I rented a car for a long drive from Austin TX to West Palm Beach and back. Stopped in Robertsdale to visit an old friend. My lower exhaust heat shield had been dragging so I pulled it off the night before. It came off so easily that it made me think that someone tampered with it along my trip. I had called a shop the night before and asked about the repair and was quoted about $45 for labor. While visiting Robertsdale, I made a two calls. The manager at Pepboys said to come in and he would take a look. John greeted me when I walked in. He was busy with a customer and said he would be right with me. He asked for the key and pulled it into the bay. About 15 minutes later, he handed me back my key and said you're all set. I was a little shocked! This was by far the best treatment I have ever experienced at a repair shop. There was no charge for the repair. I am sure that it was not just the small town vibes but this shop has to be the most efficient, honest, trustworthy auto repair company in the whole country. Thanks John... On Wednesday July 1st I had an appt to have my oil changed at this location. The appt went well and no problems. On the Friday after, my husband noticed a leak under the car and verified it was oil. I then called the store at about 430 pm and the phone rang rather a number of times and no answer. I figured it was a Friday before the 4th and that they had just closed early. I needed this looked at so I called the store in Daphne Al and someone answered and had mentioned he just talked to someone at the robertsdale location. I then told him what we noticed on the car and he suggested we bring it in to have it looked at. We were told that something was loose and that our oil filter was faulty. Plus the entire time I was there he was talking to himself about how he's the only person doing anything and he's tired of doing everyone else's job. He's sitting in a chair behind the desk. These guys are great and super accommodating.. however if this was a review for my very first visit.they would have gotten a 1 star .. I brought my car to them with a flat tire , they never have the tire I need even to this day so they have to order it which is fine and i understand because my car has low profile tires ..with that being said .the first time I went here ,one of the mechanics was super rude and kept complaining and mouthing off about how painful it was to put the tire on and blah blah blah .. believe me I get it ,you don't have to be rude about it ,if I had known what type of tires the car had when I bought it ,I would have got them replaced before I bought it ..my tires are a pain in the butt,I get it ...anyway I told I'm guessing a manager about it and I assume they fired the guy because I never saw him again ...fast forward to nowadays (been going here for about 5 years now) and the have always been super helpful and nice and I don't feel like I have to apologize everytime I bring them my car which is nice .. a great people working here lately ... Made an appointment for a routine tune up. Took my 2006 Nissan Exterra in in the morning and was told 1 hour. My husband started to wait then was told 2.5 hours. We decided to pick it up after hours and prepaid. Went to pick it up and had no brakes. Put it drive and it lunged forward. I had to throw it in park. If I had hit the accelerator, I'd gone through their plate glass window. I left keys and a not so nice note. We had to call them in the morning and they said they'd look at it. They called later and said they forgot to replace the vacuum hose to the brake booster, sorry. Then we were told it needed new cam sensors. Went to pick it up and it rattled and shook when I put it in gear. I went back in the store and Justin told me we were told it needed a cam sensor, sorry again. I said they are never touching my car again. I had a brand new transmission put in a few years ago and my car would barely switch gears. It might be the cam sensors now, but I wasn't leaving it there. If I had pulled out in traffic with no brakes, they'd be looking at a lawsuit right now. read more

"The Boys" have been my mechanics ever since opening in Robertsdale and I have never had a complaint. Tires are just the tip of the iceberg with these guys, as they will take care of almost anything besides exhaust. Through a handful of cars over the years, they have always taken care of me promptly and (price-wise) reasonably. They have done "while you wait" service for me many times (not just oil changes either) as well as more involved work that required leaving my vehicle there. The mechanics are always friendly and helpful and management is quick to support that feeling. I am a notorious tightwad and tend to think I can find parts much cheaper than those that are offered and the guys have no problem with that. So I bring in my parts bought online and they install everything and warrant their work. I can safely recommend this location (and several others) without reservation! read more

We have been taking our business to the PepBoys in Robertsdale for several years! We paid A lot of money between new tires, oil changes to getting things fixed on our Truck and cars. They were very nice and trustworthy years ago. But Now with new people running it the work and personality have changed for the Worse!! They are rude and not helpful!! My family took my dads truck up to them to check on an alternator and the man in office gave a high price and said they have to charge their prices to make money! They are a Business and wouldn't even charge up the battery so she could get back home. She ended up going to O'Rileys in Loxley where they were happy to charge it for her. We WILL NOT go back to PepBoys in Robertsdale with our vehicars and I will be sharing this experience with my family, friends and Medical Coworker. If there were negative numbers it would be a lot lower then a one!! read more

Terrible experience. The technician did not put my tires on correctly. If that wasn't enough the tech stripped the lug nuts when he was putting them on. I contacted customer relations over a week ago and have not heard back from them. Stay away from Pep Boys in Robertsdale. read more

I am really missing this location. Great, helpful, and considerate. My car came in for tires, and died after leaving the lot. The mechanic came down the block to look at the car for me, and tired to get it running for me. It wouldn't start so he suggested a tow company. (We should have taken the advice and not roadside assistance. Took almost 3 hours to get a tow one block) The mechanics knew I needed to leave Alabama to go back to New Orleans, and they got my baby running asap. In town from Houston Texas heading home and hit some debris in road which caused the plastic under carriage to come down and was dragging on ground. Thank God I saw this shop as I could not go any further. It took them a little bit to get to me but they were able to give me a temporary fix and aired up my tires, at no charge!
