My friends and I chose to have lunch here because they have a play gym for younger children. (Think…read moreup to 6-7 years old.) It has a slide and a ball pit. The play gym area and the dining area around it were very clean. As I sat there for lunch, I saw a couple of different servers come by to clean and sweep after the children. There are a couple of four-top tables around the area, and we were seated at one. Our server, Mariarosa, was so sweet and on top of all we needed. She really made the experience exceed our expectations. The lunch menu was varied and priced fairly for the quality of food provided. I ordered the fish and shrimp ceviche bowl with rice. The patacones served with it were spot on. So crispy and delicious! For a couple of dollars more, one can choose to drink a soda, coffee, and/or dessert. Our whole party was really surprised by the overall quality of the food and service. Coupled with the fact that the children were occupied and were able to play safely while we dined was another spectacular perk.

Stumbled upon this little gem when I was in Miami looking at furniture…read more I love good latin food and they did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed. The menu is a Latin fusion with a nice selection of Venezuelan and Peruvian cuisine. The Bocas Grill Ceviche - a mix of fresh fish, shrimp in a leche de tiger sauce and topped with fried calamari and chips. At the request of our server, we tried the Vuelva la Vida Cups - this is a plantain cup with a little seafood salad inside. This came 3 to the order and it was bursting with flavor. This was a great choice in the area. The food was delicious and we got to watch some soccer too.

I was born in Venezuela so it's nice to finally have a Venezuelan restaurant in Hialeah…read more I've been here twice. Both times I've had the cachapa & I don't really know how I feel about it...I like that it has tons of cheese on it (there can never be enough cheese haha). However, I feel like it could be a bit softer and served hotter. Once you serve me I want to see the smoke coming out from how hot it is but this doesn't happen. This is definitely something they can work on. They have two sizes of empanadas: medium and large. If you want to sample a little of each then I recommend getting the medium or if you're just going to eat that then get the large ones. Sooooo...the empanadas actually taste good, they're fried to perfection. I like that they have shrimp, cheese, shredded meat, ground beef, and pabellón. I'd recommend the cheese, shredded meat, and pabellón. One thing I did not like is that they had the pabellón as an option under medium, however, when I was there last time they said it's not an option that it doesn't come in that size in their system & the kitchen also confirmed. Well the time before that I was able to order it & they also had a hard time finding it in their system. So this issue needs to be resolved and if they don't want to order medium pabellón empanadas then simply update your menus. This upset me because I like full transparency. The Tequeños are pretty good. They have 'tetas' which is a type of Venezuelan ice cream and some other types of ice cream as well. I haven't tried them but would like to. I wanted to order a chicha thinking it was made to order. However, they serve it to you from a pre-packed little carton...that was disappointing so I didn't get it. The service? Amazing! The staff is very attentive and they don't take very long to serve you. For the most part the restaurant is empty. When you do go here please note that they also offer food from two other restaurants including one with healthy options and the other is sushi. I haven't tried them but wouldn't mind to one day. Overall I would recommend trying them.

Excelente servicio , gracias a Daniela por su ayuda en la elección. Sin duda regresaríaread more

First time trying Francisca's and it was delicious, fresh, and everything we tried was phenomenal…read morein flavors. The staff was accommodating and friendly helping us with all our needs. We were a group of ten and all the food came out pretty quickly. My favorite dish was their whole chicken with boiled yuca! Just wow the yuca was super smooth and they put a green sauce which was delicious and the way they cook the chicken they put a special marinade and it's perfection. The ambience feels bold and modern with some Venezuelan/Colombia flare. Highly recommend to anyone to check them out!

I had a chance to check out their Miami Lakes location Saturday to "balance out" after a cocktail tasting event at nearby venue. Their rotisserie chicken - even the half chicken portion - is pretty sizeable and well flavored with a tasty citrusy, tangy flavor, and the tequenos are my favorite side, right up there with the sweet plantains that came with the chicken. My server was really pleasant and attentive, and they even saved my souvenir bag from the cocktail event. The restaurant itself was clean, well maintained, and with plenty of windows to look out over the Miami Lakes street scene. One thing I would improve is with the extra fee for the nata (butter) sauce to dip the tequenos. It comes with a green sauce (cilantro?) that I am just not a fan off. I did ask my server to take it off and substitute it with the, and found out that it is a bit extra. I mean, it is a substitution. It's not like I'm asking an extra sauce.
