These people know their coffee and how to make it! They really take care to give you the best coffee experience they can. They offer a changing variety of selected coffees and if you like the coffee, you can purchase beans or get coffee ground to go. Prices are reasonable. For a small place there's quite a bit of seating inside as well as a couple tables outside along Main Street. Staff is not only knowledgeable, but also friendly. I am surprised by all these 5 star reviews and no mention of the wait times to get a cup of coffee at All Good. I used to be a weekly customer until I finally just couldn't take the wait any more. 20 to 30 minutes in line, watching the very nice owner/barista make each drink with painstaking attention. I know the quality of the drinks are great, the atmosphere is great, the faces are friendly. But seriously, you gotta lose stars to reflect the fact that customers who show up will be waiting in a long, sloooow moving line to get their All Good coffee. read more

We ordered two vanilla lattes which were made perfectly to order which came with a wonderful cream on top. We also ordered a hot tea with cream and vanilla. The tea was absolutely delicious! Very disappointed in how we were treated on our recent visit to Allgood Coffee. My husband and I have visited this coffee shop many times before. As with all of our visits it started out great with the owner telling us about the drinks and even letting us smell the coffee beans. I got the Chi latte and a cookie and my husband got an Americano. All were delicious and cost $17 (including a $2 tip) We sat at a table and had our laptops to do a little work. There was a sign on the table that said there was a limit of 45 minutes which I understand as I am sure it gets busy during the afternoon. However, while we were there we were the only ones sitting in the place. After 47 minutes exactly (I had made note of time seeing the sign) the owner came up holding a sign and said he was reminding us of the 45 minute limit. I hadn't finished my drink yet and there was ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE IN THERE. My husband was about to order another coffee since I had not finished my drink yet and we had planned on staying only about another 10 minutes. After the owner pretty much telling us to leave we felt extremely unwelcome and packed up and left right away. If you only have two customers in your shop who are about to order more why would you ask them to leave!??? Because of this new ridiculous rule, Allgood Coffee has now lost two loyal customers. read more

Let me start by saying, after 44 years on this planet and almost all of those spent drinking coffee (I started young), the BEST cup of coffee I ever had came from Allgood Coffee in Weaverville, NC! I come from the land of Dunkin Donuts, spent time in the coffee-snobbish Pacific Northwest, and have crisscrossed the country four times over the past 3 years - no cup of coffee has even come close to what I was lucky enough to sample from Allgood. Simply put, the coffee here is brewed with the same craftsmanship and attention to detail that I look for in all my craft beer. Eric was able to tell me every morning what part of the world my coffee came from and more impressive what flavor notes I should pick up (I didn't always get them all but that's on me & my taste buds, they're fine-tuned for beer), just amazing. The place itself is comfortable, the staff is friendly, and you can do a lot of shopping there - I bought food & gifts on top of my daily 2 large ice coffees. I said to Eric when I left NC that Allgood has ruined me for all other coffee, and that statement stands true - get in there and treat yourself ASAP! read more

Out-of-Town Yelper here. While in Asheville (this is in Weaverville though), was trying to scope out coffee shops to test and try out. Came across this one here! I won't type out my typical format here as I'm not super familiar with this place or the area. So I will get right into it. I was with my best friend and fiancee. I ordered a cold brew with lavender syrup to be spontaneous. It was okay. My best friend and fiancee ordered a flavored latte - one caramel and the other raspberry. The flavors were very overpowering. It was super caramel-y and raspberry-y. The shop itself is very cute. Looks rustic. Also looked like a bunch of locals were chillin in the shop. I wouldn't say that I wouldn't go here, but I don't think I would go out of my way to come here. If I'm around, I'll stop by and give it another shot! Friday morning I needed to drive to Burnsville for work and I remembered to stop by All Good Coffee. It's about a half block from my home but in the opposite direction that I usually drive. My favorite coffee is cubano (the Americanized version of cubano) but it wasn't on the menu. I asked if they could make that and was told it wouldn't be a true cubano but similar. I was very pleased with my "similar cubano." It had a slightly sweet taste on the front and a very slight bitter back bite to even out the sweet. Just near perfect. There was a guitar/soloist playing which seemed unusual for a Friday morning. While I waited I could hear light, friendly chatter, work discussions, and some folks appeared to be quietly working on their computers. There was local art and handmade crafts displayed and for sale. All Good is located in an old store front building which formerly housed the Weaverville Fire Department. The dimly lit interior features a wood slat ceiling and wood trim to give it a somewhat rustic feel. Not too modern here which matches the building and not too fancy which matches the Weaverville vibe. Good coffee takes time. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

The best coffee shop in Asheville...isn't actually in Asheville. And nobody seems to know about it. First, it's important to note that this coffee shop has a "cool factor" of negative one. I'm not sure I've ever heard music playing there, but if I did it would probably be "smooth jazz". They have a few pieces of coffee cake on the counter that don't look particularly inspired. There's also some uninspired art hanging on the wall and a few shelves of uninspired merchandise. They keep funny hours. They close around sunset, because who would want to stay up late and drink coffee? Nobody particularly interesting ever goes to this coffee shop. There's nothing interesting nearby. What makes this coffee shop extraordinary, despite the hopelessly uncool vibe that emanates from the doors like a haze, is that it nails the Asheville coffee shop trifecta: 1) excellent, world-class coffee 2) reliable wifi, and 3) a parking lot of its very own. The counter staff are wonderful friendly people. They're a bunch of coffee nerds. This is what I'm talking about when I talk about people who write doctoral dissertations on coffee in this town. They'll take 10-15 minutes to fix you a latte, and when its ready, you'll think "this is where good little lattes go when they die." It should come with its own teeny harp and cloud, because it's that heavenly. They will also probably want to talk to you for another 10 minutes about how they chose the perfect beans to make that particular latte. And how it's different from their cappuccino beans, and they'll tell you the exact pump pressure they set their machine at, how many PSI they tamped the beans at, and how many seconds it took to pour. You get the picture. Once I saw them get into a rather heated philosophical discussion with the guy who came to fix their bean grinder. I know a lot about coffee, but I was pretty out of my depth, listening to them. Whatever it was, it was something very meticulous. I've never seen them try to make "latte art." Your foam doesn't come in the shape of a heart or a squiggly leaf. They probably could do this if they wanted, but they can't be bothered because they're not trying to be cool. There's usually 3-4 people in the shop at a time, and that seems to be all the staff can handle (although the space itself could easily handle 30 or more). Those 3-4 people might not be cooler than you, but they're super smart. They're all drinking the best coffee in town, hands down. There's a much busier coffee shop just a block away that everyone seems to go to. All those people are losing out. All Good doesn't roast their own beans. They don't have to. They curate from excellent local roasters, and choose the right beans for the occasion, every time. In sum: Really all they do is make excellent coffee, slowly, and they're outstanding at it. read more
