Scheduled to rent a truck the day before I needed it, on a weekend. Normally I go through U-Haul for truck rental, but when they didn't have anything available last minute, I needed to check my options. Penske was there to save the day! I reserved a 12' truck. I was just moving a new sectional couch from the store to my home, so I didn't need something huge. $34.49, plus tax and mileage was estimate. When I arrived, I was told that the 12' was not available as it had something wrong with it and was being worked on. They bumped me up to the next size at no additional charge. It came with a loading ramp which was very helpful. I was charged $274.53 initially. This included a $150 deposit, and 50 miles. I returned the truck, and my charge was then adjusted to $49.82, as I got the deposit back, and had only gone 13 miles. Not bad! The gentleman I worked with at the office when picking up and returning was very nice. He explained everything very clearly and I felt good about the overall transaction. I will probably use Penske again in the future. It's closer than the U-Haul I typically use, and the pricing it pretty similar. read more

The employees were very friendly and helpful. I also overheard them on the phone speaking with other customers, and it seemed like they were going above and beyond to help everyone they spoke to. I was using this location to drop off a truck and car trailer from a cross country move, and they made it very easy - I was able to drop off the car trailer early and keep the truck to unload. This was not a problem for them and they handled unhooking the trailer for me without any hassle. This seems like a very well-run location and I would definitely use them again in the future. Also, they have super convenient hours - including Sundays - so you can handle your move when it works for you! read more

We rented a truck with Penske 2 weeks in advance, after UHaul had suddenly canceled a reservation we made 5 months prior. The day before we were supposed to pick up a truck, we called to change the credit card number we were supposed to pay with. Upon calling, Penske told us they were "about to call us" because they had to push back our reservation by 5 hours. We had to legally move out of our apartment before then, so we begged and pleaded for any size truck for any price, which they could not give us. They were cagey and uncertain, put out and rude, only offering that "55 other people had trouble with their reservation." I will never use Penske again-- COVID does not warrant that kind of life altering bad news, announced to us only one day before we needed the truck. read more

Be very careful! I returned a truck a day early in the late afternoon, handing the documentation to a uniformed employee. I then get my credit card bill and find I've been charged as if the truck was turned in at 10:00 the next day causing an extra day's charge. After attempting to dispute the issue I'm still not able to get the charge removed. GET A RECEIPT AND DON'T COUNT ON AN EMPLOYEE HANDLING THE RETURN PROPERLY!!! read more

We rented a truck for a move from Madison, WI to Texas. We rented the largest truck they had. I did a lot of research beforehand and found Penske as the most reliable AND least expensive. Pick up and drop off was very fast and easy. The truck was newer and their entire fleet is diesel which gets better mpg than gasoline. The truck ran great, we had zero problems. If you are a AAA member you get a big enough discount to more than pay for your membership, plus you get a discount if you make your reservation online. I would recommend them time and time again! read more

I used a Penske truck to move. They employee had very little knowledge about the process of how to return the truck times or anything. I returned the truck on full tank and they proceeded to tell me the were still able to put 3 gallons in the tank and charged me 40.00 dollars even though the truck was returned on full. They are running a total scam job and you should not rent from them utilize other options such as UHaul. read more
