Had a great experience. Went in for a tire repair due to a nail. It was not reparable so I had to get a new one. They did everything in their power to get me a match to my other tires. There was a little hiccup when the tire came in they couldn't find it but they tore the place up looking for it and found it. 25 min later I was out the door with a new tire. Great job! read more

The last time this Pep Boys location was any good whatsoever was when it had a man who looked to be in his late 40s to early 50s running it. I don't remember his name, but he had blonde hair and he was white, wore glasses and he was very friendly and took care of customer needs. Well, that was about six or so years ago, and this place has completely gone to hell! Pep Boys has always been an iffy type of business but the guy I am talking about here at least seem to try to do the right thing. Ever since he left the management that has run this place has been all but a joke. I don't know where they get their mechanics from, but they must scrape the bottom of the barrel, as I wouldn't so much as have any of them work on a bicycle! Went to get a alignment done, was told it would take a hour, 8 hours laters finally got it back. And the car does the same thing I went in for, still pulls to the right, when I go faster then 65 steering wheel starts to shake. Was told I need "new tires" so I got good used tires, still didn't fix the problem, go over a bump or hit a hole the whole front end bounces to the lift. read more

Manager skills are horrible. They have bad attitudes and are not professional. They love to talk and Not listen. Pep Boys plugged my tire in March and the tech did a bad job they said they didn't do it the computer said they did. Beware, they tried to charge me way more than what my parts cost, $180 for 1 lower ball joint. Actual retail value: less than $50 ( I know because I looked it up by the part # on my invoice). Also, I have a lifetime alignment and so far they have misaligned my car and steering wheel two out of two times. Hopefully you have better luck but buyer beware. read more

I made and appointment online, got an email and text verification and when I showed up on time they said "Oh your still supposed to call there is a three hour wait". What's the point and then to act like I was crazy to expect anything else. Not a great customer service model. read more

I am left with two trucks with oil plugs that was stripped out and fell out while driving. The management refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing. I am a disabled veteran and have used pepboys for years but now that they've cost me thousands of dollars and left me and my family without transportation so close to Christmas is ridiculous. All I was asking was that they'd fix at least one of them. Guess it's too much to ask. If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible customer service. Made an appointment for 8am got there around 7:50am to drop my car off. I return around 9:30 to pick it up because I have a job to get to. And they still hadn't even started on it yet. The manager told me to come back at 5pm and promised to get it done. Returned around 4:45pm and the guy at the desk had no clue what I was talking about, and told me there was no way my car would get in today. Then I called to speak to the manager and the manager said the desk guy told him that I didn't want to get my car done today and left. This story starts with a terrible beginning but ends with finding a truly excellent shop that provides customer service and actually seems to care about the people they are serving. We were off for a road trip out west. It is early in the morning and the car will not start. After waiting too long for Allstate Motor club/ Subaru road service to jump the car we drive over the Pepboys near Regency which is supposed to open at 7:00 am. Guess what?...of course no one shows up at 7:00 so we drive to this Pepboys (after calling) and meet the Service Manager Ronald Broughton. His manner was reassuring, professional and clearly conveyed interest and concern and a desire to help and provide rapid service to get us on our way. The battery was dead (despite having been at Subaru a few weeks before and being reassured that it was not the battery and the problem had been fixed). Great!...well the battery unfortunately had to come from their dispensing store at Montlimar. The good news however was the assistant manger was on his way in from that direction and would pick it up. When it arrived (a short time later) they put it in quickly and efficiently, did their checks, and we were off. Okay, this sounds like a simple story but it is the way we were handled that is the reason I am writing this. This is clearly the prima Pepboys in this area for the way we were handled. It appears evidently that the manager I was dealing with was a retired Paramedic for the fire department. It now makes sense as his interface with me was that of a professional trained in interfacing and providing solutions. So, the end of the story is a strong recommendation on my part to use this place as it is clearly under excellent management. That is exactly what one needs when one requires car service. I recommend ANY Pep Boys location in Mobile except the one at Montlimar Drive. I've been there before and the service sucks a big one! This location at Airport Blvd. and Shillinger's Rd. was fantastic and the service was great! Had a terrible experience. After asking in writing for a mount and balance only, on a new tire purchase, and waiting 2 1/2 hours I was sill charged for road hazard, TPMS parts and labor. After pointing out the fact that my car did not even have the TPMS sensors I had been charged for the Manager Ron whom was very Rude and instead of owning the mistakes blamed the computer. I guess the tech didn't know he didn't use the parts and labor I was billed for. I have contacted the customer service department by phone and email and have not received a reply in two weeks. To top it all off my tire they mounted was not balanced properly and bounce's at 55 mph. Trust me folks do not do business here, they will try to steal from you and do a poor job.
