This really is the best storage place. The cleanliness, the bright lights and for me no nasty smell! They run a top tier facility!

The facility is clean and bright, climate controlled, and the elevators were never out of order and there were always carts available.

They really only want customers who are going to fill the unit, leave, pay the rent every month but never need access to the stuff they store. The other day I had to pull half of my things out in order to access the item I was looking for and it took a good couple of hours and one of the office dudes comes wheeling along in that goofy golf cart to scold me about having my stuff in the hallway. What am I supposed to do with it? My rent is paid and I'm there working away and I am hassled why? The top building is always dirty, the lowest building attached to the office smells like an ashtray, I am talking the whole building b/c the office dudes sit in the first drive up unit and smoke and it's pretty likely anyone storing anything in that building is going to discover the stuff they stored smells like they are smokers. The guy with a unit right across from mine told me (as he was moving out) he found a bunch of rodent droppings all over his stuff inside his unit. My advice is take your business somewhere else this place will make you feel like you matter very little and you can get treated like that anywhere. I'm moving out as soon as I find a new storage place. Here is an update: since posting my review here, Sherlock Storage sent me an eviction e-mail stating that I violated the lease agreement and they cancelled my gate access and I can only get into my unit escorted by someone from the office during their office hours. This is not right!

These guys will increase your rent on a dime. They increase the rent frequently. If my memory…read moreserves me, we started off paying in the double digits (maybe $90) and we are now paying $235! Everyone is hurting in today's economy, but these guys have no qualms about raising your rent time after time after time. We have paid our rent diligently for several years (at least five, but I'm unsure of the exact number). We pay on time every time and we've never been late. That doesn't matter to them. I don't know the exact measurements of our unit, but it's not a big one. I think it's 7x10. The advertised price for a 7.5 x 10 unit is $82 right now. It feels like a grift to me! The benefits of this place (security and cleanliness) are not worth the price. If you are going to get a storage unit, don't get one here unless you want to be faced with unending rent increases.

I rented a 5'x10' unit here because the advertised rate of about $70/month seemed like one of the…read morefew semi-reasonable numbers left in the world. In hindsight, that price feels less like an actual offer and more like a "welcome brochure" written by someone who knows you won't be paying it for long. The facility itself is fine. Four walls, a door, does what it says on the tin. No complaints there. The pricing, however, is where things get creative. After about 8 months, my rent quietly leveled up to $115/month for the exact same unit. No upgrades, no changes, no additional services--just a new number that appears on your bill like it was always meant to be there. Meanwhile, new customers are still being brought in at around $70-75/month. So the system is clearly working: step one, get you in with a normal-ish price; step two, remind you that stability is a myth. When I asked about it, I was given the classic "economic factors" explanation, which has become the modern equivalent of shrugging while your wallet disappears. It's hard not to notice the pattern here. It feels less like pricing and more like a slow game of "how much inconvenience will you tolerate before moving all your stuff just becomes your second job." And honestly, it fits right in with the general theme of modern life, where everything vaguely necessary seems designed with a quiet assumption that you will eventually run out of energy to keep arguing about it. So yes--technically it's a storage unit. But it also doubles as a gentle reminder that the starting price is more of a mood than a promise. If you're considering renting here, just assume the advertised rate is the opening chapter, not the story you're actually signing up for.

Reading other reviews, it seems break-ins are a recurring issue, which makes it even more frustrating that there don't appear to be adequate security measures in place, such as alarm systems or security cameras. I wish I had known about these concerns before renting a unit. I no longer feel confident that my belongings are safe, and it's difficult to justify continuing to pay for storage when the facility cannot provide a secure environment. I've also experienced multiple occasions where my access PIN didn't work, and there were no employees available to help. On one visit, another customer had already been waiting for over an hour for assistance. The lack of security, customer support, and on-site staff has been extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend this facility based on my experience.

Their reply was that "storage lockers are broken into all the time. The Seattle police do nothing about it." I asked for changes to their security and assurances from SS that my remaining stuff would be secure. They did nothing. Again in April 2026 the thieves came (SS wouldn't admit how many lockers were hit this time!). I removed my stuff and cancelled my account. Unprofessional management and innacurate policies only made the storage experience worse. But one thing they did very well was continue to extract (ever increasing rent & bogus service charge) money from my account.

Debby, Bruce and the rest of the team are very easy to communicate with and are keen to help meet all your needs. I initially rented a single 5x10 storage and wanted to upgrade to a 10x10 (which wasn't available at the time), so instead they offered me a second 5x10 at a discounted rate. Their units are clean, well lit and have easy access. The facility felt safe and I didn't run into any issues at all. Hours of operation and pricing is fair and affordable. The only downside (if you will call it that) is that you are not allowed to drop off a moving "pod" in the parking lot or in front of the storage unit to unload directly into the storage unit. This is primarily due to the pods often being left there for a day or more before being picked up again. It was an inconvenience as I had to rent a truck to move the contents of the pod into the unit, but I understand their reasoning behind disallowing it. Also, I felt prudent to comment on another review left by someone else complaining about being charged for another month after vacating their unit. The forms we signed with this business clearly state how to move-out of your unit and cancel the service. I had no issues following these instructions and was not charged for a second month.

Our request was accommodated quickly and we were shown our options within the large property. When we took our boat out of the water last weekend, my wife suggested I call them about boat storage - again, our request was handled promptly. We were able to add our boat to our monthly recurring auto pay. What really distinguishes this organization from others that simply provide storage, is the family feel. Debbie always has a smile, but when I used the restroom to change for a cross country practice I was coaching the other day, I took a bunch of cash out of my pocket and left it on the bathroom counter. Debbie found it and tracked me down. She knew I had left it there before even I did. I can't say enough good things about the high level of customer service, the family feel and the clean, well-maintained facility.
