Had a genuinely great time at pepboys this weekend. I saw the deals pepboys was having and I needed some work done so I decided I would give pepboys a try. I previously had a bad experience with another garage.... I went in looking for tires on Sunday. The store was AMAZINGLY clean and Bill at the service desk explained everything about the tires they had for my car. Super pleased with how they treated my car. I also got signed up to get free tire repairs and rotations!! There wasn't even a hidden fee. The price they gave me was just as good as the deals I could find online at other stores so I had it done with pepboys. The store had enough stuff to look at that the time passed and my car was done. I also had a few people to chat with walking around. I left with a set of tires they had on sale that matched my old tires perfectly down to the brand. They took great care of my car and can't complain at all. Thumbs up! read more

I visited this Pep Boys located on the Berlin Turnpike store #250. I have never experienced such poor service, nor have I ever been treated so disrespectfully. I went to purchase a bottle of fuel treatment. I grabbed the bottle and approached the register where Jeff was standing. I say hello and place the bottle on the counter. Jeff walked away to the opposite counter. Opened the register and told the customer behind me, that he could check out his items. The customer and myself told Jeff that I was next in line. Jeff then proceeded to tell the customer that I was on my phone so I lost my place in line. I told Jeff I didn't understand how me being on my phone made a difference in my placement in line. Jeff then says I was being inconsiderate by being on the phone. Jeff refused to check my items even with the customer behind me also telling him he was not next in line. I tried my best to let Jeff know my phone call didn't hinder me from hearing or knowing what was going on around me. He had plenty of time to simply check out my items so I could be on my way. Jeff simply denied me service. I asked to speak to a manager. He went on to tell me he was the manager and still would not check my items. When I asked to speak to his manager... he replied that he was the manager and would not provide me with any more assistance. I had to get the store number and complaint info from another associate. I have never been so disgusted. I was on the phone. I was not loud. I was not being inconsiderate in any way. This could have easily been avoided. Jeff went out of his way to deny me service. I was on my phone? That warranted me being denied service? This is who Pep Boys put in place to represent the company? I simply do not understand why I was treated so poorly. I feel like this entire situation may have been racially motivated. Jeff would not be reasoned with. I would not recommend this facility to anyone at all. If possible I would offer a zero-star review. Today I had an 8 am appointment to have my brakes inspected. I made the appointment online two days before. I arrived at the store at 7:35 am and was parked in front of the closed garage. Despite staff walking in no one directed me to park and come inside to check-in. After sitting there for several minutes I realized that I should go inside. I went inside and was checked-in by 7:45 am. I was checked in by Jose Perez the service department manager who told me that it would take 30-45m. I was the 3rd person in the store so I decided to wait for my vehicle. I sat in the waiting area for the next 2.5hrs. Many customers came and went. I went to the counter to inquire as to what was going on with my truck and then the abysmal customer service began. I was informed that the clerk had just gotten there and knew nothing about my vehicle. I went and looked in the parking lot and it was exactly where I parked it. When I approached the desk again he again reiterated he had just gotten there. I told him I just wanted my keys back and I would leave. He went into the back and came out with a mechanic who while apologetic explained to me that they were busy and short-staffed. He told me if I could wait for another 10minutes he would get my truck in and BEGIN the diagnostic. which potentially would take another 30-45m on top of that. I said give me my keys I am leaving I cannot wait over 3 hours for a scheduled appointment. I am currently awaiting a call from the district manager. I will update if a resolution is obtained. If they had told me it would have taken longer I wouldn't have waited but unfortunately, my window to get a ride had come and gone. I would choose anywhere else to get my work done! read more

I was having issues with my brakes. Being recently divorced and unemployed money is tight. I was absolutely thrilled to hear the estimate of $250 or $350 in a worst case scenario. As is usual in the auto repair business the original quote triples. I received a phone call that it would be $750 dollars. The gentleman on the phone was nice to offer a 10 percent off but I was still looking at $640 my budget wouldn't allow something over $500. I'm trying to get back on my feet financially. I just can't catch a break :( read more

I went for tires, the price online was fantastic.when I got there they said they were out of stock , I asked if I could order them , they said no .i asked for the next lowest price tire , also out of stock .the only tire available was 200 more than the online quote.I went down the road to wall Mart and saved 200 dollars .in and out in an hour , even got a wall Mart card and saved another 25 bucks. read more

there are other auto parts places around but i seem to end up at this pep boys more often than other places. its easy to get to on the pike, staff is pretty friendly and they usually have what im lookin for. read more

Today was the most eye opening experience I have witnessed in a while...I watched the manager blatantly skip over a man in line because he said he was on his phone. The guy was standing in line waiting his turn and chatting on the phone. The guy calling himself a "manager" (Jeff) moved to another register and proceeded to call the second in line over to him...with complete disregard to the first man waiting. The second guy tried to say no he was first. The "manager" Jeff said he's on the phone so I'll take you. Everyone else stood baffled at what was happening. This is the worst customer service and possible racial profiling I have seen with my own two eyes! read more

I've attempted to call your business on three occasions to obtain an estimate on work to be done. Each time I was on hold for about 10 minutes and gave up. If the shop isn't able to handle a quick estimate how can they handle the actual service. I'll go elsewhere read more

Terrible service, I want to change oil, made appointment , no customer waiting, take them 1h 30 minutes to change oil, plus When I come home found out they forget to put cup back on engine, all oil spreading around the hood.When I come back , they try to clean inside the hood (so-so), but no remorse. read more

Never again!!! Been a long time customer for several years with 4 cars. They charge for services then don't do them. I watched as they worked on my car then pulled it out but I saw they didn't complete the work. I brought it to the mgr's attention and he went in and confronted the tech. After eating again my car was brought back into the shop. For real,I have to stand at the window!!?? The previous mgr's were great,these new faces have no clue. Never saw the mgr after that for an explanation,guess he didn't have one read more

I would have rated this 3 stars because of the previous guy I talked to, except for the nasty attitude from a MANAGER, no less, tonight when I called.I went there on Sunday afternoon to have my headlight repaired and spoke to a very helpful guy at the front desk.He looked up the price of the bulb and told me that it would cost $137 to replace the bulb. When I asked him why it was so much, he said the bulb cost $100 and it cost $37 to replace it.I looked on Amazon right there, on my phone,and the bulb was $65. I asked him if the manager would honor that price. Someone came out and said he one of the managers and he was very nice but apologized and said that they don't do price matches with online vendors. Then the first person told me when it came in to bring the car back and they would install it for the $37. Today I received the part and called them to ask them if they could replace it, and whomever picked up the phone said he was a manager and told me that it would be over $120 to replace the bulb. I told him that I was told it would be $37 per the person that I talked to on Sunday and he asked "well, did you get a name?". When I described the manager on Sunday ( whitish hair, short, stocky) he very rudely said "there's a lot of managers here but none of them look like that and I'm not doing it for that amount because it takes me about 2 hours to install it.". The nasty tone in his voice basically suggested that I was lying.I called my mechanic, who would not have been able to install this light for another week because he's so busy, and I needed the light installed because I was already ticketed, and my mechanic said he didn't understand, that it previously took him only about 45 mins to do the labor and he only previously charged me about $40 to change it.This person really should not be a manager if he cannot treat people with respect when they call. I will now just wait until next week to see my mechanic and know that I will be treated fairly and honestly. read more
