Ive had the privilege of working with Russell when my fender got damaged. it was def embarrassing to drive with a big dent well i must express my gratitude for russells exceptional service. He went above and beyond the insur didn't want to cover it and he tried to explain how the car would be without blending the a pillar which is different on all cars and insur didn't want to cover it he could of not did it or he could of charged me but he didn't and like he says he puts customers first and to make sure they are satisfied. He still did it anyways because he wanted to make sure I get the car looking like it never happened which he did. Would never recommend to anyone. Repair took longer than anyone could imagine. Never had any urgency to do the work. Paint was bubbled b/c they didn't let it cure long enough. This was the most unsettling, sketchy and regrettable, costly experience ever. I was guaranteed max 10 days for repair which began July 1 yet was not only UNFINISHED as of October but I have learned that this shop caused a lot of additional damage which I now need to get fixed elsewhere. I got many quotes b4 choosing this shop & chose them because I was "saving" about 1k & trusted the good reviews. I wish I had just gone elsewhere because choosing this shop cost me thousands in extra costs and stress + I have been told by my dealership and a highly rated shop that the work which was done is horrible (still unfinished too). Also, I was promised my car would never be on the street yet my cars app showed me it was parked on the street late at night so I got a ride to check and it was indeed left on the street in this sketch area along with a bunch of other cars - beware. I was with my car that night for awhile and no one came out (I was told they had security everywhere).. Russell is an honest man. He has his challenges in his shop, as many people these days do. Finding and keeping the quality of workmanship the owner represents has become difficult for almost every business. It has caused a level of mistrust in me in every hire I seek out for anything I need done. When I brought my car to him, we sat down, we talked, and we both agreed that these are very challenging times, but that he had the expertise to do the repair and make it "good as new". I wanted to believe him, but as I've said, I've become skeptical, very skeptical. What I found out over time (and once I saw my car repaired) was that Russell lives up to the standard he represents and can be trusted to do what he says. I came across this shop after reading the reviews. I woke up to seeing rear damage to my car, so immediately went to Toyota to order an OEM rear bumper believing that I could order and install it there. After it arrived, they informed me that I would have to go to a collision shop and have it painted there as the bumpers do not come primed or painted whatsoever. They recommended I-10 Collision Center and told that they "usually get the color right" so I reached out, and after 3 hours I was quoted $300 more than what I ultimately paid here before the gratuity. From the moment I called, Russell made me feel welcome and heard me out, and I was given a quote within the hour. The price was unmatched! The color is Midnight Black Metallic and Russell had it down perfectly upon providing the color code. to keep it short and simple, do not go here. if you want the longer version of it, the owner lacks sophistication, respect and professionalism. he talks too much about himself, his family, and other clients rather than trying to get to the root of the issue being one's vehicle. he made disgusting inappropriate sexual remarks about me and my sister and fetishized our race and our appearance (given we were both 25+ years younger than him?). i did the mistake of leaving my vehicle here after he convinced me that my car was in good hands but almost a month in, there had been nothing done to my car and it was just collecting dust. once my insurance informed me of the situation with the owner and how difficult he was being, i realized i had made a bad decision leaving it there so i called him. i called him and he immediately starts talking shit about the insurance adjuster and i cut it short and told him i need my car back to take it to another shop. through this phone call, he harassed me and my mother and screamed lewd vicious comments towards us to the point where i felt unsafe going to retrieve my vehicle. the cops were contacted but he was no longer at the shop by the time we got there. my car was disgustingly caked in dirt and once i got in the car it looks like the windows were left open the whole time too since there was an uncomfortable amount of dirt in the car. so many things went wrong here, so many things i have left unsaid but i have video proof of every single incident with owner of this establishment. please do not go here, save yourself the time and spit. the best thing i did was go to Caliber Collision in Palm Desert where they gave me my car back clean, spotless, and brand new where professionals get shit done and not have to deal with fragile masculinity. read more

I rarely write reviews but I recommend Peoples Choice Auto Expert body shop in Indio CA and it's owner Russell Velletti. I was in an accident in my pickup truck near Bombay Beach CA. There was severe damage to the rear cab pillar of the truck. I like the truck and plan to keep it so I wanted it repaired correctly and returned to its pre-accident condition. I knew the repair would be difficult because the structural integrity of the cab had been compromised. I live in Washington State and had no knowledge of good body shops in the area. I called over 10 body shops who had positive reviews and talked with each of them to assess whether or not I thought they had the knowledge and skill to do a good job with the repair. Russell was the only one who not only took the time to talk with me but could speak knowledgeably about the repair. Russell did an excellent job with the repair. I can't even tell the truck was damaged. He was also effective in dealing with my insurance company, The Hartford, who were extremely difficult during the claim processing. So I recommend Russell. This was hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had with an auto body shop. A tree branch got wedged in my frame and decimated my front bumper, undercarriage, and wheel well. The plastic got bent, making our car a hazard to drive. I had just moved into town and didn't have a go-to mechanic, so I requested a quote from a few places, and Russ was the first to reply (within a few hours). He not only offered me a fair price and agreed to have the work completed within two days, he also picked up the car from our house and dropped it back off to us. Most affordable in town and hands down, Russell is the best mechanic and body work guy I've ever come across. He fixed my Mercedes that had rear end damage and made it look brand new and fully functional after an accident and after that I also took two of my other vehicles to him for various work like fixing a broken window function to replacing the entire front drive shafts to my Mercedes as well.
