This place has good food! Am always pleased when I visit. First time trying the nachos and they did not disappoint! You know it's good when there is so much yummy toppings that you can't even see the chips lol. I also tried the sweet corn tamales which were very good.

Drove thru Estacada on the way to Mount Hood and stopped for lunch at Pepes taco truck. I had a gordita with fried pork. Delicious! The corn Gordita was fried perfectly and not greasy, the pork was soooooo good. Some passionfruit lemonade with it and I was very happy!!! We also had a spicy pork Gordita and liked that one too. The Gorditas are big, one was definitely enough to fill me up. Food was fast, hot and fresh and the lady taking our order was super efficient but nice at the same time. I will definitely stop there again when I am in the area.

My general consensus is that I would not go out of my way to eat at this food cart again but I wouldn't mind having it! Pretty standard Mexican food. I wasn't really blown away by the meat/rice/cheese/beans ratio in my burrito. It had sour cream coming out the back, it reminded me of a Taco Bell burrito to be honest. $20 for a burrito and three tacos. I'd say that's a deal for two people!

Great authentic and fast Mexican food in a rural area. I wish they used Mexican cheese instead of Costco cheese though

Super welcoming small-town vibe, quick service, and everything tasted homemade. Portions were generous for the price. Definitely coming back ! We decided it would be a good idea to fill our tummies with some lunch before getting to camp and having to set everything up. The lady running it is pretty friendly, though she was out of quite a lot of things on the menu sadly (I couldn't get the sweet potato fries or the flavor of sauce I wanted... jeez). Pricing was reasonable, especially for canned soda and bottled water (just a buck!). I noticed as she was preparing that the Mac n cheese was just frozen Stoffers... lol. And the sauces are just Cattlemen's, but on the menu they've been "rebranded" as the food truck's own thing. Sorta lame/lazy but honestly I can't hate too much on her for that; the world is tough right now, so if she can just repackage yummy prepared food for others and make a decent living, more power to her. Everything tasted good ultimately. The wait time for preparation was acceptable. But my pulled pork sandwich was decidedly lukewarm. Dunno why. Could've used a lot more cabbage. There were a couple of tables with umbrellas around outdoors to lounge and eat, which was nice. The owner even wandered over while we were eating to ask how everything was.

Seems like every restaurant on the Oregon Coast claims to have the "best" fish and chips (or clam…read morechowder), but they can't ALL be the best. I've tried many plates of fish and chips. Some good, a few very good, many meh. Squatchsami? Their fish and chips were GREAT!!! OUTSTANDING!!! I've been wanting to try this place with the funny name, and was told it had turned from a food truck to a brick and morter restaurant, so that felt like a good sign. We went several days ago but got there too late as we forgot to check their hours before going, so today I tried again, earlier in the day. Cute place, nice ambience, I really appreciated the indoor tables (of varying sizes) since I accidentally left my hoodie at home. They also had seats to use if the line was long. Checked out the menu and placed my order for 2 halibut with sea salt fries plus a soda. WOW. I started with the fries to allow the fish to cool off a bit. First bite of fries? PERFECTLY cooked, tasty shoestring fries. Not the fat or soggy fries everyone else at the coast serves, but nice crunchy, tasty fries. Exactly what I had been craving. Will absolutly try the resomary fries next time. I ate every one. Then I tried the fish. YOWZA - WOW. Simply wonderful. I can't describe how light the batter was. It was also super crunchy and very tasty. The fish was perfectly cooked, not under or over done. I ate every little crumb, almost not believing how good the meal was. Finally, I had found the best fish and chips. The price was very reasonable. Service was quite friendly, and two different employees checked on me during my time there to ask if I needed anything. The menu was limited and simple. I felt like they do a few things so they can do them well. It's the In-N-Out (burger) philosophy - you can't be good at everything so be great at a few things. It totally works. Can't wait to bring my husband and friends back. Thank you!!!

After asking for a sample of the clam chowder which he should have offered after I asked how thin of a consistency it was. Didn't ask if my order was to-go, so he was miffed when I asked him to put it on a container. The Tidal Boar'd oysters were so salty, they were almost inedible. I only ate them , because they were $4 each. They were beautiful, but akin to a salt lick. I don't know if that was the trout roe, or what. Needed way less salt, more acidity, and the heat wasn't there at all. Visual stunning, but horrendously salty. The 3 pc rockfish was pretty good. Clean, , fresh, and flakey. Seasoned well. Good fries, too. The clam chowder was different. Potatoes cooked through, full of flavor. All that for $42+tip. Might be back, if the server from yesterday isn't there. Might not be back at all, too many places to get the same thing with way better service. Never informed we ordering that I wouldn't be able to take the oysters to go. Don't know if that's posted. Good fish, indifferent service. Nary a thank you , whatsoever. Sucky service.
