My son and I loved our care here from 0-12 months! We unfortunately moved out of the area after this 12 months check up, but out of all the pediatricians we've seen (CA, TX, Germany..) Dr Ewing will always have our heart! We saw her at the Navarre office and the whole staff there was like family. We never had to wait too long (as we drove from FWB) and we never had issues with scheduling. Was a great practice. Mentioned moving at the last visit and today I called and left a voicemail highly concerned for my daughter and was told that she is no longer a patient and they can't tell us or help us with anything. My 7 month old daughter's first and only pediatrician and they can't help? I guess they would rather a baby be ill than give any word of advice. Today was a deplorable experienc at Pensacola Pediatrics, Gulf Breeze. My daughter, 4, spiked a fever and woke with a deep cough this mornin. I called the nurse line at 8:30 am, explained the symptoms and that I'd just been in NYC two weeks prior. The nurse said, " bring her in immediately to be tested for COVID." So we did. Upon arrival, we were told to wait in the car because our appointment wasn't until 2:00 PM. As patients or parents weren't allowed in the lobby, we waited in the car only to be texted that they tried to call about an earlier appointment, but IT WASN'T AVAILABLE any longer. We were still sitting outside! Then, as I protested that we'd been waiting outside for 3+ hours, they said the COVID test was $140!!!! When I noted that: The Families First Coronavirus Response Act ensures that COVID-19 testing is free to anyone in the U.S., including the uninsured. They said it would be $90 for the visit, but still made us wait. At 11:53, they locked the doors of the office to go on their lunch break from 12PM - 1PM. Deplorable experience. Several issues at the gulf breeze locations. At my very first visit I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told that they tried to call me (but they never left a message) to tell me my appointment would be moved to one hour later. Second appointment I had again arrived 15 minutes early this time my appointment was at 8:30am. They finally called us back to the room at 8:45am. We waited until 9:15 when finally I decided to check and see what was going on they said it would be another 30 minutes until the doctor would come in. I then decide to leave. Not once did they call me to apologize, I called the office manager and left a message and he never called me back either. They lack in communication, in organization and customer service. Dr Klein: I have known Dr Klein since I was a little girl, 20+ years ago. She now sees my daughter! I could not be more please with how great of a pediatrician she is! Always pays attention to detail and the parents concerns! Never dismisses any issues I have had and is absolutely wonderful with my daughter! Dr. Reese is the best pediatrician around! He is thorough, doesn't rush us EVER, and extremely knowledgeable! He is absolutely amazing. Called to make an appointment for my children and was told "yes" they are accepting new patients up to 13. Then, when I was transferred to a nurse who took my children's medical history, I was put on hold and told that she needed to speak with a doctor. When she returned to the line, they were suddenly not accepting new patients because "we've had a lot of newborns born recently, sorry." So, which is it? read more
