It would be Greatly improved by them being honest. Pinocchio has nothing on them. Unfortunately I have been dealing with Hyundai Annapolis and Hyundai California for months. They must be trained to tell the customer what they want to hear. Have great CAUTION dealing with them make sure to get everything in writing. Jo is amazing!! I can always trust her to be looking out for my/ others' best interests. I never get the feeling that she's upselling unnecessary repairs and services. They usually have everything they need in stock, but are happy to source parts they don't from the local dealerships, auto parts stores to get you back on the road quickly. The pricing is always fair and I like that I can track my repairs in the app. now! This location isn't fancy, but has a new waiting room in the back with coffee, workstations, free wi-fi, bathrooms, etc. read more

I came in for a saftey inspection. When I called the told me the inspection was 75 dollars. They told me it would be 105 with tint. My vehicle doesn't have tint. They told me the factory tint would bring the price up to 105 to get over. After doing the inspection they told me I had a turn signal out, needed brakes and rotors, and a wheel stem. I didn't need a wheel stem, turn signal or rotors. I don't recommend this location, their only goal is to steal money from the customers. read more

When I first arrived at this location there was one person sitting behind the counter on a Sunday. She didn't notice me standing there because she was too busy looking at her phone. When she finally noticed me after I moved a little closer by the way I'm a big gentleman so I don't see how you couldn't see me in the first place. Finally she said may I help you. I said yes I bought a set a tires here not even a year ago. And the back driver side KUMHO tire has a nail in it. of course I bought the roadside hazard package when I purchased the set of tires. I found my documentation in my glove compartment before I entered the store. I even went so far as to find the nail before I entered the store. She walked over to a store tire and said if the nail is not within this tread pattern right here we cannot repair it. We don't repair SIDEWALL NAILS. Hey listen and I get that Pep Boys is a business and they're in it to sell tires. My question to her was can you at least come out and look at it she said no you'll have to bring it in for the mechanic to look at it. I thought to myself why paid $31 for the mechanic to tell me he can't fix it prorate the tire and give me a new tire? This is a Sunday I'm not in the market to spend X amount of dollars just for a small nail in the wrong place on this tire. She said OK then we can't help you and I said thank you. I'll just take the tire to another reliable place which I'll mention on yelp pay $20 have them patch it and be on my way thanks for nothing PEPBOYS. You just lost another customer for life. And please work on your customer service these people currently behind the counters there are terrible!!!! Oh hey Pep Boys by the way it wasn't the side wall but if you would've came out and looked at the tire instead of trying to get me to bring it in the shop for money you may have actually helped me that day. I'm only giving this 2 stars because Chris the service manager is very nice and did extra research on my issue. Came in because my "tpms" light came on, not the tire light with the "!". I was told 3 sensors were bad and that would fix the problem. Made an appt for 1pm two days later. I get there a little before one and was told it'll take a hour for the sensors and to replace my two back tires, I get my car back at 3pm...Take my car home everything seems good, driving to work the next day my tpms light comes back on I call them come down after work they reset the system and it goes away then comes back on the following morning...I spent a lot of money to fix this issue and it wasn't fixed and it turns out that it's a fault in the computer system not my actual sensors. I learned my lesson & will go to my dealer from now on. 4/15/19-The issue was fixed by my dealership but Chris didn't hesitate to refund me for the parts and labor that dealt with the issue so I appreciate that. read more

Jo Ann Taylor really worked with me for the work that I needed. The break work was less then the dealer by about 700 dollars.

service was not done as asked. was told they could not do rack and pinion due to bolt being "rusted." when I retrieved the vehicle I took both bolts of with a small hand wrench no heat. before doing flush on liquids I asked the service tech to check into throttle issue before starting any services they did not. then when I went to pick up my truck, tech had no idea about my truck could give me no answers or insight on anything serviced. if you would like a McDonalds employee to work on your vehicle I highly recommend this store, if you want an actual mechanic that knows vehicles and how to work on them go somewhere else. read more

However, upon arrival, our reservation was not confirmed in the system. But have no fear, Jo Ann was there to rectify the issue. Jo Ann also brought a few other maintenance issues to our attention as well which we were able to take care of that day. These guys are idiots! My boyfriend bought 4 new tires and 4 rims from them. They put a warped tire on his car and a bent rim. Was suppose to order him a new rim that was suppose to be on today. "Oh we forgot to order it." It will be in next week cause they supposedly can't over night it. Bullshit! You put my boyfriend and his grandkids lives in danger putting this crap on his car. Work is very slow. You'll wait 5 hours for a 30 minute job with an appointment. Customer service is bad. Walter installed a double gasket and destroyed a persons car there so his nickname is Double Gasket now which was discouraging. I came here for a simple inspection and waited 5 hours took it elsewhere for the repairs brought it back then took them 9 hours to check my tire tread and new brake shoes. I wouldn't go to this place. I recommend McNeil's Towing and Garage the owner Pat is honest and they do prompt and thorough work. Pepboys felt like going to McDonalds. People like Walter belong working at Popeyes fried chicken and biscuits not in a shop and should never be allowed to use a tool on a car ever again. Update - a day after having them adjust my brake shoes they tightened them way too much so when the emergency brake was applied both sets of shoes and springs all came apart. Had to take the car Tommy local Firestone on Rossville Blvd and those guys fixed the car right. Had to redo everything PepBoys said they fixed. If I wasn't such a busy man I would look into suing PepBoys when both sets of brake shoes fell out of place while I was driving giving off a loud scrapping sound all the way to Firestone. Firestone fixed me up and got a deal on a 0% apr first 6 months on their card. DO NOT EVER GOVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS PEP BOYS LOCATION. They are unethical and dishonest about their work. read more

Appointments don't matter to these people. I had a 9 am appointment for my state inspection (that I have 30 total days to complete). They call me at noon and tell me they are bringing it back. I get to the shop at 3:30 to pick up my trailblazer (they told me it would be done by latest 3 pm) and they had not even taken it back to see it. The guy at the desk said they moved some Uber inspections in front of me...will not be going back. read more

I came in on a Tuesday night to get my headlights replaced. They were full for the rest of the night, but they'd make me an appointment for the next day at 4pm. No problem. I left and came back at the appointed time. At first all seemed okay. The employee who was supposed to check me in said he had to move a car and he'd be right back. So I waited. And waited. Fifteen minutes into my wait, another customer came up, very upset, saying that he had been waiting an hour and a half and he just wanted his keys back. The other employee at the counter barely seemed to care, and the angry customer who just wanted to leave waited another five minutes for his keys. (I look forward to reading his Yelp review!) When the original employee I had an appointment with finally returned (I had to send the other employee off to find him, otherwise I'm not sure if he ever would've come back). He looked at my car but didn't seem totally all there - saying things like "What's this backing over here?" and "Looks like this goes into here...how would you get that off?" I have a Civic, it's not like it's a rare complicated car. At this point my mind was made up. I told him I wasn't going to have my headlights changed there or buy my headlights from them either. He didn't seem too bothered. Good riddance. I made an appointment at another auto shop (shoutout to A1 Auto Three Brothers) and left. By the way, the employee told me part of the problem is that although I made an appointment in store, the online system doesn't sync with the in store calendar, so the shop is frequently double-booked. I have no idea how in the year 2016 Pep Boys is still dealing with this problem. Although, judging by some of the other reviews here, it seems like they disregard appointments altogether when it suits them, so maybe that wouldn't fully solve the problem. This place is racist with poor customer service. I made an appointment yesterday to get an alignment. I came in today 30 minutes prior to my appointment. The clerk stated that the guy that worked yesterday must of not put in the appointment in the system and they can not accommodate me. I pleaded with him that I am traveling long distance tomorrow and desperately needed my car aligned. I depended on this appointment and did not have any back up plan. He ignored me the whole time and kept service other customers and engaged in long conversations with 3 separated customers. read more

Don't waste your time here, there are plenty of better shops in the area. I had an appointment at 12pm and was told it would take 2 hours to replace my 4 tires that I had pre-ordered. I called at 2pm to check on my car and was told it "somehow got missed" and they would call me back to let me know what happened. I call at 3pm, same story. I go into the store at 4pm to find out they didn't have the tires they needed and hadn't even started my car. It had been 4 hours at this point! read more

I had a slow leak in my tire, figured I ran over a nail or something. A very easy and quick fix. I made an appointment for 4 pm, and was there and had turned my car in by 3:50. At 4:45, I became concerned that no one had come out to give me my car back yet. I went up and asked how it was going, and was told that they hadn't even started yet! I was "next." I mentioned that I'd made an appointment but the guy told me that their so-called appointments only meant you'd be the next one worked on when they finished what they were doing already. Maybe he'd get around to my car at 5 or so. So I left. This was my first and will be my last experience with Pep Boys. 2 stars because they weren't jerks about it. Went somewhere else today, no appointment at all, and was in and out in 15 minutes. read more

I have gotten tires from this particular pep boys a few times throughout the years and have never had a problem. Well today when I went to get tires I got a call about an hour later stating there was a few things that they recommended to be fixed. They stated that I need new breaks, rotors and than my shocks were leaking. I just feel that this is extremely odd that they feel that I needed these services when I just had this car inspected a week earlier and everything passed. If the things that they suggested needed to be fixed actually needed to be fixed my car would have failed inspection, at the same time if these things actually needed attention why wouldn't the shop that I had taken it to suggest it to me? In the end every shop is out to make money but that shop didn't try and just up sell let alone try and sell me something that wasn't needed. It just blows my mind that these people tried to get over on me and I'm sure they have done this to other people. I would recommend being cautious when getting work done here when they suggest things that you did not come in for. read more

Hats off to the Chris & Co. in the Service department. In from out of town and took the car in with was thought to be a starter problem. Chris ordered the new starter and got me in the next day. It was determined that it was not the starter but just the battery I replaced the previous day. So no new starter and just about 20 bucks for the evaluation. That's honesty. I made an appointment for 11:30am on a Sunday to have my daytime running lamps replaced. I went through the trouble of driving there, waiting in line, and dealing with a rude woman who was the customer service representative. I was told that even though I had an appointment, I would not have my Jeep seen for an hour. It would not even be pulled into the garage for an hour. When I made the appointment, I told them that I would be waiting. I do not see how it is fair to treat a customer who has made an appointment for something that can be done quickly and in much less time than the time it was for the wait to be treated this way. The customer service lady was rude and I will not be going back there or to any Pep Boys again. I hope they pull my name up and see my history and how much money they will lose over this incident. Why make an appointment if it is not honored? That's bad business...and they lost me as a customer for life because of the attitude of that woman who was customer service. What a waste... read more
