I do think I was overcharged for a taillight bulb replacement costing $44.52, but that's ok, it was better to get the light bulb replaced vs. risking getting stopped by a policeman and possibly getting a ticket. On the bill, it looks like I paid twice: $19.99 for Light bulb installation package install labor and $19.99 for small bulb installation labor. I don't understand why I paid two labor fees. The small light bulb should have been included in the Light bulb installation package, that's why it states - PACKAGE. There were no Senior Citizen discounts, which I understand. But the total price of $44.52 for one small bulb installation was ridiculous and quite expensive for a small light bulb that cost $1.99!! This was the only place near me . (Still 50 min out) that priority tire delivered to. So I can get two front tires installed. I normally just have them delivered to my home. But having a 2012 camaro. Space is limited. Appointment time was 12 noon. I arrived 15 min early. The gentleman behind the counter was very polite. But one hour went by. Car still sitting in parking lot. Hour 15 min later attendant for the tire installation had a lead foot. Thinking it was cool to push on gas to travel a very short distance to tire bay. Already annoyed at the long wait. Even with Appointment. The fact that the attendant feels there is nothing wrong with slamming trucks and car doors on a car with a custom paint job. Only adds fuel on the fire. One would think a tire shop. That specializes in tires . Would have their own sockets to take off NON-LOCKING lugs. Nope. They absolutely dont. So after wasting almost 2 hours. Had to cram 2 tires into a camaro. And find somewhere else to get them installed. THANK GOD FOR DISCOUNT TIRE!!! i pulled in told them my experience I just had with pep boys. Lure you in with "great coupons" then quadruple the price when they find "other items" in need of repair. Being older in my years and a mechanic when I was younger, I didn't fall for their bait and switch. This place used to be pretty good, but seems to have changed management or ownership in the past few years. They will never see my business again. Took my vehicle to another shop who did the work that was needed with no issues at less than half the final price of what RipBoys was going to charge me. When they emailed me the quotes I noticed it was $300 less then they told me at the shop. Where's that extra $300 going? (3 employees on site at the time, extra $100 bucks each in their pocket is my guess) It's usually a bad sign when you pull into a shop and all their service bays and parking lots are empty. Find a good independent shop, avoid the chains. I don't recognize any of the employee names in previous reviews, so they must be going through them just as bad. What a great team!!! I had problems with the electrical system in my 2012 Audi, and was in San Antonio. With cautious advice from the PepBoys in San Antonio I decided to get back to Houston. I called Conroe and with Rico's help was guided through what he needed to do to get the alternator replaced. On arriving Monday morning I was expecting to see Rico however, Aaron told me he was unexpectedly out. My initial worries and concerns were immediately addressed by Aaron informing me they had all the information relayed to the team, had the pars needed , and were good to go after a confirmatory electrical diagnosis. In less than 10 minutes he relayed the information to me that they confirmed the findings from San Antonio and agree with replacing the alternator. It was reassuring they didn't just do the repair with confirmation! Expecting the usual repair shop processes and relays you can imagine how shocked I was to get a text my car was ready in less than 2 hours in the shop. I couldn't believe it and thought it ws a mix up. No, it was ready!! I also talked to Aaron about an issue with my sun screen retracting under the sun roof, hoping they might be able to help. Again I was appreciative of Aaron's input and honesty about them not being able to address that particular issue; however he directed me to a collision shop to ge their input. I want to thank the team for a job well done, for Aaron and his honest and complete attention to getting the job done right. I scheduled an appointment for a CONVENTIONAL oil change online. There are options for conventional, synthetic, and high mileage, I believe, and I chose the regular conventional oil change. I was home sick, so I sent my 18 year old daughter to get it done. When she gets there, the guy asks her what kind of oil change, even though I've already selected the option I wanted online. She tried to call, but I didn't hear the phone ring, so he INSISTS that my daughter told him that I wanted the full synthetic blend, which is absurd since she knows nothing about different oil brands. He totally upsold her but insists that she herself made that call. I told her before she left that I just wanted the basic oil change and had already selected the option online. $96 for a Platinum full synthetic oil change, but he gave her a $20 coupon. How thoughtful! It's RIDICULOUS that no matter what option you choose online, they'll give you the higher priced one any way if you don't know any better. Not to mention that the guy was raising his voice at me over the phone when I called to ask why it was so much. He decided to refund an additional $20 after I requested to speak with a manager, which he claimed to be. Very shady way to run the business. read more

Since PepBoys took over this location the management and staff have definitely improved. Nicolas is very knowledgeable with all the vehicles they service and he is a straight shooter on what repairs are needed with no high pressure to get unnecessary repairs done. Mechanics do excellent job on the repairs and do them fairly quickly it does take a little longer when they are busy. This location also does appointments or walk-Ins I recommend this location for all your repair needs. read more

I ran over some glass and so I went to Pep boys because they were the closest. After looking at the tire which had a hash of about 1/4 of an inch, they said it can't be fixed. So I told them that I will just go ahead and change out my donut tire and have it fixed somewhere else. They hollered at me and said that I cannot change my tire on their property like I was breaking the law. I asked him how can I get my car somewherr to change out my tire and they told me they can put some air in my flat tire so I can get somewhere. So I went over to the parking lot at advance auto parts which they had no problem with me changing out my doughnut. I went to another place to get my tire fixed and they said it is completely fixable and I got it fixed and I'm back on the road. They were rude and their customer service was less than one star. Scam Artists! My car had been squealing for a bit and I knew that I needed new break pads for my car, so I tried out Just Brakes. I was given a quote of $88 for mid-range brake pads + basic labor fees. I ended up with a bill of over $600. I was so shocked I made a quick call to my father who is a mechanic. He told me to get out of there as soon as possible. I told them to put everything back and I ended up paying $32 for an "inspection". They did try to lower the quote by saying, "You can remove this service...if you want." I said no and drove away. I went to a another business and got my brakes replaced and got an alignment for $210 after a coupon for $60 off for brake pad replacement. Well never use Just Brakes ever and I implore you to avoid them too. read more

Got there and was told the job was going to be $708.23! What a joke! Was given the runaround and was then told that they could do the $119 per axle which was quoted over the phone but the job was basically going to suck and there would be issues. When I go in the office there is no one there it took awhile for someone to attend me and there was no one there I was the only customer there the guy says its gunna take a couple of hours even though there was no one there and I leave to go do some errands and the guy calls me that all this stuff needs to be done to it and that it will cost me $1,500 to get fixed and I told him I only needed the front right tire done and he charged me $300 they charge you wayyy too much they rip you off they break your stuff so that you can't leave the shop without giving them some type of cash don't ever ever ever go there they charge you wayyy too much they are horrible they will rip you off!!! At first I was a little scared based on the reviews. I spoke with the manager about a quote and was amazed at the price. Took it in and made it clear that I wanted the work I agreed on and for that price. I was a bit upset when they called me and the price had changed higher than expected. The manager came the next day to me to make it right. I am very pleased with the service and would tell anyone to go there. If you have any issues you should contact him. If I had 10 stars to give, I wouldn't be hesitant. I had an appointment scheduled for a wheel alignment and as soon as I entered through the front door I was greeted by the assistant manager by the name of Erin Boone. He was very professional and ready to start the wheel alignment. As I waited for about 10 minutes both Erin and the service manager Nicholas Barber returned and advised me that a wheel alignment was not necessary. They printed out the results for me to witness the results. They asked to see photos of my old tires where they depicted all I needed was to rotate tires every 5 months. Nicholas was very helpful professional and knowledgeable. It is great to still have honest people in the profession especially after I was told that I needed a wheel alignment by the Toyota dealer that I purchased new tires from. I took my van in and was given a long list of what they said was wrong with my car and they guy made it sound like my van was falling apart and unsafe. After I left there I drove straight to the Dodge dealer and showed them the print out of what Just Brakes said I needed fixed and the inspected my van and told me nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I wish there was a button for a piece of a star I am not at all pleased with JUSTBRAKES, where do I begin well let's just say that my dealings with this company is still going on because they broke my key in the ignition how that happen I don't even know but I have been getting the run around about my key getting fixed that night Marcus said they would take it to the dealership and have everything replaced but that story changed after that night. He has a very callous attitude about everything and I told him I needed two keys made and he was like well we only broke one but what he failed to realize is that he had broken two if I needed a new ignition. Then I took the jeep back they removed the piece of key from the ignition and asked to make a copy of the other one so we did that thinking that the key was going to dealership but were we ever wrong by the way I am still waiting on the key. Marcus told my husband it would be there WED (12/16) or THURS (12/17) but when I came on the 17th he was so worried about me having an appointment that he told me the dealership wouldn't do it so late in the day mind you its only 10:15 a.m. so I personally call the dealership they said they can do it so I go back in there to let Marcus know and he said they will get it over there. Then not even 45 mins later he called and said they couldn't get it in I had to wait because the key is not here. You knew that when I dropped it off that you didn't have the key. So when I went to pick up my jeep I asked for the corporate number but the store manager was there and I tried to explain to him my frustration about my key and he has a nonchalant attitude as well. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this place. I spent almost 600 bucks on brakes and rotors getting machined and they are already squeaking not a good look JUSTBRAKES I feel like I have been cheated because a brake job is not that expensive and then they are already making noise lets be real did I get RIPPED OFF sounds like it.Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. read more
