Prices was ok. But they we're rooting around in my truck. They pitched the fit because I had firearms in my truck however to find those firearms you had to physically open things. Like my glove box my center console or physically go in the backseat and take a jacket off of a gun. I just got out of the woods from hunting. And they were pitching a fit because there was a gun in the car. I understand I should've took the gun back to the house, but I was closer to the shop from my hunting spot. And I had to make the appointment. There's no signs anywhere that say guns can't be in your personal car. there's no signs on there online anywhere saying you can't have a gun in your personal car. But the place that I went to they pitched a fit because when they were digging around a root around and they're trying to find stuff which they shouldn't have been in in the first place, they found a gun and they pitched a fit about it. I do not recommend this place to anybody if they didn't find those guns in there, they would've probably stole for me. They found paychecks in there. They found my checkbook in there. Service is absolute garbage! Front associates are rude and ignorant to customers. Just because you are confused as to how a partner of yours works, does not give you the right to treat people like shit. Yes, I had a coupon of an extreme discount on a service. I was there twice. The first time you told me that you needed an hour - cool. I came back an hour half later and then you scoffed at the price of my service and complained about the price saying that was "ridiculous, but whatever." My car is old. My hood latch is broken. I have popped that hood a million times. Does your shop own pliers? Improvise bro! You get paid the same no matter what! read more

My experiences with PepBoys in North Huntingdon, PA continues to disappoint me. I only returned for service a couple of times due to location convenience. I am a DIY car guy and do all of my own repairs other than tire installation, state inspection and wheel alignment. I also have worked in the service industry for 20 years and recognize quality of customer service. With that said, over several years I have never had good experience with this PepBoys location. Once I had the service written/manager act annoyed because I schedule a service appointment on a holiday when they were open for business. Another visit I had to take my vehicle back because the alignment was worse than prior to having it performed. This morning I arrived about 15 minutes early for my 9am appointment that I had scheduled 4 days in advance online. When exiting my vehicle to enter the lobby the mechanic smoking his cigarette in the garage belched out at me, "we don't open till 9!". It was raining and I had my hands full with items since I knew I would be waiting for a while. I had to turn around and get back into my car. I understand they don't open until 9am, but when the employee and manager are eating and smoking in front of an open garage door I assumed I could wait in the lobby until they were ready to conduct business. Other managers in the past open the lobby early for customers to wait. Once 9am arrived I entered into the lobby and the manager complained the online system booked several customers for the 9am spot. I was the told, " it's going to be a while because I only have two techs today". I already was considering leaving after the mechanic belched at me about not being open. However due to my work schedule I had to suck it up and deal with the experience. I needed 4 new tires that I provided installed as well as an alignment. I asked the manager can I skip the alignment since their so busy and it was "going to be a while" and she didn't want to loose the sale so she changed her tune and talked be back into it and said it would only take her guys an extra 1/2 hour to do it. I'm sure it's not totally the workers fault since the online system over booked them. However as a customer optics is everything. I felt I was in the wrong for wanting PepBoys to service my vehicle. Another customer came in for his 10am appointment that he had scheduled with another manager on the phone and was told they couldn't do the work he was promised because it was Sunday. The mechanics walk around with a facial expression that someone just killed their dog. The prices are not clear. There are miscellaneous charges for shop fees and other strange charges. What shop fees are required for and alignment? No consumables are needed to align a vehicle. As for the tire installation the advertised price should be the whole price. The only understandable extra fees should be sales taxes and tire disposal. I was also charged in addition to having tires mounted and balanced an additional $11.00 + tax per tire for, "tire installation on alloy wheel", but I have steel wheels. When asking the service writer she said, "that's how I ring them all up". Finally, the men's rooms was dirty, garbage full and no hand soap. There was a nasty dirty mop laying partially blocking the mens room door. I don't expect a red carpet experience, I just expect basic customer service skills. Update! Steering wheel is off to the right when driving straight down the road after alignment. Another fine alignment performed. PepBoys takes no pride in their service and their charges are not transparent. I corresponded with someone via email from Pepboys social media correspondent. I was told I would be reached out to by someone from district management and over a week has gone by and no update and no communication. Sad! read more

I have been getting my car serviced at this Pep Boys locations for over 7 years and LOVE them so much! They always have availability, thoughtful enough to apply coupons without my asking, and do a great job on oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Highly recommend!! read more

One star is too many. I booked a noon appointment for a state inspection. I checked in at quarter to 12:00 for an hour's worth of work. Returned at 1:20 pm to find my car was not touched. When I asked why, Sam proceeded to bark at me that he only had one tech and he had to eat lunch. Sam is in the wrong line of work, he is rude and grumpy. I understand people have to eat and complications arise but I got a very rude response to a simple question and an easy phone call explaining the situation would have gone a long way. If they can not handle the task of appointment booking then I can not fathom how they would manage servicing a vehicle. I said nothing, I just took my keys and left. Just too expensive. Parts and labor are way overpriced. Had no problem with their work or staff. Plus they charge a $35 shop fee. Should be illegal. The trash bin in the waiting room was overflowing onto the coffee counter - not busy and the staff were in there, so I don't know what's up with that. The dealer probably would have been cheaper. I found a unicorn!! I'd been told by two other shops that my car "definitely needed brakes, shoes and rotors". In fact, the first guy failed my annual inspection in November partially due to the "really bad brakes". I hadn't noticed any issues. So I took the car to a 2nd shop and they also said I had brake issues. But it could pass inspection. When I picked up my car from the second place the "brake" idiot light was on. The mechanic said I'd need brakes "soon". A friend recommended the newest shop near her, so I brought it to Pep Boys for a *third* opinion. They said the brakes were fine, at no less than 50% wear, and new brakes would be a waste of money and time. So I had them change the oil, and I'm debating adding these guys to my will. I went in for an oil change and 1 and half hours later I was charged 70 some dollars with out being told before hand that the price would be that much. The people were nice, but buyer beware they are a little deceptive on their pricing. read more

Two words describe Pep Boys North Huntingdon. Expensive and unqualified. I paid over $400.00 for front brakes and everytime I stop the whole front end shakes. I took it back and they said I needed another 150 dollars of work done to the car. I took it to another repair shop and they said the rotors installed were junk and thats what was causing the problem. I then replaced the rotors for the second time and the problem was solved. I would have to believe that I would have spent another 150. at Pep Boys and it still would of shaked. I took the rotors back and the manager said what do you want me to do? I wanted a refund for the rotors. I unfortunately did not get any money back. Lesson learned that day. Keep driving when you see Pep Boys read more

After dealing with the corporate customer service, things have improved. I'm certainly not 100% satisfied because I didn't receive the full amount that I wanted and I did waste a lot of time but management were reasonable after emotions cooled and corporate customer service were very helpful. I may not go back but at least they made some effort to make amends. read more

Stay away from this shop they don't care about you or your vehicle. They only want to try and upsell you parts that are not necessary. Not a very professional shop. read more
