Unprofessional manager. As I walked into the shop and told him about a scheduled vehicle inspection, the manager said he would help me later. Then, he immediately helped another customer. Then, the manager asked the reason for my arrival-after a 10-minute wait. I told the manager why I was there, explaining I required a "ride-share inspection". The manager acted confused, saying he would perform a "courtesy inspection". I emphasized that this was a "ride-share inspection" scheduled through an app (CarAdvise). The manager became defensive, interrupting my sentences. He refused to take responsibility for the appointment, suggesting I "call CarAdvise". He proceeded to sit down, go on his phone, and ignore my presence for at least 20 minutes. (I am writing this review as I am in the shop.) I would not recommend this location because of the disrespect and lack of professionalism from its manager. read more

Horrible experience at this location, 7700 Harford Rd. I called this morning to make sure they had wheel lock keys so that I could have my car towed in for tire replacement and they assured me they did. So I had my car towed and when I arrived, the manager told me that they did not have the keys and the call center in the Philippines didn't know what they were talking about, so I had to call, and pay for, a second tow To a local service center who could help. read more

So I had a scheduled appointment for 11 o'clock today I I had a coupon that I already paid for a service through Groupon, the gentleman and for me that it doesn't cover full synthetic, but it clearly states what's included when you go Groupon website before you pay for it clearly high mileage, Valvoline, and or full but he was trying to charge me an additional charge for the oil then I asked well what is your office phone number and what is your first name? He then states I don't have to give that information to you so I took a picture of them. Then he started getting ignorant cussing me out and everything even though he was in the wrong because he would not even look at the phone to read what was included with the coupon then going on telling me oh well there's $98 for full synthetic. Came here to replace a tire that ended up with a hole, turns out my other tires were also suffering from dry rot! Service specialist got me a quote to replace my set right away, they had them in stock and had me out of there in just a couple of hours. Definitely was satisfied! I do think they under inflated my tires though, since my tire pressure light was on like a couple hours later and there are no holes in any of the tires. Otherwise, was a great experience. read more

I went to get a 4 wheel alignment today. I got there 830 with my kids.. 10 am and they still working on my alignment, so I ask the guy when will they be done... He was helping a lady, so he said it will be in a few and I have to talk to you about your car... When the guy got done with last at the desk, I went to talk to him and he said i will let the mechanic tell you what's wrong... I go to talk to the mechanic, my car is in the air on the lift. It's 10 somethin and tells me he didn't do the 4 wheel alignment because something about the power steering and you need new tires... He didn't want to do the alignment because then I will come back and say he didn't do it..... i said ok and go back to the guy at the service desk. The guy at the service desk asked what's my email so he can send me an email of what's wrong with the car. He said it will take him 20 minutes to write it up and I said ok. I didn't receive any email . I went to work at 230.. I just got off at 11 and started the car... The lights came on but the engine didn't start... What a coincidence??? It's 11:46 pm and my car engine not starting after going to Mr tire earlier to get a 4 wheel alignment. It's crazy how my car sat on a lift for an hour for the guy to tell me he didn't do the alignment and my car not working now... Guess who I'm coming to see tomorrow.... If I could give zero stars I would... women beware!! My review is based on an experience I just had at this location.. like two hours ago. I got off 695 on harford road heading towards the city, apparently a truck or something dropped a box of wooden and metal items into the street.. cars in front of me were crunching over stuff and so did I (no where to go).. immediately I knew something was wrong, I felt something in my back tire and went to a gas station. Well there was a huge metal looking buckle in the middle of my tire. I went to NtB and they were booked up... I drove across the street to Mr. Tire and the guy in front said it would be $55 for a plug, if it could be plugged/patched... now $55 is wayyyyyyy too much for a tire to be plugged/patched. But I just wanted to get it done and get back on the road. So, I said ok.. he comes back 10 minutes later saying .. nope it can't be plugged/patched and the only tire we have is a Yokohama for $197.... I'm standing there like wtf!? So I said ok go ahead... I'm not a tire expert and don't know the "going rate" of a new tire or when/if a tire can't be patched... I called my boyfriend and he's like hell no! They are trying to get over on you because you're a woman!! That's too much for a standard car like a Honda Accord and where is the hole!? So he's going off on the phone telling me to stop them.. I run back to the counter and tell him to put the old tire back on and I'll take the car.. So, the man finds a used/new tire place called King of Tires on York road... we meet there and they don't see a hole, then use a spray to see if air is coming out .. they see a small hole and say they can patch it for $30... (they were great btw) 1. It's unfortunate that as a woman I can't trust that certain businesses won't try and gouge me on services just because they think I'm dumb. 2. Shame on them for trying to get over! 3. In the end they lost my business FOREVER!! 4. I'll make sure to pass the word along to everyone I know. read more

the service after putting my trust in this location (harford rd) to fix my car after 3 repairs needed for the radiator that was leaking anti-freez. i had 2 services (a cracked radiator and next: a thermostat ) that cost over 1k and, there is still a 3rd problem that just showed up that i can't afford and the manager "jeff" kept saying it did not show any "code" the previous times. the last straw was to repair/replace a fan that cools the radiator for another job that would cost over $500 more. in today's economy i can't afford 3 problems so close together. i just cant believe the diagnostics/codes. i had a private mechanic in years past that has retired and now placing trust on the magnitude of hopefully credible big names............. read more

WRONG OIL CLOGGED MY ENGINE!!!! I took my car to this Mr Tire location to get a tire change, alignment and an oil change, spent almost $600 just to have them use the WRONG OIL in my car. I got my car and in the same day my engine light went on. I brought my car back right the next day asking what happened and if they could give me a diagnosis and they gave very little importance to my issue. They told me there was nothing they could do at the moment and asked me to bring my car back on Tuesday. I then brought my car back on Tuesday and again they said the "diagnosis guy" wasn't there and they couldn't do anything about it when all you gotta do is plug the computer in my car and get a code for what's wrong. Very frustrated that they weren't even caring about my issue, I took my car elsewhere just to find out they used an oil that was too thick for my engine and that MY ENGINE WAS CLOGGING. Needed a new tire right away and stopped here because of the great reviews. Jeff the manager was on duty. He was not very friendly and did not explain things well. I was told they only had one type of tire in stock (it was the most expensive one). I was told they could replace the tire in 30 minutes and it took over an hour. When I asked why it took so long, Jeff said he told me it was 30 min wait for a tire repair... We only discussed a replacement. TV was way too loud and another customer came in very upset with the services he received. read more

Went in today for an oil change and asked to check my tire. Was OVER CHARGED $350.00 was not emailed a recipe when I requested it. When I called same day to ask about the charges, I stated my issue, was put on hold for 20 minutes. Then when I was able to speak to someone I was treated extremely rude and dismissive when I asked to break down the charges. I then mentioned I did not get my emailed recipe, confirmed they had the wrong email, provided my correct email address and have still yet to receive my bill with the breakdown of charges. Was then hung up on when I asked to stay on the line until I received my email with the bill. Will never again use this location or any Mr. Tires. Reluctantly replaced 2 tires at this location a few weeks ago and had a great experience. I booked a same day appointment and my car was in and out within an hour or so. I was hesitant about getting the additional road hazard protection because I was already spending more than I wanted to. A week later my low tire pressure warning comes on so I brung my car back in. Turns out one of my tires (one not replaced the last visit) was damaged beyond repair. Luckily I recalled having that specific tire replaced at a different Mr. Tire location. They called to verify and notified me that I had road hazard insurance on that one as well, so Im currently getting my tire replaced at fraction of the cost. Lesson of the day: always get the road hazard insurance. Your future self will thank you read more

Service mgr was dismissive of my concerns about my ABS system, and didn't want to hear it. Was not at all knowledgeable. He said "they just hook it up to a machine." Obviously did not know anything about brake systems. Refused to write details on work order, and made me write my own instructions to the mechanic, who failed to follow my specific instructions, resulting in a nearly catastrophic brake failure on the way home. Reached out to parent company immediately to demand a refund. They said the location mgr would be reaching out to me. That was two weeks ago, and I am still looking for my refund. Too bad, because the location is convenient to my house, and I had previously gotten a good deal on tires there. Looks like it's back to Pep Boys for me. read more

I discourage anyone from having this company (or maybe it is just the location) perform any service on one's vehicle. I stopped in yesterday to get a quote for a brake job on my car understanding that I was most likely looking to replace brakes and rotors. I was quoted $2,500.00+ for this effort. I know the ballpark for what this would cost and that is not even close so I said thanks but no thanks. Now for the good part. At NO POINT prior to the quote was I informed of the cost to quote. My fault for forgetting to ask. $135.00 for the quote. So I have no doubt, the minute I walked out and left the car with them to evaluate the only time and effort put into this was to write up the quote. A quick $135.00. If I were to go ahead with the work then even better. But they are guaranteed $135.00 for little effort. Bet it is common practice that if anyone walks in and does not ask the $$ for quote. This morning I found a reputable service center to perform the work. $40.00 to quote and total cost of brakes, rotors and calipers was $1,200.00. Been in here a few times for an oil change and tires for my gf's car. Great, friendly customer service. Work done relatively quick. Oil change wasn't the cheapest in town (~$70 full synthetic) but felt good about the work. Ordered tires online and shipped to them for installation, ~ $100 a tire with balancing, alignment, disposal. I have had issues with other Mr. Tire locations (not having the tire my vehicle needed, breaking wheel locks and not letting me know, lying about it after the fact, etc). This location has something different than all the others and that's John! John made sure when he discovered the issue, he had a solution to get me through the current situation safely, had a follow up plan, and genuinely made me feel as though he cared and didn't want to just pass the issue off to someone else. In fact, he ASKED if he could "take care of me" and made sure I was satisifed with the solution. He is incredibly truthworthy and genuine. Just goes to show you that the customer service and manager are everything in this industry. John is a HUGE asset to the company and I will only go to him from now on! read more

The Mr Tire in Parkville has always been my go-to place for tires. They have replaced tires on my last three cars. I came in on a Saturday without an appointment because I had picked up a nail. John told me he would fit me in when he could. I knew I would be waiting without an appointment on a Saturday. But to my surprise, after a quick walk to the shopping center across the street I came back (about 20 minutes) and my car was being worked on! He told me that he had an appointment run late and got me in! THAT is great customer service! He could have just started the next appointment early. Don't ever go to this place! I went Monday August 19th to get my oil changed because I was in a rush to get to Ocean City I normally go to my regular mechanic who I trust. I get my oil changed which they raped me on then as I'm pulling off of the lot I noticed there's a difference in my brakes dramatically my pedals almost to the floor I take it to another mechanic after I get to Ocean City and he tells me that both of my brake lines in the rear are loose! Maybe it's a coincidence that after they finish my oil change they ask me if I want to get my rear brake pads changed because their metal on metal I said no I have my own mechanic for that. The mechanic here in Ocean City that I took my car to tells me that my rear brake pads are fine and asked if I had brake work done recently I said absolutely not just an oil change. Even the mechanic here said that something sounds kind of fishy don't take your car to this place ever!! read more

Called Mr. Tire today after I decided to disregard traditional driving practices and run over a curb, resulting in a bent rim. John answered and said to come in and see if he can bend it back. He was the only place that would even try to fix it rather than tell me I have to buy a new wheel. Thankfully, he not only fixed my wheel, but didn't charge me.
