Coming from Urban Storage, also new, I love how this has the extra touch of individual unit alarms and high surveillance. The office is neat, clean and pleasant: no strange odors or dirty floors. The actual storage facilities are well-maintained and the loading dock is accessible to any location your unit is. If you need a truck rental in Kirkland, this is the place to go. Unlike the *other* U-Haul option nearby, the Kirkland Way Storage office offers easy parking, friendly and attentive staff, and clean vehicles. I haven't used their self-storage, but given the way they maintain the office, I'd expect the units and service to be first rate. read more

It's storage, right! But sooooo much more. They could've rattled off a bunch of square footage and rates but instead, asked what i needed to store to give me options. From the moment I called, I was meet with EXCELLENT customer service. I looked at several units on different levels to see if all my things would fit. Not once did I feel like I was imposing. I reserved a couple units to think about and the following day they followed up, which I appreciated because Its a busy time (moving and all). Everyone was very accommodating and so helpful. We showed up at Kirkland Way storage because I had reserved a truck via uhaul's website and it misleadingly made it seem like I had a truck reserved and ready for pickup at 11am. I showed up the day of only to discover that there isn't a truck available at this location for the rest of the day. As frustrating as this was, I was helped by one of the nicest young gentleman, James, who was extremely empathetic, patient, and helpful. To ensure our best chance of getting a truck, James gave us all the possible numbers to call and explained all of our possible alternatives before letting us go. While waiting in line for a representative at uhaul location #2, I unexpectedly received a phone call from James. He said that one of their reservation was cancelled and he wanted to make sure I could get a truck today so if I wanted to, he could save the truck for me. So we went back and James gave us the truck and did whatever he could to make the price as comparable to our original reservation. To sum up: 1) Kirkland Way storage has amazing customer service (shout out to James) 2) don't reserve trucks via uhaul's website, call this location directly 3) I would use this place for storage. There are lots of security cameras for surveillance! read more

While this storage facility appears on the surface to be of a higher standard than most storage facilities, this particular location leaves much to be desired. -The outside storage is a joke! Other than a tin roof over your head, the benefits of these units are few. These highly priced units get the full force of wind, pushing pollen and freeway pollution into the units, the condensation from the roof is so bad there is constant water randomly dripping year round, and there is steady drainage into the units from the parking lot. -The divided units inside share a common atmosphere. This is great for profits, but bad for tenants. Every piss reeking carpet and cigarette stinking sofa gets the opportunity to contaminate all other units in the immediate proximity. -The management is abusive and inappropriate. Sexually based jokes, sneaking through the hall ways and surprising tenants(of the female persuasion) and constant calls and emails are just some of the experiences that my employees and myself had while accessing our company storage units. -Oh yeah, and the key pad and alarm system are constantly malfunctioning, deafening alarms and automatic calls to the police randomly. Don't be fooled, high prices do not make for a quality storage unit in this instance. read more

Ive used these guys 3 times over the past 4 years when work took me elsewhere. They are 5-star service all the way. From showing the units to the ease and quickness of paperwork to auto payments, to being there when you need them by email. They always got back to me within a few hours when I sent an email. As with most of us, I write a Yelp review when I have exceptional service or exceptionally bad service. I'm happy to say that I received amazing customer service from James at Kirkland Way Storage. James took the time to listen to my needs and show me several units to choose from. He also gave me a unit near the door as I requested. Not only that, he let me know there was a dolly or any type of packing supplies I could have needed. He even let my pup come in and offered to get me water or coffee. This place is the Nordstrom of storage! And they had a bowl for water for my dog! :) I mentioned that I needed to rent a U-Haul, sure enough, James let me know that I could do it from right there! He set me up and told me exactly what to do as I was a little nervous never having rented one (or driving) before. He went way above and beyond for me. I had to leave my car and he promised to keep an eye on it and let me know that they have cameras in just about every spot of the facility and parking lot. I felt like he really cared about my situation and did his best to ensure I had the best possible outcome. I appreciate it so much because he really alleviated so much stress and I just felt like every problem I had - James had a solution - and a quick and easy one at that. He really made a difference in my day. I was extremely pressed for time and his quick solutions and thorough help made me really feel like Kirkland Way Storage cares about their customers by having someone like him working there.
