If I could give zero stars I would specifically for the manager Sterling. I would give the nice woman at the front 10 stars. They sent me out in an unsafe situation with brake rotors they " supposedly" fixed. I took my vehicle to Auburn Starters and Generators and they finally fixed the situation. The EXPERTS at Auburn Starters let me know that Pep Boys had indeed NOT fixed the rotor situation. When I called Sterling to talk about this he YELLED at me. I cannot speak to their service. They never worked on my vehicle. I took my vehicle there on a Saturday morning and was told they would get to my car and have it ready by 5:00. I called at 2:00 and was told it would be the next vehicle into the shop. I got there to pick it up at 5:00 and they had not taken it into the shop. We were lied to twice. I would not recommend taking my vehicle there if communication and integrity mean anything to you. read more

The guys here did a great job wth getting me in quick for an oil change. I was in the area to escape hurricane Irma in Florida. Thankfully, I walked right in and they had my oil changed and checked all other liquids and topped off my washer fluid in an hour. Friendly staff here and struck up a conversation about my Star Wars sleeve. The only problem they forgot to do was my change oil light came on the next day because they forgot to switch something off after the oil was changed. No big deal, by I had already left the state to head back to Florida when it popped on the next day. I don't trust any other place to do work in my car. Pep Boys has taken care of every vehicle in each state I've lived since 2002. read more

spoke with rep on the phone in the Opelika office . I was buying a car from Carvana and needed to get a Diagnostic check preformed. I explained why and what kind of car it was , he said no problem we will be able to take care of it . Took off my job , came to Opelika to get m service and the lady said that Eddie was over booked . I brought my Traverse to Pep Boys approximately 6 times to get my A/C repaired. I have brought in my truck every single month since April 2023 for the same thing. They happily took my $1200 and did not fix a freaking thing. Had to go somewhere else who told me I had a leak and this is what Pep Boys said they fixed. This is the worst Pepboys in the whole USA. So-called manager ( Connie ) is rude and speaks down to customers. Doesn't address customer concerns or listen to what they believe is wrong with the car. Loves to tell customers that " she has sold car parts for 30 years so she knows it all. Had to have my car towed 3x's and problems were never addressed. Finally went to another well known and trusted auto repair company and everything was fixed in 1 day.... because of her and her so-called " mechanic " it cost me over $2000.00 to get my car fixed. Met other customers who told me the exact same time happened to them. No wonder why they have such a HUGE turnover of management and employees....NEVER NEVER NEVER going back and please don't anyone else go there....company should reimburse me everything for my troubles and more.... and fire everyone there and close that place forever...defective battery that was still under warranty....that place is not friendly to senior customers and women customers and everyday customers who need honest reliable work done on their cars...and not charged an arm and a leg or something else done to their cars so they have to keep coming back and paying more money for problems that didn't exist beforehand....THIS IS A SCAM YOU FOR EVERY LAST DOLLAR YOU HAVE ....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEVER NEVER EVER GO THERE.........I had to select a rating for them but there aren't any minus zero stars or ratings to choose from read more

Terrible service. I had an 11:00am appointment for an oil change and it took them 2 hours to do it. When I asked the front lady about it her only explanation was well some appointments take longer than others. There was no apology or anything. Plus, most places will check your tire pressure etc. and they did not do any of it. My tire pressure light was still on when I got back in the car. Don't go here unless you want unfriendly and terrible service. read more
