For on 12/19 /2015 I received from owner, Karen Franzen copies and a handwritten note with the names and dollar amount of coverage from two policies belonging to my dad. Then on 01/05 /2016 we notified Dopkins Funeral Home in Dinuba that we would be needing my dad's body to be picked up, once again coverage was verified. About 5 or 6 hours later we were ready for them to come. So again we called, only to be told that one of the policies had expired. Obviously staff members failed in doing their job. It is without question that their inaccuracy of providing such critical information should not be mistaken. For in doing so, my Dad's funeral services were not as we had hoped and planned. It's not like we can have another funeral again to give him what he truly deserved. Instead of comfort in helping us to start healing we felt more pain to say the least. Wasn't a good experience. The week before my mom died I called them and asked what I needed to do--…read moreor could expect. I also asked about a pre-paid funeral policy she believed she had purchased. They said they would check for it-- and call me back the next day with information. Never heard back. A week later Hadley's picked my mom up from assisted living-- I kind of expected a phone call at that time. The next day I called-- and yep, they had her. They scheduled an appointment to meet two days later, again saying they would check on her policy. . When we arrived-- it was obvious she hadn't checked on policy-- left room several times to check here and there and call people. The rest of the meeting not much was presented-- I had to ask about clothes-- graveside- obituary. They took her handwritten obit-- I offered to type up and bring back-- but they said they would handle it. I wrote a check-- and we were gone. No graveside, but they said it would be several hundred more if we wanted to stand near grave when she was put in the ground. Without the extra money we had to stay at road. Well-- obit was not completed-- called several days later and they said they were still working on it. We were anxious to get in paper-- so I cancelled them and typed it up and submitted myself to newspaper. Took me less than 30 minutes. At cemetery-- cemetery staff let us get right up to the casket, and even gave us a few minutes. No need for an extra fee. Later we checked with Smiths in Exeter if she had pre-paid there -- and was just mistaken. They were wonderful-- gave us numbers to call with state insurance commission to check on a policy. Went out of their way with suggestions. And we were able to find it as just a regular life insurance policy-- although she was sure it was held by Hadley's. It was a simple for Hadley's. We had church service with no casket-- no viewing. But a bit frustrating how little they did -- didn't go an inch out of their way for anything. We won't be using them again.

She was patient and comforting with my mother and assisted me with navigating through the process of laying my uncle to rest. On the evening of the rosary and day of the burial, Nate from Salser & Dillard, was great. He and the other team members were helpful and attentive. Everyone from the ladies at the front desk to the ushers at the rosary were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Salser & Dillard to anyone in need of a funeral home. When we had the viewing Roxy and the other set all the dilevered flower and posters up just beautifully. I had a very good experience there at the new place on Whitley with Cindy. There is a man there named Kevin. If you are concerned about Cindy, ask for Kevin. He is a great person to handle your planning for funerals and stuff like that. I see other people wrote good things about Cindy. Also the new place is right downtown and is a homey place to visit. I had talked with Kevin at the funeral home, and he is very compassionate.

Their process is slow and they do not seem to care about communication. They do not offer any assistance beyond another excuse why my husband is still at the coroner's office almost 3 weeks after his passing always placing the delay on the fault of the coroners office or doctors office. Now they state that the cremation, preparation of ashes and death certificate MAY be done next week! Maybe!!!! My life is on hold waiting for them to do the job they have been paid to do.

I had to handle this task from 200 miles away and I am grateful to have chosen this group. Elizabeth took my early morning call and was very compassionate. She guided me through the steps to get my sister cared for with professional grace. From the first call to the home delivery of her ashes, all the staff were efficient and kind. I have worked for an excellent hospice for 20 years now. I am well aware of the standards of cremation and burial agencies. My expectations were exceeded with the staff at the Tulare location.
