They are liars! I brought my Macan S in for an oil change for the second time at this location. Let me start off by saying I booked the 11am appointment but they called and asked if I could come in between 12p-1p because someone didn't show up to work, ok. Next, it took almost 2 hours for them to preform my oil change! It took the mechanic "30min to get the undercarriage cover off" I should have know then but I can 2 months ago for the same service and everything was fine. So oil is finally changed and they tell me they can't turn off the oil change light, fine. I turn out and I'm driving and I hear this dragging noise... so I immediately pull over and look under my car. IT WAS THE UNDERCARRIAGE COVER BENT BACK RIPPED FROM THE CAR!! I immediately call and the woman apologizes and say come back up and let them reattach it. I tell her it's ripped off and she said they could look into replacing it. Cool, I drive back up there and walk in and the manager says it was like that when I brought it up here. What?! No it was not!! He even told me my undercarriage was missing bolts, if that was the case why did it take your mechanic 30min to get it off in the first place?! He tells me they can't fix it and tells me not to raise my voice at him. I said cool just take my car down, he tells me to wait so he can take pics... why are you taking them now?! What he doesn't know I have a ring camera at my gate that videos everytime we come in and out the complex. I have video literally the hour before and NOTHING IS HANGING! I immediately called the pep boys 800 number and file a claim. During the call she tells me to pull up my service paperwork from a text they send and I see in the comments he added "undercarriage cover missing bolts" but I have the copy of paper he gave me when I left the first time and that comment isn't there! LOL He's actually falsifying documentation! I will never go to that location ever again!! I'm just thankful I have photos and videos to back up my claim or else I would have to cover the repairs myself! read more

Made a 9am appointment for my front brakes to be replaced. Arrived on time for me to be told I would need to wait an hour for their "guy" to come in at 10am. Then I said I'll just take light bulb change. The front desk guy tells me I'd still need to wait for their guy to come in.... Why are you open? Why did I make an appointment requesting these things only to be told to wait till 10. When making the appointment I wanted to be called to further speak to someone about what I need but didn't get the call. Would have saved me the gas and time. read more

DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED OR YOU WILL LEAVE WITH SOMETHING ELSE BROKEN!!! Ken, the service rep, has terrible communication skills and he isn't afraid to express any frustration towards customers. I brought my car up to Pepe boys to get a water outlet replaced, he told me my price would be $240, then he told me $285, then he came back and told me $387, all without explaining to me what he was actually charging me for. After being told my car would be done @ 12:00pm, they weren't done until 6:30pm. The water outlet was replaced but my driver side window is now off track. I've had car for 2 months and never had any issues with my windows until I drove off from pep boys. I had the most frustrating time in the shop and I will never come here again. read more

I had a screw located in my front driver side tire. When I first called about it, I was told to make an appointment, so the employee can give me a wait time in case the repair shop is busy. I finally got around to calling back and making an appointment and spoke to Ken, who told me to come in. 'You don't need an appointment.' So, I came in and there was a customer ahead of me and another employee was speaking to a customer on the phone. Ken came out of the repair area to ask both customers one at a time, 'What do we need help with?' We told him and then he started to help the customer standing in front of me with their issue. When it was my turn, I told Ken about the screw in the tire and gave him my car key and waited in the waiting area. It wasn't a long wait, before Ken came and told me that they just got a shipment of tires in and they needed to be unloaded. I said, 'Okay.' Because I needed to see if the tire could be repaired and the price of $25 is cheaper than a new tire. It was around a 40 minute wait, and because of the inconvenience, I wasn't charged for the repair. Thank you Mr. Ken for your generosity and the service technician that repaired my tire. read more

I had 8am appointment on Saturday morning for routine maintenance (oil change). Overall things went smoothly and Ken (service mgr) alerted me about potential problem with front end alignment based on wear pattern in tire. Ken was also on point in identifying the correct grade of oil for my 2015 Toyota Corolla. Ken did not try to upsell me on the alignment, which was good because I do not like pushy aggressive reps. I reduced the rating from 4-5 to 3 stars due to very cold temperature in the waiting room. Ken tried to fix the problem and had requested correction from pep boys corporate, but to no avail. read more

My first visit and I feel so ripped off. I went in for a fuel injection cleaning and coolant exchange...total, including labor, was $240...Really? $150 for labor...Though they said it would take maybe two hours...I sat there for about almost an hour. The man also pushing the "best" package deals on me...Of course, they were the really expensive ones. Up until now, my car still has idle/throttling problems and then tonight, I just found out that they didn't put back a piece to what was taken out from the fuel injection cleaning... Lesson learned...take an automotive class, you'll save money and these are pretty much DIY's. Oh! And they tell me that I need an oil change/flush...after I had already serviced that with Jiffy Lube...The sticker for my next visit is up on the window...No, thank you. read more

My car's heat hasn't been working - and it's been driving me crazy, especially with it being as cold as it's been in Dallas lately. Went to two AutoZones. They gave me some spiel about the heater core, but nobody checked my antifreeze or helped me locate my thermostat. It wasn't until I went to this Pep Boys - at the last Auto Zone's recommendation - for a portable heater, that the manager cracked my hood, and we determined that the antifreeze I just put in had leaked already. We put antifreeze in the car, the heat worked immediately, we got the air bubbles out, revved the engine and discovered it wasn't the heater core - there's a crack/leak in the thermostat that, left unchecked, threatens my engine. It's also why the heat isn't working. So instead of going to Beckley's Auto - at the recommendation of Auto Zone - and getting some cheap portable heater - the part has been ordered at Pep Boys and the unit will get fixed for about $200 overall on Friday as opposed to replacing a heater core, spending $1k+ and still having issues with my heat. I'm not even messing with the other two Auto Zones anymore. One was on Beckley, the other is on Lancaster and some street in Oak Cliff. I'm a chick with a Mustang who knows how to YouTube and isn't stupid, and it felt like I knew how to communicate my car issues better than those AutoZone folks. I'm so much better off at Pep Boys...and learning how to repair my car my damnself. read more

I was get my oil change at Pep Boys on Camp Wisdom and they do a great job. Yesterday I stopped in and the service manager asked me what happen to my car. I explain to him that I was teaching my daughter how to drive and she ran off the road. The service manager Don took the time to look at my car and fix my bumper which saved me $500. Was a longtime customer until today. The company they have to tow vehicles are rude and tried to overcharge on towing fee. It's only $25 for reward gold members. I spoke with Jose and inquired about the cost of labor only because I would purchase my own part. He quoted one price and 35 minutes later he looked me in my face and basically called me a liar stating he would have never said that. Needless to say, the work was done. I paid my original quoted price but I will have to sever my business with them. May not matter to them financially but it matters to me! read more

Don't buy tires here or any other PepBoys in the World. Purchased new tires and was forced to buy into the road hazard insurance to get the sale price. A little over A year and A half and less then 20,000 miles A tire just blew out on the freeway. Went to PepBoys to have it fixed and the price for the replacement from the road hazard policy was more then I paid for the tire new. So many hidden charges on tires you will be better off shopping around and paying A few dollars more, and getting better quality name brand safe tires for A lot less at final cheakout then cheap off brand tires from PepBoys with so many fees it doubles the price of the tire. read more

Beware of changing prices at the location. Service manager paid off commission. Be sure to ask for the best prices parts because they will give you the most expensive parts every time. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Took the husbands car in for yearly inspection. We had to wait over 1 hour for them to even look at it and another 1 1/2 hours for them to get us a stupid quote for tires. Got the tires fixed at a different place much cheaper. Took car back to pepboys to retest for inspection (only because it was free) and even made an 8:30am appointment (the first one of the day). After the car sitting in the inspection spot for over 40 minutes with no one looking at it we are beyond peeved. Go anywhere but here unless you are willing to waste your own time!!!!!!! read more

Terrible service here and they ripped me off. I went in to get my tires checked and they told me I needed them replaced. I wasn't sure about getting it done there, but they offered me a $99 rebate. The guy made a big show of taking out the paper and circling all the places I was supposed to fill in and assuring me I would get this rebate. Paid, sent it in, etc., only to find that the rebate had already expired. He basically deceived me into buying the tires. They also told me I needed some other things fixed. When I took the car back it was dripping oil. So I brought it back a few days later. Very annoying. When I came back to pick up my car they told me to wait a few minutes and someone would get my car ready for me. I sat in the waiting room for a long time. I kept asking them about it and they kept asking me to wait. Finally the last time I came out, about an hour later, all the employees were gathered around a computer screen laughing at a Youtube video. I was not very happy. I asked about my car and one guy went out to look at it. It was obvious they hadn't even begun to look at my car. They gave it about 5 minutes worth of attention before giving it back to me. At least I didn't have to pay for that because it was a problem from a previous fix -- it had been leaking oil and I asked them to fix it. But all in all, I felt ripped off and treated badly. Don't go here, go somewhere else. Everything they charged me for was way more expensive and they were quoting me extremely high prices ($1900) to fix some things that another mechanic told me was not a big deal and didn't need to be fixed at all. read more

This morning I called Pep Boys #716 on 4010 Camp Wisdom Rd. at 7:30am and asked if I could have my vehicle towed in I was told yes and they would have it fixed by the end of the day. The tow truck had it there at 8:30am. The rep. at the service desk assured me it would be finished today. After not hearing anything I called at 5:45pm and spoke to Leon. Leon told me that they were short staffed and it might be around noon the next day before they could look at it. I should have been told the truth this morning that they were booked up and short staffed. I could have the truck towed somewhere else. Leon could have cared less!!! This is my first experience with Pep Boy's and it is becoming a bad experience. I can recommend NOT to use this location read more
