Like many, you can be skeptical of someone offering mechanical services to your car, especially when you hear bad reviews of established shops (ie Jiffy Lube etc) That said, I highly recommend Adam. By exchanging a couple of emails with him about my vehicle, Adam shows he knows what he is talking about and has the skills to fix my car's issues. On top of that, he was willing to use what parts I wanted, extremely flexible on the schedule (he comes to you!!) and ultimately, saved me over half of what the dealer and another independent shop quoted. Called Adam and he called back. I made an appointment after a 5 minute talk. I'm now 75 and have about given up doing my own work. Adam is fast, thorough and has skills way beyond the repair and replace people who ply their trade on craigslist. I hired Adam on two different occasions. He failed to make the proper repair the first time for the first occasion. He did show back up the same day and helped fix the job properly. The second time I hired him, he rushed through the job, and made several mistakes that even a novice mechanic should know better than to make. They included not using Teflon tape on metal to metal connections and leaving a hose installed outside of the hose clamp. I confronted Adam about the issues, but he wanted to leave my car stranded for two weeks before he would come bAck to fix his mistakes. This is in spite of the fact that I was willing to help him fix his mistakes! His work is extremely sloppy. He has no certifications.
