    Punctured tire Pep Boys put back on my car.

    I'm never going back to this Pep Boy's. Bad service is one thing, but endangering someone's life while driving takes it to a whole new level. The story is: I went today to get new tires. The mechanic told me $2700 of repairs to the axle would be needed. I've been to this Pep Boys twice in the past 10 months, once at the beginning of this month for an oil change, and then in December 2024 to do many repairs. After my visit in December 2024, I was told everything checks out. At my oil change at the beginning of this month, I was told again that everything checks out. Meanwhile I've been asking them why I've been hearing a squeaking sound every time I turn my wheels when I drive, and these $2700 in repairs are part of the reason why. I asked why these inspections were not occurring at last month's oil change and when my car was literally taken apart to be repaired in December. All the manager kept saying was, "I don't know, I wasn't there." Yes, I did get upset and frustrated--I said why was I being lied to, was I not being given accurate service because I'm female, I asked repeatedly why I wasn't given the full inspections each time. And then the manager printed out December 2024's list of repairs made and said that I had been told about the addition repairs needed that he advised today would cost $2700. I really was not told this! I took out a loan to pay for the $3000 in car repairs I had back in December 2024, during which I was never told about the $2700 additional repairs needed. I'm not sure if this print out the manager gave me was thus fabricated. I told him to put all the old tires back on the car, and he went ahead and put the new ones on and tried to charge me for them. I truly do wish all that occurred during this appointment was getting new tires, paying for them, and driving off. I probably would have come back to this Pep Boys if getting tires was all that I came here to do, rather than be gaslit by these people on whether or not I know which repairs have been advised on my car in the past. I've wondered in the past if they're intentionally breaking things just to get me to come back and have them repaired with them. Well, maybe now I have my answer: I've included a picture of my back left tire, which is one of my old tires that I told them to place back on my car. I did not arrive to Pep Boys with bad tires. None of my tires were flat before I went to Pep Boys. These people literally punctured one of my old tires before putting them all back on. They looked fine when I started driving, but as soon as I got on the main road, my car started shaking. I pull over and I see that this tire is now flat. This is dangerous! I've never had a repair shop be this petty and actively seek to endanger a customer while driving by intentionally damaging something on the car. If all the "big men" in there wanted to scare me to "get back at me" for pointing out their shoddy repair practices, because they see a woman customer they can't take seriously, well congratulations, they succeeded. I'm never going back to this Pep Boys, and I also don't recommend any other women customers go here either, because clearly if they think you're being a problem, they're going to get back at you and endanger you in the process.

    Very hesitant to visit here from browsing the reviews. However, I purchased all my tires from Pep Boys previously, and wanted to take advantage of complimentary rotation and balance. Made an appointment online, and they were waiting for me when I arrived. Found out I had a piece of metal in my tire that could not repaired, so I would need to completely replace the tire. When I asked to see the damaged tire, Adam rolled it in for me to see. The service was timely and Adam made it fun. I am also impressed with the customer waiting area. It's nice to finally see an auto shop that invests in the comfort of the customers. Really great seating area with complimentary Green Mountain coffee. Yes, they accept Apple Pay.

    have been going to this store since before I was old enough to drive with my parents, I have never been to a place of business with such poor of customer service, so I made an appointment yesterday for today because last night (8/16/2021) I got a flat tire.I needed my new (4) Michelin pilot sport all seasons tires To be installed at 6 o'clock due to me working late and having to be at work before 8 o'clock in the morning, so only real time I have (during the work week) is after 5. So I set the appointment for 6 knowing this would fit my work schedule, so I get a call about 10 o'clock in the morning from PAUL "a service writer" that was VERY VERY RUDE. Stated that time will not work for them and I will need to reschedule. Remember I have spare tire and my vehicle is AWD and I can only drive on my spare temporary, so I got upset with PAUL and asked him what I'm supposed to do with my vehicle until then he stated he doesn't know but they can't complete my request in store today because they close an hour after and don't want to stay late to complete my service. I called the corporate number and put in a complaint, the District manager called me back and was very understanding, he stated he would make sure they stay as late as I need them to get the job done. As I was on the phone with the District manager the Store manager (Larry) called me and left a Voicemail. Stated " "Hey it's Larry with Pep Boys I did keep somebody late today, we need you here exactly at 6 o'clock so we can get the four tires put on only. I will get you out here by seven hopefully".......So I got to the Pepboys 30 to 40 mins Before my appointment so they could not blame me for being late, when I walked in and asked if the person I was talking to was (Paul) due to the person upfront not having a Name tag on he stated he was not and he would get (Paul) I review I didn't want to work with Paul and was fine working with him (Jose). I gave Jose my name and he made a comment "your the guy with the appointment at 6pm for 4 tires" he proceeded to state if it was him he would have made the appointment for the weekend because they always cancel appointment's for tires installs if it's after 5pm. I review I had already talked to the District manager and was told they are not supposed to turn customer away, Jose started arguing with me about how I was wrong and they have always done that, I went over with Jose that if he was me and worked til 5 and had an flat on the Hwy and made this appointment for the next day in the pretence that, my issue would be addressed as a customer Hassle free and was not how would he feel. Jose came back at me with I'm not you and would know better, I stated well with the way he is speaking to me in the tone and the rudeness I am not sure if I feel comfortable doing my service there if this is how they talk to customers at this location. I reviewed in all the customers service jobs I would not be able to get away with speaking to paying customers this way, Jose stated he is DONE talking (yelling at me) and he is going outside, mind you he had not even written me up or took my keys to get vehicle information yet, but was fighting with me about how I shouldn't have made that appointment for that time. So Jose goes outside (into the bay) and calls his BOSS (Larry) and lies, state I was cursing and being disrespectful to him and comes back in to the store and hands me the store phone and state the, Store manager wants to talk to me, I get on the phone and the store manger states (this call is recorded)...."you will not talk to my employees with profanity and you can leave, Larry stated they will get my car done as FAST AS POSSIBLE AND SEND ME IN MY WAY. Larry hangs up the phone and after I reviewed I didn't not curse once and reviewed what I said to Jose (PAUL AND JOSE were chuckling while Larry in on the phone with me) So Larry ends the call and Jose stated I need your keys with a smile/smirk on his face. So I left very uncomfortable and went to Tire Plus and they did it no problem with no appointment!

    rude and short staffed. maybe the guy was having a bad day but he was rude. told me a plug would be 33$ and take 2 hours

I bought a used one and then brought it in to Honest-1 Auto for an inspection to see if there was anything major wrong with it. The first person I dealt with was Willie Vazquez, the General Manager. I spoke to him over the phone, he got me in right away. I should've brought the car in before I purchased it, luckily there wasn't anything majorly wrong with it but I didn't know that. If Willie were dishonest, he could've said there was something wrong with it and I probably would've gone ahead and paid to have it 'fixed' because I would not have known any better. I appreciate his honesty. I also met George Maajoun the Service Advisor. He's straightforward with prices and cost of labor etc. I've never gotten blindsided by a last minute extra charge or "added fees". My repairs always cost exactly what George tells me they will cost. I appreciate that. It's hard to budget for car repairs when the shop you're dealing with keeps upping the cost, that won't happen to you here. This shop is the most honest one I've ever been to! An honest auto repair shop is like a 'Rare White Elk', they exist but the chances of ever encountering one are slim. Happy to report you have a 'Rare White Elk' here in Carrollwood! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Keep in mind I just put new tire on my car a year ago and I mainly work from home. I questioned the guy on why he recommended new tires when I literally got them a year ago... he said the tread was bad. I left and went to a tire shop. They said my tires are great and I just needed an alignment done and to tighten lug nuts. Never had a problem since. I went there a second time( fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me), out of desperation. My car AC stopped working and needed someone to take a look. They looked at it and quoted me a couple grand to fix it .... (Which is close to the full value of my car). I went to a different mechanic , and explained my situation. He looked at the car and kept it overnight. Minor leak that was fixed, and I was out of there for $200. "Honest" 1 wanted me to get a new compressor and evaporator and more. Then whe I asked a breakdown of how much labor costs per hour, he said it varies.... I've never herd that before. I also had a loose bolt that connects the sway bar to the suspension I asked them to tighten bc of a noise and they said that wasn't it. I went home and tightened it myself and the noise was gone. I should have trusted my gut and never went back after the first experience but I usually don't judge a place with one visit. This time I wish I had. I would not recommend this place. Please do your research better than I did when picking a place to service your car.
