I am not typically the type to write reviews, especially for medical establishments, but the experience that I had today was so bad that I felt that I would be doing a disservice if I did not share. Starting about 3 days ago, I started experiencing some pressure and discomfort in my ear, which has a perforation, with no cold-like symptoms or drainage. I went to see a general doctor, who noted a slight inflammation of the inner ear and prescribed me some anti-biotic ear drops typically prescribed for children with ear tubes, which means that they would be safe for my perforated ear. I used them that night, but found that not all of the drops drained back out of my ear, leaving my ear feeling like there was water stuck in it. I did everything I could on my own to try to get the liquid out, to no avail, leading me to believe that some of the drops had become stuck in my middle ear. This was extremely uncomfortable and made hearing difficult, so my mom and I scheduled an appointment with PENTA - Cumming for 10 AM that morning. Upon arrival, we waited for fifteen minutes to be taken in, which is very common at PENTA. I have been going to PENTA, typically the Atlanta location, since I was a baby, and they have the tendency to take you in no less than 15 minutes later than when your appointment is supposed to start. So back to today, we go in, and the nurse takes my temperature and says that it is 100. Due to the Covid-19 policy in place, which I have absolutely no problem with and completely support, I am not able, then, to be seen by the doctor. I write this review not in response to that policy, but in response to the conduct of the nurse who assisted us. I completely understand that I would not be able to see the doctor, but when we asked her if we would be able to ask one question real quick, leave a question to get a response later, or call the office to ask the question once we had left she simply said no and left. The nurse made it extremely apparent that she did not give a shit and couldn't be bothered to do so. She did not make eye contact with us the whole time or even lead us back to the exit. Once I got home, I used 3 different thermometers, all of which read that I had a temperature of 98 or less. I write this review because having gone to PENTA my whole life, I have seen that many of the patients are differently abled and have special needs; I would hate for these patients and their families to face this extreme lack of apathy on behalf of the staff. I love the doctors here, but the staff ultimately ruins the experience. read more
