying sense of stress among the staff that was noticeable despite their efforts to remain professional and attentive. It created a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere at times. For dinner, we ordered the filet with broccoli and French fries, while another guest ordered a salad. Unfortunately, the salad had to be sent back because it arrived with blue cheese despite a requested omission due to an allergy. Thankfully, the issue was corrected. The filet itself was cooked to the requested temperature, and overall the food was fine, but nothing particularly stood out as memorable. Everything was acceptable, though not especially remarkable. Overall, Firebird Grill may work well for larger groups or families looking for a convenient, casual meal, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, it's probably not a place I'd personally revisit.

My wife had the chicken platter and also received a huge portion. Despite the business's name, it appears this is closer to Egyptian rather than Greek cuisine. The french fries were perfect - crisp and nicely seasoned. Also, there's no salt on the tables (only hot sauce), although little salt & pepper packets can be found on a wall shelf. The pita bread was soft and warm. Of the meats, the gyro had some subtle flavor and was nice. Nothing tasted bad, but the salad, feta, chicken, rice, tzatziki, etc. was incredibly bland. In fact, it was so tasteless that it was off-putting and we couldn't even finish our meals. We're clearly not the target audience for this type of offering.
