Seven years ago, they made my dentures. They were absolutely awesome. They fit PERFECTLY from day one. They were so perfect, they fit 2 years longer than expected. Fast forward seven years. They made my dentures again. I'm sorry I stayed with them. They don't fit. The 'gums' are freaking tremendous. The uppers aren't aligned correctly. A tooth is sticking into my mouth. They give me sores. If I attempt to eat with them, my inner cheek gets chewed up. The "gums" are WAY to thick. You know that feeling your teeth have when you eat something sticky and can't brush your teeth and have something coating them? Yea. That. No matter what. Do NOT use these people. I think they let an 8 year old make my teeth. And the assistant? I can't say in here exactly what I think of her, because I want to keep this family friendly. Not nice things. Use your imagination. She's rude, attempts to be condescending, but fails epically, and just come off as ignorant. I'm including a pic of the uppers. All that crap above the teeth cuts into my mouth. And they've ground some of it OFF already. Not a happy customer. read more

I am very ill so I had to call to cancel a cleaning appoinment on the day of the appointment. Explained this to the representative and told her I do not like canceling at the last minute but I was ill. She was very rude and told me she was going to put a 25.00 charge. She did not acknowledge my position. In the time of covid and the flu should I have just come in anyway and spread my infection around to save 25.00? How insensitive. If this is an indication of how this practice works I do not think I will be making another appointment. read more

I went to this dentist for years however, I have made the decision not to go back. I have scheduled multiple cleanings for 8am or 8:30am morning cleanings, and there has been at least three instances that I recall that the dentist does not show up. The hygienist typically makes up an excuse that they are running late but I have waited 20+ plus minutes before. By the 3rd time I realized it's a pattern, I wish they wouldn't schedule times when they know the dentist will not be in. Otherwise it they had decent availability, hygienists were good, and pricing is a bit better than other places if you don't have insurance or low coverage. Front desk can be rude on occasion as well. read more

Horrible dentist. I should have known when another customer was complaing about their work and the denitst brushed her off like get over it. I went there for a 2nd opinon on my teeth and the dentist told me that people in Africa have no teeth and dont cry about it so I can cry about it or deal with it, instead of offering help. Refused to even give me pricing. Waste of my time. Doctors are supposed to provide help, he is just an a**hole. read more

Very good experience. Went today expecting a tooth extraction & an eventual and very costly tooth implant (based on a previous dentist's treatment plan) and was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Soodetheh was able to save the tooth, did a root canal, and a temporary crown. Much better outcome than I expected. The assistant was great and so was the front office staff. I saw the negative reviews but my experience was nothing like that. read more

I was refereed to this dentist because they are open on Saturdays and a molar of mine was beginning to give me issues. I went in for my appointment and was greeted by the receptionist she was nice and helpful. Filled out some forms and provided my insurance. I was than x-rayed and the dentist came in and saw me within minutes. I wasn't able to get my root canal and crown right than and there because my insurance wasn't reflecting yet. But I was told what I needed and the procedure and an estimate of what the price would be with insurance. For the first time I walked out the dentist and thought to myself "The pricing is very reasonable... if I knew it was this price I wouldn't of put this off for so long". I will be back in this weekend for a root canal and crown. I will update my review after the work is complete. read more

I had my teeth cleaned, but when the dentist went to do the dental examine, he did not have a mask and was having a conversation with the dental assistant. As he was talking I could feel spit going onto my face, so I felt as though some was also going in my mouth. The first thing I thought of to say was "be quiet because he was spitting on my face." He got upset and told me to leave. He told the assistant not to charge me. Very unprofessional!!! read more

I'd give this place more stars, but let's be honest - it's the dentist office... no one likes it! lol I've never run into the issues that other reviewers have noted and I've come here for 3+ years. That being said, I generally only come in for cleanings so I haven't dealt with emergency issues. I did come in with a tooth ache a few months ago fearing that I needed a root canal. The doctor took x-rays and told me that it may eventually need that done, but it wasn't necessary right now. Never have I felt pressured or coerced into any treatments, including braces (because I definitely need them). I've received information and pricing and was told if I decide to go that route to call and set an appointment. My dentist-phobic mother and aunt have both had work done here as well with good outcomes - again...it's the dentist! lol read more

This Dentist wanted 3 different appointments to do a cleaning...first an appointment for x-rays, then an appointment for a consultation about the cleaning (what?!) and then the actual cleaninig. Got it down to 2 appointments after complaining to the staff, and scheduled an appointment for a consulation/cleaning for a month out. When the appointment date came, I was told to take a seat and I waited for 40 minutes without them acknowledging me, they also kept taking in people walking in without appointments and having them take a seat to be seen. Highly unprofessional business that made me feel uneasy the entire time I was there. Very dissapointing, I'd stay far away from this place if I were you. read more

I went because I cracked my tooth while eating and they insisted I needed a root cannel so I got one and they put a crown on to... 2 years later the same tooth started hurting so I had it checked out by my moms dentist long story short they didn't even do my root cannel right they ''forgot'' to fill in 2 of my nerves so I had a massive infection in my mouth... anyways now I need another root cannel so my mom paid for a unfinished root cannel and they charged her care credit over 3 thousand $$$ that she is still is paying off !!!! Now I have to spend 14 hundred dollars on another root canal because they didn't do their job right. Bunmmmmmmerrrrr ;( yall don't even deserve a star lol read more

I have been seeing dentist regularly my entire life. I hadn't had a cavity in 15+ years and after moving to Arizona a couple years ago had to find a dentist here, I went to Peoria Dental Center because it was very close to my house. I had no Cavities first few years going to Peoria Dental Center, and then all of a sudden after the most painful cleaning I've ever had in my entire life apparently I have 7 cavities. I couldn't believe it. (I shouldn't have believed them.) They said I needed to get them taken care of right away even though I wasn't feeling any pain or sensitivity. Made an appointment to get them all done. I show up and the Dentist didn't have enough time to do all of them (Thank God) So he only did 4 of them. The charge was a little on the high side after the "insurance discount plan". Then the problems began. I was told nothing or given any kind of instructions on what to do or if I even had to do anything to take care of the fillings. After a few weeks of extreme pain and discomfort and not being able to eat at all on that side of my mouth I gave in and made an appointment to see what was going on. I was told it can sometimes take up to a month to completely heal but it just didn't seem right but I waited a couple more weeks and no change so I finally was able to get in and see the dentist. I had only pain on 1 of the teeth that was filled and the dentist said we can make some adjustments and it should be better. After the first adjustment instead of just 1 of my teeth hurting badly, now it was all of them. I came back for another adjustment, no change, and another, no change. I was there 4 different times and finally the last time he said they could try using "gold" instead of the regular filling material as that can sometimes be "softer" and relieve pressure/pain. at the tune of like $1200 EACH and preceded to tell me his wife has had the same pain for 20 years, which I can't believe. At this point I'm really starting to get upset and as I'm leaving they ask do I want to get the other side fillings done (3 more) and I'm just too mad at this point so I just leave. Months went by (almost 5 or 6 months total at this point and finally I decide I have to get a second opinion on what to do about this ridiculous pain I've been in and not been able to eat anything hard on one side of my mouth. I get a recommendation from my wife to go to her new dentist. I go and have all the initial x-rays and cleaning done. We find out that I actually don't have any cavities at all....... Those "3" other cavities that supposedly had been so bad that they should of been fixed months and months ago were actually not even there. At this point I am so beyond mad I've been living with this pain that was caused because some dentist just wanted some extra money in his pocket and tried to fix cavities that were not even potentially there. (I highly doubt I had any to begin with). After my x-rays I was getting my teeth cleaned and all of a sudden the hygienist stopped and gasped saying "Oh my God". as I'm sitting there with my mouth open thinking oh crap what happened. She then started looking around and saying I can't believe what your last dentist did to you. one of the filings that the previous dentist had put in my mouth was so small that it never fully stuck to the tooth and it was LOOSE and sitting sideways leaving a big gaping hole into my tooth. She was able to get the filing out with some floss and a couple minutes of her time. INSTANTLY I was pain free. After the cleaning the Dentist came over and was in shock at why the previous dentist did what he did and after looking at the x-rays determined that the other filings he had put in were so small that there probably wasn't any cavities there either. I made an appointment with them to get the problem fixed and the entire week waiting for my appointment I could eat anything, chew anything, no more pain. After my appointment I was worried the pain would come back but its been almost a month and no pain and everything is good. I am so thankful to have found a legit dentist. Be very wary of Peoria Dental Center!!! I would never ever recommend them. Not only have they lost me as customers but they have lost my wife, kids, my parents and my wife's parents. After reading some of the other yelp reviews I realized the thing about needed a bunch of appointments is true, they do that so they can bill insurance and get co-pays out of customers. - Pathetic. If I ran my business like these guys I would of been out of business already. I will be searching and contacting some lawyers to see about a mal-practice claim. read more

Abrahim Setoodeh, dds is a rude, insensitive, uncompassionate man! I HIGHLY recommend you do NOT seek his services!!! My son had four impacted wisdom teeth being extracted and Dr. Setoodeh did not want to give my son nitrous oxide to relax him. (He said he was a strong boy and could handle it) He did not give my son any sedatives .. only gave my son a series of shots to numb the area. He had to continue giving more shots throughout the process due to the pain inflicted throughout the process. If I had not been present with my son throughout the procedure he would have been neglected! It was a very painful procedure and it should have been advised to take pain medication prior to the surgery because we had a difficult time getting the pain managed. Horrible experience. Dr. Setoodeh has terrible bedside manner. He deserves 0 stars!!! read more

I have been going to PDC for many years because of its location and friendly staff, but have not been happy since the departure of Maureen, the Dental Hygentist. My recent visit will be my LAST! Everytime I have gone in, the Dental Hygentist, Chris, has a very condescending attitude. I went in for a cleaning and didnt even get my teeth polished. When I asked if I had to make another a appt. to finish the cleaning, I was handed the polish and told to do it myself at home. During the cleaning, I asked her a question regarding a new product in the market, and she rolled her eyes at me, as if I was interupting her work...very rude. The office manager has also been very rude, but on this visit hid in the office. The last time I saw Dr. Masters, he started a procedure but couldnt finish it, and sent me to a specialist to complete the work. This cost me more in the long run. He shouldn't have even started the work if he couldnt finish it. Very poor customer service! read more

I was a patient here a while ago. After an exam and X-rays were done I told the dentist that I was having some sensitivity on one of my molars. My tooth had an existing filling and I knew that it had a small chip. After looking at the X-ray (he didn't even look inside my mouth to do the exam) he told me I needed a crown on that tooth. I ended up getting a second and third opinion elsewhere and sure enough all I needed was a filling. It's been over a year and my tooth has been fine. I will never return to this place. Terrible patient service from the Dr. and even worse from the rude front office manager. read more

Peoria Dental is a "production" office. Their goal is to get as many people in & out as possible each day. I only saw the owning dentist one time to check my mouth for cancer. The remaining times, I have seen Dr Masters approximately 10 times & Maureen 8. Maureen gets 4 stars. Super nice & personable, but, low tech cleaning techniques. Dr. masters is always in hurry & thinks he can read my mind. I asked him to plan a phased reconstruction of my mouth starting w/ my front teeth. I started to tell him about a model of a new crowns I had done. He didn't let me finish & said that he knew exactly what I wanted. Two weeks later, I returned & there was no model, but, instead 6 crowns he had made that looked exactly like my current worn down set of teeth & wanted $3,200+. Dim me because I had already put down $1,600+. He always says that they guarantee their work, but, they DO NOT! Also, he charged me out-of-pocket $650/crown, yet, all I was supposed to pay with my insurance was $450/crown, so, he cheated me on the price. He sent me to his lab, but, learned that he did not do the correct molds for a complete mouth reconstruction that would correct my bite. I wrote to Dr. Masters requesting to meet with him & not rush out on me, so we could create a dental plan. If he wasn't interested in doing a full aesthetic set of crowns/be were, I requested a refund since he "guaranteed" his work. 2 years have gone by & never heard a word. State Board complaint is next. read more
