Best Mexican Food in Lake Oswego. Authentic street tacos, delicious burritos and refreshing horchata! Prices are reasonable, staff here is great. They've never let me down. My food orders are always correct and my food always tastes great. It's great for sharing or having a few meals for yourself.

Great Quesobirria plate with delicious dipping soup. Really quick and friendly service. Definitely worth the slight detour off the beaten path to get here. OMG, check it out.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Lake Oswego was this wonderful family and their team kicks out amazing Mexican. The other night, our dinner party decided on tacos and guacamole and I called at 4 PM and asked if there's anyway I can get 48 tacos by 5:30, let's do it was their answer. As I stepped into the restaurant, there was a line to order food. They could've told me no because the dinner crowd would've kept them plenty busy, but they accommodated us.. The best part of the experience was the food, generous portion, quality ingredients and amazing salsas.

This place has really great, decently priced and authentic Mexican food! I've been here multiple times already and always stop by when in the area..This time I got the Carnitas enchiladas which comes with 2 sides (I got double rice!) and it was only $14!! The enchiladas were very large and was enough for two meals so very worth it! The carnitas were cooked very well and were juicy and the rice was also very tasty and seasoned very well. Service was also great, I believe they are family owned and the employees are all very friendly. Ambiance was alright, it was a bit loud from the kitchen, since the restaurant isn't very big and there isn't much seating usually available, so I usually take it to go! I don't believe they have a website, so I usually call to place an order, and that always goes smoothly :))

Breakfast burritos with french fries, so good.

Who would have thought that one of Portland Metro's best Mexican spots is located in Lake Oswego. The Milanesa Torta was excellent. Crunchy bread, thin cut non-chewy beef, all veggies mix well, and ample size. Two of the breakfast burritos include french fries, a game changer. Eggs are soft the way I like 'em, the cheese is gooey. They offer the standard green and red salsas, but the flavor is a cut above. They also have a Habanero which packs some heat. The place is tiny, I recommend NOT visiting during weekday lunch hour. The parking lot can be a free for all zoo with all the big worker vehicles. Service is lightening efficient and friendly.

Cool place to hang out and relax in the bar. Good staff and friendly service. The tacos are very nice and the burrito was better!!! I had to cut the burrito in half it was so big. Cool place to eat and watch the walking traffic!

Really decent pricing for the large amount of food given. The food was super tasty, so I'll definitely go back when I want a little taco fix. The service was pretty fast as well.

Food was great, the staff were very friendly. It was a warm day so dining inside was a little warm because the sun was coming through the front but overall a great experience.

Authentic Mexican street food to go. Not a place to dine, great place to order ahead, pickup and take home.

As you enter the restaurant, to the left are high-top tables and seats around a fireplace. During nice weather, garage doors open to a covered atrium, where plenty of propane-powered heat lamps keep diners warm. Large west-facing windows and the garage doors give Jefe a bright indoor/outdoor feel. TVs in the bar typically are tuned to sporting events, but the TVs are muted, providing an option to casually catch the game while pretending to pay attention to your date or family. To the right are configurable booths and some tables, separated by a screen comprised of clear glass bottles attached to vertical wires. This design feature (pictured) serves the dual purpose of softly separating the dining spaces and also acting as an earthquake alarm. Head for the exit if you hear those bottles clanking together, perhaps taking time to pause at the bar to grab a margarita on your way out if the trembler is 4.0 or less on the Richter scale. The bar is full service, featuring a variety of margaritas and other craft cocktails. The margaritas are delicious, albeit modest in size. If you're looking for a fishbowl full of rotgut, this may not be the place for you. A bonus for connoisseurs of Mexican beer: Negra Modelo on tap! Jefe's menu is aptly described as Mexican comfort food. You will find well-executed standard fare, such as enchiladas, bowls, burritos, and tacos. Specialty items include a couple of my favorites: Pollo Saute (breaded chicken breast on poblano rice, with jalapenos, braised greens, and pickled onions) and Aji Amarillo Shrimp Enchiladas (shrimp, corn, cheese, and onions with a unique mole sauce). The best value is the Tacos: ten varieties with lots of options, including quantity, add-ons, and sides. A kid menu is offered for children 12 and under. Service is professional and friendly, and take-out/delivery is available as well.
