let me start by saying that I wouldn't of even given this place 1 star but Yelp made me. So, my boyfriend just got a jeep from a family member who we trust and needed it inspected immediately. We have a shop but they couldn't do it in enough time so someone told us to use Pepboys. Well, this all started yesterday when I went online to look to see if they have appointments and they did... the rest of Saturday afternoon into the evening was open, and there was the entire day of Sunday open. So we just drove over. well, the man at the counter told my boyfriend that he could not do it until Tuesday at the earliest, so he left. I said that that wasn't true since their website had openings all weekend! so, this morning, he went onto their website and sure enough- OPENINGS! so, he booked one for 1pm. Just to be sure, he called and asked to speak to the manager. The manager said that they were open to appointments and couldn't give my boyfriend an explanation as to why he was turned away yesterday. so he went over at 12:40 ( this is where I should of went along), and they took his jeep in at 12:50. 3 HOURS LATER- 3 hours!! inspections do not take that long, especially when their entire afternoon was OPEN! how do i know this? my uncle has been a mechanic at a shop all of his life, and my boyfriend used to work there! so, 3 hours later, he is told that he got failed! he apparently has a very small exhaust leak (even though, there was just $3k in work done to the jeep), and they could not fix it! what?! THEY ARE MECHANICS, RIGHT?! LIKE.... THEY ARE IN A GARAGE, YES?! there are videos on youtube on how to fix an exhaust leak by YOURSELF in 5 minutes!!!! how can a mechanic not fix it?! so, this is where it gets better.... this a**hole mechanic also fails him for his wipers... WIPERS!! this is where I now think the mechanic is just being a jerk! when I had MY car inspected, my wipers needed to be replaced and my mechanic just told me and that was that! so. my boyfriend gets his emissions sticker... for $61. inspection and emissions is $61... but he just paid $61 just for the ONE STICKER! so. he's all annoyed since he just sat there for 3 hours, another day closer to not being able to drive his car because his stickers run out soon... that part is our fault, yes? but like i said earlier, something so simple turned into a headache...after all this work that was done not that long ago. the best part is though, my boyfriend speaks to the manager, and out of the managers mouth, he says, "The exhaust leak is NO BIG DEAL, it will be okay for at least another 3 years without giving you an issue!!!". so then my boyfriend says, "so then why did i get failed?"... the manager says. "well, that's the mechanic's choice." so my boyfriend left with ONE sticker... now we will have to go to another garage that actually has REAL mechanics that can give us REAL service and then re-pay for inspection!!! I emailed the company a nasty little email, and I will be sure to REVIEW places before using their crappy services! I will also steer people clear from insanely stupid places like this! CRAP CRAP CRAP! they should hire people who actually want to work... lazy pieces of crap. read more

Watch out for these guys. I needed a flat repaired, gave them my cell#, they never called. When I called two days later, they said it was ready. I paid them, took it home, and it went flat again. Took it back, left it overnight again, again after leaving my cell # twice, no phone call. When I called they said they couldn't get the wheel off the truck the first time! They didn't do anything but still charged me for a flat repair and balance. Never again! I won't be going back there for anything. read more

This company has no regard for the costumer and their time. I came in for a simple battery test. Being the second time I've come here, I knew they normally had a long wait time. However, I was shocked when I asked for a wait time and the man behind the counter hesitated to even give me an estimated amount of time. Eventually I got it out of him that my wait time would be around an hour to an hour and a half. Currently, I'm sitting in the waiting room pushing into my third hour. Not to mention the way I was spoken to at the counter. I was spoken down to as if I weren't qualified to be on the other side of the counter and asking for help. If I'm paying money for this service, I expect to be treated as such. read more

I went into the Warminster Pepboys store on Saturday, checked to make sure they had the tires I needed in stock, and made an appointment to have them put on the next day at 11 AM. I only needed two tires replaced, not all four, no alignment, etc. Dropped my wife's car off before 11 AM the next day, told the service desk we would be back after seeing a movie to pick up the car. Came back two hours later, and the work had not even been started. Manager gave some lame excuse about other folks waiting, and they were going to bring my car in next to get the job done, and we could just wait until completed. I demanded my keys back and am taking my business elsewhere. You would think, if I made an appointment the day before, got my car there before my appointment time, and gave them plenty of time to put two new tires on, they could have done it in two hours or less. My time is valuable too, folks. Pep Boys auto service center will NEVER get my business again. Period. read more

I was very disappointed when I brought my car here for an oil change. I was drawn in by a ten dollar off coupon though I had been warned of poor service by friends. For starters the oil change took an hour and a half of my time and there was no attempt to expedite the process when I had made it clear I was waiting there and on my way to work. I know they can't do miracles and change oil in 10 minutes but an hour and a half is unacceptable. Especially since much of this time was spent on the write up and cashing out. Second, I was asked mid appointment if I wanted my air filter changed as it was getting dirty. That's fine i understand you are a business and even if it was not quite ready for a change you can ask. And I agreed to it since its probably almost due and I figure get it done rather than worrying about it later, fully knowing I could do it cheaper by myself. The problem is the mechanic told me 13 dollars and then it turned out to be 20. When I mention it to the guy ringing me up just to get the point across that I was lied to by your mechanic the guy mumbles under his breadth, "that's okay you'll save money on gas" Clearly he missed the point. Don't lie to your customers! Now say your sorry and correct your mechanic. Finally, the mechanic kindly evened out the tire pressure, to 40 psi on each tire. Problem with this kind service is that the recommended tire pressure is 30!! you can't read the inside of the door??? Very disappointed. First and last time for me. I will not go back to pep boys for service. -oh and finally, i was warned by a coworker after venting that I should check that the air filter was installed in the right direction as he had an experience at Pep boys where the filter was put in backwards. read more

Be sure to review your bill before checkout!!! Went in to have a serpentine belt changed and the tensioner pulley was found to be the cause of the belt squeaking. Initially the labor for the belt change was .7 hours. When the tensioner was found to be the issue an additional 1 hour labor was added to the bill. I questioned the labor stating that to replace the pulley, replacing the belt shouldn't be additional time. I was told that it is additional work & the labor charge was valid. For what it's worth the job was completed in less than one hour. That's not the reason for this review. When paying the bill, there were two charges added - an extended warranty ($29.00) and a shop fee ($31.15). Ultimately, I had both removed; however, how can a shop justify $31.15 (10%) shop supplies to change a tensioner pulley and belt??? Even worse is that in small print on the desk states that a shop fee of 7.5% up to $35.00 may be added to your bill. Last time I checked 7.5% of $312 (labor & material) is $23.38. read more

Scheduled an oil change on line. Chose the special they had advertised for 49.99 for their rewards customers. The oil change included up to 5 quarts of synthetic oil and oil filter. The only fine print on the page was about shop materials and extra time and costs for hybrid and electric vehicles. When I arrived I was told that since I have a Volvo it would be more expensive. I needed an extra quart of oil and the service writer said that the oil filter included with the special wouldn't work with my vehicle. Uhhhhh it said nothing about only one model of filter being used for the special. One model of oil filter? You should advertise that the oil change is only for one model of car. Now the oil filter my vehicle uses is just a cartridge. It has no metal housing like the standard spin ons used on most vehicle. Sooo its typically fairly inexpensive. He quoted me $90 for the service. Then after I laughed at him he said it would be $20 off making it $70. Which is still $20 more than it should have been. One extra quart of oil is not $20. I have spent a lot of money at this store in the past. I used to be a service writer here and continued to use this location after I left. I actually used to bring our fleet vehicles here. Now that none of the original techs are here and they chew through writers due to corporate decisions &policies this store is terrible. I will no longer be spending my hard earned money here. I went to the dealer instead and spent $330 and was out under 2hrs and they washed the car for me. The oil change was only $60 but I had them do a few other things since I was here and leaving for the poconos for the weekend. So Pepboys lost more than an oil change by screwing around with their pricing. read more

Three out of four times I came for servicing (oil change, tire replacement, and inspection) I had an early morning appointment and was told they probably couldn't get the job done....it got done, but took several hours. Today, I went in for oil change (no appointment) ready to drop my car off for the day and was told (after waiting in line for 25 min) that there were no available appointments for 3 days. This location clearly can't handle basic servicing, so they surly won't have to worry about my car anymore. read more

Bradley Cooper is a very good mechanic he will tell you stuff in fully confident when he tell you about your car what it needed. He will give up his lunch break to help the customer so they can go something they need to do. he have lots of ideas to help the company to be better. read more

Got my car tuned up at this shop. They did a shody job that blew up 3 catalytic converters and cost me $3700 to get it fixed. The shop that repaired my car also told me that things like brake fluid change that I was charged for was not done. And I was also charge for a cabin air filter that does not even go in my car. I've never brought my car here, but I've taken my mom's car here for her and they've always done a good enough job. Pep Boys generally has a bad reputation, and two out of the four I've been to deserve that reputation. Warminster doesn't. read more

Do not go here. I was the 2nd person there in the morning and I booked an appointment a week prior. I waited 3 hours for something to get services that takes 30 minutes to do. After I waited 3 hours I ask the employee for an update and he tells me that they ran into issues because the mechanic got held up with other cars. Then he tells me that it can't be done until the following day. The service was never complete and will never be going there ever again and I suggest you don't either. read more

This is the 2nd time I have gone in there to have a tire replaced with TERRIBLE service.... yesterday my daughter went there with a nail in her tire and was told it would be 2 hours before they could plug it.... 20 minutes later my husband went up, bought a patch and plugged it himself... while he was there a gentleman pulled up needing his tire patched as well and someone came right out and patched his tire, he did not have to wait at all! Don't go in there if you are a young person or female.... what a disgrace! read more
