March of 2023 I bought what I thought was a brand new battery from this jiffy lube. When I went for…read moremy oil change and car check up at another location less than 5months later, they told me my battery was not good and I should go back to where I got it. I went back they claim they test it and it was fine. Now less than two years later the battery is dead and they say they cant do anything about it because they only offer a one year warrant. No credit towards a new battery....... nothing. The stand life of a battery is 3-5years. Needless to say I went and got a battery from auto zone, they installed it for free, 3-5 year battery life and a 3 year warranty. It was also $36 dollar cheaper than the junk Jiffy Lube sold me. SAVE YOUR MONEY and pick another location. This establishment has alot to learn about honesty and customer loyalty. I will drive to the extra 20minutes to the other location in middle river. Ohhhhh 3 months ago they tried to charge me over 600 to change tire pressure sensors.... they said they couldn't tell which one was bad, so I should change all of them. I took my car and left. Went to a nearby shop within two mintue they told me it was my back left tire but my front right was also giving a low reading. They recommended i change both, but I could wait on the front right if it was not in my budget right now. Needless to say, had all four changed for $260, my tires pressured and a tire tred reading.

They do very good business so they're frequently booked up-- make an appointment if possible, they take preference over walk-ins. I called on a Wednesday morning to see when I could get in, and the earliest appointment they had was Friday. I needed an oil change, my tires inspected, and for them to check on an issue with my AC. You fill out a detailed service form inside the Shell station and the cashier, who is also a garage employee, takes care of it from there. When the mechanic called to give me his report, he followed my instructions to proceed with the oil change but get my permission for any other work needed. He told me my tires were in good condition (and didn't try to upsell me to make a buck). With the roads in Bmore being what they are, it would have been really easy to try that card (which some untrustworthy mechanics do more so with women), but this guy was honest with me and I respect that. He also said that my AC issue wasn't a problem that required any work and might just come and go, though harmless-- so again, saving me cash. The whole process was very efficient and reasonable priced, and the staff was friendly. I definitely recommend!

Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one.
