The service was nice and everyone was welcoming. I love how everything from their decorations to tables and chairs were all hand painted. We got pescado frito, carne asada, and molcajete mexicano and they were all 10/10! The meat quality was very good and with the mocajete mexicano you get all kinds of meat so you get to try everything and it's served with rice beans and tortilla. You could definitely share this between two people. The birthday celebration here was also very fun and memorable so highly recommend for any special occasion.

Delicious tacos and margaritas. They even have mezcal drinks which I absolutely love. The staff was also kind enough to substitute mezcal into drinks that otherwise typically have tequila in it for me. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is also almost always packed which shows how much the locals enjoy this place. Food and drinks are a bit on the pricier end, but the proportions help justify it. I have, and will be back plenty times more!

I went there last week to met my friend around that area and came to this place for order togo for my husband., during wait for Togo order, i had a drink Margarita $10 for happy hour. I love the place the have a patio seating for me&my dog to relax and enjoy the sun. The waitress who took my order was very nice to me&my dog, she came to checked on me a few times, that's very nice and excellent service. And the Burrito which i order for my husband was yummy, good quality. I recommend this place. If i have a chance to go that area again, i'll go back for sure:)

The food is always good here and the customer service is amazing. Would recommend for some Mexican American food! Definitely not authentic but still good!

Molcajete Mexicano. Basically a supreme fajita setup, not a bad thing. All of the meats.

We were at New Season and wanted to try dinner nearby and saw this place. Pretty crowded on a Sunday night. Vibrant decor and fun ambiance. I got the Molcajete Mexicano. Basically a supreme fajita setup, not a bad thing. All of the meats. Carne asada, shrimp, chicken, chorizo. A jalapeno (full spicy), onions, cactus, Mexican cheese and more. I thought it was pretty solid. Very nice grilled meats in the stone bowl. Carnitas tacos were tender and moist, well received by wife. Drinks were way too sweet. I got the mezcal tamarind drink and wife got a fancy margarita. Kid / family friendly. Solid, nice setup. I lived in Texas for 5 years, so you can say I'm a little picky. I wanted to find reasons to say less than 4, but can't really. So we'll have to come back, lol.

My wife and I are restaurant managers, and can honestly tell you that this place hit on all cylinders! Great first impression when we walked in! Greated by an older gentleman that was genuinely interested and very attentive. The menu was great with very appealing dishes. Our server was amazing and very friendly and attentive! I think her name was Daniella! Overall, very good service and good! Will be back!

The food at this location is just not anywhere near as good as it is at the Vancouver location. While service is prompt and attentive, it was very disappointing that the chips are only served with salsa, and not salsa and bean dip like the Vancouver location serves. I got my favorite (pork carnitas chimichanga, wet style), and there was a LOT of gristle and fat in it. I've never experienced that at the Vancouver location. We also got the taquitos appetizer, and it was just not as flavorful as the Vancouver location. I was also excited to see various aquas frescas available, but they were out of both varieties I and my dining companion wanted. They were also out of my dining companion's first entree choice, so that was another disappointment. The ambiance is great. Very colorful and bright, open and inviting. I hope that these issues can be straightened out, and that this location reaches the same outstanding level as the Vancouver location.

My goodness this place is wonderful. Cute and colorful Decor... love it! I had myself the Kearny Asada plate that comes with refried beans and rice. Of course I had to add that delicious spicy jalapeño margarita. Yum! The margaritas came out fast, and the food was fairly prompt as well. The grilled Carne Asada was so delicious, tender and season perfectly. The rice and beans were yummy. I would say, the only downside was the corn tortillas are not freshly made. Oh well! The staff is exceptional and there's no issues with parking outside. There is no bar/lounge but there is talks about taking over the space next-door and expanding. I will definitely be back!

    Minced Fish Ceviche $17.95

It was our first time having dinner here. 5/5 for ambiance. We love the painted chairs and tables. They are so pretty and vibrant in color, instantly boosting your happy mood as soon as you walk into the door. 5/5 for service. The super attentive server checked in with us frequently throughout the busy Saturday night dinner hours. They were between 80% and 90% capacity, though the bar was empty. 3.5/5 for food. Our total dinner was $68.22. -Zero Proof Tamarindo, $5.77: It was lighter in tamarindo base and a bit too sweet for my taste. -Fish Ceviche, $17.95: It is lime-based and okay in taste. I was disappointed the fish was mined instead of cubed. It didn't come with any chips. There was too much-chopped tomato, which overpowered the minced fish. -Combo 3, $19.50: You can pick any three items and protein. We got one chicken taco, one chicken tamale, and one pork tamale. The tamales were wrapped in corn hush. There was not much masa on the tamales and not much flavor on either chicken or pork. My husband loved the chicken taco and said he would order just the taco next time. -Comala Steak, $25: This was the night's winner. My husband and I both enjoyed it. It was cooked just right and served on a sizzling hot plate. We didn't care much for the pickles, onion, and sauce that came with it. My husband said he would definitely come back here with me since it's only 4 miles one way from where we live. He also said he would order the taco and Comala Steak again because he liked them tonight. I would return to check out other items on the menu but would not reorder what I had tonight (virgin tamarindo, fish ceviche, chicken, and pork tamales). My husband said the restroom was clean and well-supplied. I did not check out the lady's restroom.

I've had the nachos, green and red enchiladas , birria taquitos on separate occasions and they've all been good. Rice has been soft and beans actually have flavor. Good blended Margaritas and service from what I have experienced.

Very good and worth the drive from Oregon City! Attentive service. Chips & salsa delivered promptly. Drink order in right away. My plan was to enjoy taco Tuesday, but there were too many good things on the menu! Ended up with a two-item combo - chili relleno (one of the best I've ever had with a roasted chili!) & birria enchilada (lots of delicious meat!). Maybe next time I'll get tacos...

We chose it because they stayed open later and we were hungry. I thought my wife's two enchilada's were over-priced for what she got. She liked them, but they really aren't all that big. So I lowered my rating by a star. My Burrito Costita Especial was great, and massive. Well worth the price. Stuffed full with some very tasty carne asada. The sauce was good but too mild for my liking. they gave me some of their house hot sauce and warned me it was extremely hot. I ended up smothering the burrito with it and found it closer to medium spicy, but made the burrito excellent. I really enjoyed it and had to bring some home with me it was such a full meal. At least for us we both found the lower rating for the restaurant to me a surprise. But then it is clear you might need to try various offerings and find one that fits your own taste - as I said, my wife found her enchiladas just fine where I would have been disappointed. One thing I did notice is in the past we were offered multiple baskets of chips and salsa. Last night it was one and that was it. Considering the size of the meal that probably was for the best.

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

Shoot. Last night I took my boyfriend here to celebrate a special event & we left so disappointed!…read moreWe got there at 7:15 & we were stuck there for over 2 hours! I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.

The tacos chilangos ($9.99 for 4) and breakfast burritos are easy to gravitate to, especially the double meat (bacon and ham).
