The weather was gorgeous, the live vocalist and his acoustic guitar were at the "right" volume, the crowd and vendors were friendly, and the assortment of goods to look at was varied. We took a leisurely stroll around the grounds of the town square where the market is set up. We saw vendors selling Maple Products, honey, baked goods, produce, plants, artwork, sculptures, eggs, beef, pork, soaps, pottery, baked goods and more. There was also a food truck and a hot dog cart. We picked up some broccoli, some baked goods, and I had an early lunch from the hot dog cart. Parking is a snap, with plenty of spots in the Town green parking lot and adjacent spaces by shops and a church.

And a request for organic wine which we had had at this restaurant before. (Non-organic wine gives her a headache.) We also found the owner quite argumentative and experienced his manner as condescending when we made what we thought were two fairly normal requests. **In response to the restaurant's comments below, the issue was not that he said no; it was the way in which we were spoken to. (My mother actually left the restaurant for a bit to collect herself but chose to come back in for the meal. I wish we had just left.) The waitress was lovely and attentive. She was professional in all of her interactions with us and we were very grateful for her kindness. The eggs mayonnaise was just ok (could have made better ourselves). The ratatouille was quite disappointing, no depth or real flavor- definitely would have been tastier if we had made it ourselves. The branzino was the only highlight of the meal yet they had left a cluster of the green bean stems on the plate... ? On purpose? The night before we had an excellent dinner at Alta in Lenox Center. Don't hesitate to go there! Cafe Triskele used to be consistent and excellent. In the main dining area you can relax to a woman singing all of the classics. Food was amazing - the French onion soup was incredible, and the steak was tasty and perfectly cooked. The turkey dinner was also the best comfort food for a snowy evening in the Berkshires. Service was excellent with very friendly hosting and wait staff.
