We ordered the meat medium, but much of it arrived overcooked and dry. Served on a hot platter, it continued cooking at the table. To make matters worse, it had taken nearly an hour to arrive, so sending it back simply wasn't an option we were willing to endure. The sides -- yuca, tostones, and fries -- were all underwhelming, and the sauces were so limited that we had to ask for more. Water wasn't replenished, and even the basic table service felt neglected. We eventually spoke with the manager, hoping for some acknowledgment of the experience. Instead, we were essentially told that we should have complained sooner. We explained that after waiting nearly an hour for our food, we weren't prepared to wait another hour for a replacement. We were offered complimentary desserts, but unfortunately, the churros were rubbery and seemed reheated, while the tres leches was just average. And then came the bill: nearly $200 for three people -- for lunch. Not dinner. Lunch. At that price, you expect the food, service, and overall experience to feel exceptional. Unfortunately, ours didn't come close. We didn't leave upset because the restaurant was expensive; we left disappointed because the experience simply didn't justify what we paid. We went in with high expectations and left feeling that Mordisco was not worth the price. Sadly, we won't be returning.
