I decided on the grilled lamb with the salad and rice plus a side of the veggies I saw on the grill when I came in. Food was delivered hot and quickly. Overall, the meal was good but nothing special. The salad was fresh and the dressing OK, the rice did not have much in the way of flavor, and the lamb was lightly seasoned. The grilled vegetables while cooked Al dente were over-flavored with lemon juice making for a pungent flavor. While the food was OK, it is not a place I would repeat. read more

A number assigned then Your food brought to your table. The drinks and everything else self serve. The spicy chicken gyro to me has some spice taste but no heat spicy level. Seating options--inside or outside; booth, table or hi-top. Menu is posted at the door but also at the counter. You order and they bring to the table. Not bad for quick food. It is Mediterranean with an American flair. I had the grilled beef gyro and my husband had the grilled chicken gyro. Each comes with chips and a second side. He had the red potatoes which were AMAZING I had fruit which was also pretty tasty. Order came out pretty fast so probably a good spot for a quick lunch if working nearby. It was rather busy at 12:40ish. They now also apparently have alcohol at dinner (after 5PM). I would come back for the potatoes for sure. read more

Great food. Very clean establishment. Small outdoor seating option so you can bring your furry friend and enjoy the patio on a beautiful day. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant is clean and laid out nicely. You go up to the front to place your order and pay. Then, they give you a number for your table. They'll bring your food out and will also bus your table when you're finished. I had the chicken kabobs and they had great flavor! Came by a few days after they opened and was blown away by how good the food was for a fast causal chain. I ordered the build your own feast with chargrilled lamb, Greek salad and roasted potatoes. The star of the show was the lamb which was tender and moist and cooked perfectly. The. Service was fast and friendly and despite it being a busy night and being a new staff our food only took about 5 minutes to make it to our table. Feta and harissa are the predominant flavoring of choice here. We really enjoyed our visit. I only awarded four stars because it was basically an excellent convenient food place and not a sit-down restaurant. Add full order takers, remove the line to order, add linens and a few more such dress ups and I could see five stars, but not yet. Many times before I have included in my reviews that I do not evaluate chain restaurants because they all meet corporate standards, grossly annoy me, or there happens to be some outstanding event. There seems to be a new chain restaurant concept that is not some national giga-corporation, but local or regional restaurants. I like these. I will evaluate them as they are harder to find and do not look like Mc-Tacos, or Sub-Fish. My wife and I liked this place - a lot. So, for the food: My wife had a chicken salad and she really enjoyed it. The chicken was covered in harissa which she proclaimed as flavor and spicy but not hot. We shared the tomato soup and a baklava cheesecake. The soup was very good, fresh, but not raw and the basil and feta balanced well with it. Being New Yorkers, we are fussy about our cheesecake and were intrigued by the title. A thin layer of baklava rested on top, but it was hard to cut through. I had to peel it off and eat it independently. Perhaps if they chopped the baklava and put it on top, it would be easier to eat. By the way, the baklava was quite good. Between that layer and a sponge cake type bottom (crust?) was the cheesecake. It was not a gooey, "let's see how much cream cheese we can use" cake. It was well balance with a nice flavor. For my main meal, I got the lamb burger. Two meat patties were inside the bun with great Greek style veggies, etc. The lamb tasted like lamb. This is actually a high compliment. Many restaurants, and even some grocery store meat counters use some other strange kind of meat. Here, it tastes like lamb and not some flavorless grey patty of questionable origin. The unsweet iced tea was the best I've had in any fast-food shop. Value was good. My wife commented that it was a lot of food, but the bill was commensurate with the quantity and quality. Service was excellent. You pay for your order and get a card to stick on a car antenna looking thing and they bring the food to you. And they bus your table. Everyone was friendly. We did get there 20 minutes after opening and by the time we left there was hardly a seat available. Take-out business looked brisk also. As the place in brand new, of course it was clean and cheery with many window to brighten the place. The restaurant accepts in person, online, and phone in orders. After seeing the length of the line, I opted for a phone in order. After the order was placed, I had a 15 minute, reasonable wait. I ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken and balsamic dressing. The salad was both amazing and flavorful. The chicken was seasoned in a way that complimented the moist chicken. Just went to Taziki's again last evening. ordered the grilled chicken gyro with the tomato cucumber salad. The chicken was so tender it melted in your mouth. The pita bread was soft and delicious. The tzatziki sauce is the best I have ever had. it is creamy and fresh. There is nothing bad I can say about this restaurant. Except maybe that they do not give you quite enough tzatziki sauce. The food is so fresh and delicious. I have had the Mediterranean Salad, Caesar Salad, Spicy Chicken Gyro and the regular Chicken Gyro. The Rice and red potatoes are amazing sides. It does take a while to get your order, would be the only issue yet I appreciate fresh food. If you are in a rush this is not the place. The customer service is incredible. I would not recommend. Some of my chicken from my grilled chicken Caesar salad was undercooked. My fiancés shrimp were over cooked, they added wrong items to the salad like pepper, onions, etc. They also gave us the wrong salad dressing. The staff are very nice. Hard working. Diligent. They clearly were happy to have this location and work there. It showed. If hard working friendly service drives you then visit this Taziki's. The food was okay. My wife had a soup which she did not enjoy compared to similar soup at Demos. My daughter had chicken and basmati rice and she was moderately happy with it. Both of them said that the lemon flavor in the soup and in the rice was overwhelming. We had pita bread and hummus. The hummus was, indeed, .... lemony. I have eaten Greek food at a lot of places. I've not had this feature. It was not something we enjoyed. I had a lamb gyro. It was good. Against Opah or the little gyro shop on Memorial where Fat MO's used to be, I'd rank this third. I had the tomato and cucumber salad with it. Not lemony. Which was a plus. The setup is a little loud for me. Hard surfaces, loudish music and large, open room with such a high ceiling made it an echo chamber. Would I go back? Yes. If it was just me and a quick gyro lunch when I was in the neighborhood.
