This metro station is extremely clean and efficient. A nice way to travel to and from work if you are in Pentagon City or serviced by a metro stop. $2.25 per ride is a great price to pay for the ease of travel offered by this metro stop which is just outside the pentagon entrance. read more

The young woman that was at the metro station assisted me today for my first turn with the transit system. Overwhelming situation made better. But then..... as I was exiting at Pentagon City Metro, right as we pulled in, I witnessed a guy getting jumped and beat up right before the doors open. In a matter of seconds..... Definitely a scary situation to see that happen on your first ride. The poor guy hobble to the exit to notify security. read more

This Metro station was managed by my neighbor. It mainly is for employees at the Pentagon, those getting on the buses that depart from here, or tourists visiting the 9/11 Memorial. The station is like the others and kept clean. There are no restrooms. read more

There are only a few reasons to use this stop. The first is because you work at the Pentagon. The second is because you are transferring one of the many buses. The third is because you are coming here as a visitor, to either tour the Pentagon or to visit the Pentagon Memorial. The station is serviced by the Blue and Yellow line and runs a regular basis. The day that I happened to use this station the Blue line ran all the way to Greenbelt. It confused me, but was convenient since I was going that way anyway. This has to be one of the most interesting of the metro stations in the DMV. All of the stations I have been to before were just wide set stations. This one is multi level and that threw me for a loop, but easy to figure out. Probably one of the easiest to get to the platforms as well. read more

I'm only ever here early in the morning when I'm town for the Marine Corps Marathon. This Metro station services the blue and yellow lines. This is the station that we exit out of before we walk up to the start line over on the 110 highway. When you come out of the station, there's the transit center with several bus bays. read more

At the Pentagon is a Metro station. It stops right outside the public entrance. Makes it easy for tourists. Gets busy. There's also employees who are in and out. Fairly clean. It serves the Blue and Yellow Lines. These both go the same way. It's a pretty easy station to get around. The entrance is just by this. Also use it to get to the Pentagon Memorial. There's also busses from multiple systems to get onto. Among these are the Arlington and the Metro busses. These aren't interchangeable and you'll need the correct ticket. It overall is a good place for getting around. It's convenient to get to the Pentagon. There's plenty of busses to make transfers. read more

It's a station and for tourists, the fact that it's under the Pentagon is meh. Good station to use for changing from the Blue line (that makes a big loop up through Arlington and Rosslyn, or you can jump here to the Yellow line and skip all of that if you just want to quickly get to L'Enfant or Archives station. Station markings could be better, but I was able to figure it out. Sadly, on Saturday when I went through the station, there wasn't any of this famed eye candy. I feel left out. read more

Bottom Line: As the name implies, a basic Metro station on the Blue and Yellow Lines serving the Pentagon and Pentagon Memorial. Most Metro stations are the same - red hexagon tiles on the ground, dim lighting, waffle roof, long escalators and the smell of an electrical train. This station has all of those "features," plus its small size makes it easy and obvious to navigate. Two lines come through here, Yellow and Blue, and they are both on the same platform so there aren't multiple levels or tons of pedestrian overpasses to navigate like some stations. As can be expected, this station is busy during weekdays as professionals and service members hustle to and from their DoD jobs at one of the world's largest office building. Tourists also use this station to pay their respects to those who perished on 9/11 during attack on the historical and powerful office building. The signage in the strike is very clear. So that it's easy to take the right exit for the Pentagon visitors center, Pentagon Memorial or Pentagon employee entrance. Although the Blue and Yellow lines run together for a handful of stops, this is the last stop where they run in parallel she heading north. So, if you need to switch from Yellow to Blue or Blue to Yellow, this is your last chance. read more

Located close to the Pentagon & serves as an essential transfer point for yellow & blue line riders. In addition, it's well equipped to be a essential buss access port in the NoVA region. Most riders here are professional people, so people were generally kind and helpful. It will get crowded but this station is very well designed to get people in and out quickly. If you're taking a buss from here, give your self some extra time because the buss station is pretty large. Also the only thing I would improve is how there only two escalators from the platform to the station, there's always people rushing into one narrow spot. Happy travels read more

Pentagon Metro Station been here way before the station been here. STATION: It very nice clean, safe, staff helpful, not a lot of seats and only one elevator. ELEVATOR: two elevators on the outside and one inside. The outside tin to break a lot and the way they have it when they have a have down pore it breaks down. Lucky if one work or both. inside does not breaks that offen. ESCALATOR: There alway one breaks down. METRO HISTORY: For Pentagon it been there when the Pentagon was build. It started when you can drive the bus under and inside the Pentagon and get off walk up stairs to the countersue. Three tunnels each stair wells had a bus stop you what for. The bus was not wheel chair friendly and no elevator for the disable. Metro Subway started the station. First time they blow the rock for the new station it cause the Pentagon shack and all the alarms when off. Pentagon Police got on metro for what they did. The escalator use to go up in the Pentagon and elevator as well. Every thing change good and bad. But it was very helpful for the commuters. It was very good it ran down build back replace the drive way over and over. After replacing the place were the bus pick up there passenger and spending all that money. Everything was pulled out after 9-11 when to Pentagon city. (Read review at Pentagon CIty Metro) build the new metro lot and passer terminal more sitting a lot of glass and no direct escalator in the Pentagon. Now it take forever to wait for a bus just to pull in the lot. But its for the better. 9-11 changer everything we do in and around the Government and in the city. read more

It is a clean metro with easy accessibility and safe....which one could assume it is safe since it is the Pentagon. Fairly clean, and felt safe. The stops could use more indicators, but that can be said for all of the metros we stopped at along the way.

Love this metro stop as it is at the door step of my work, a transfer point and always secure. I come to this every morning and evening and it's just a super convenient location. The metro staff is always friendly and it doesn't get very crowded even in peak times. There is always proper lighting and clean area of debris and clutter. At this stop you'll either find men & women in business suits or in military uniforms, either way, always surrounded by professional people. Honestly i have absolutely nothing negative to say about this stop. read more
