It is held in conjunction with the weekly food truck and music series for even more fun with food, shopping, and entertainment. Every week there are over 40 vendors selling homemade Italian ice, conch salad, alcohol, alfajores, raw honey, jewelry, candles, fresh squeezed lemonade, fruit popsicles, jerky, weight loss help, vision and dental services, baked goods, 3D printed toys, gelato, and more. Wellington Town Center is very nicely maintained. They had a country music tribute band and the lawn in front of the Wellington Amphitheater was perfectly manicured and the ideal place to sit if you brought a lawn chair but you could hear the music from pretty much anywhere. Kids can safely play at the adjacent Scott's Place Playground which is fenced and was being monitored by city employees. This is the area where you can also find the restrooms. Between the food tents and trucks there was just about anything you could want to eat and the shopping vendors had interesting and unique items. If there is one drawback to this event it would be that finding a parking space can sometimes be difficult. Don't even think about parking in the shopping plaza next door. Once you get your parking spot, this is a fabulous event.

And the way I learned about it was from a Yelp review. When we entered, the gentleman was making a Turkish coffee for someone who had stopped by and putting out pastries in the case up front. We learned from him later that the various "delights" are made at a Turkish bakery in Miami. We browsed the aisles. In one of the refrigerated cases, we saw taramosalata (fish eggs/roe caviar dip), but the use by date was a bit short for us to use up the jar size in time. Maybe next time. Lots of dried fruits -- the dried medjool dates appealed -- along with canned goods from various cultures. A whole section of spices. Candies. Snacks. Drinks. Syrups. Nuts. Condiments. Olives. Canned/tinned fishes. etc. etc. Plus, fresh halal meat. We even got a sample of a small cube of pomegranate and cashew nut Turkish delight. This dessert features a layer of "gel" that binds everything together. The dessert is traditional -- it's been around for centuries -- but the creative ingredient combinations are more modern. In the case by the cash register, were various pastries including baklava -- regular size and minis; kunefe -- three types; Turkish delights with all varieties of nuts, coconut, and fruit/other flavors; to more recognizable desserts like a chocolate eclair filled with hazelnut paste (nutella). And machines to make different types of coffees. We wound up buying some Turkish honey with a chunk of honeycomb inside and some pastries -- mini baklava for me and some kunefe with pistachios for him. I'm sure we'll return when next in the area.

There was a good amount of people there around lunchtime yesterday. The aesthetic of this place is modern and clean and very Florida-seque. I went with the tuna poke wrap and loved that the server ask if you have any food allegories, something I got accustomed to being over in Europe. I waited for about 10 minutes for my order, and when I received it I was very surprised. It was this huge wrap with a side of baked pita chips. The pita chips were kinda burnt, so they were a no for me. However, the wrap was on a whole wheat wrap with raw tuna, rice, avocado, veggies, and a side of a spicy aioli. It was like eating a poke bowl in a wrap form. The ponzu yuzu sauce made the fresh raw tuna standout. They filled the wrap with so many ingredients, I could only eat a half of the wrap. I wasn't a fan of the spicy aioli, only because it wasn't spicy. It did leave me wanting to sprinkle some sriracha on it. This place did exceed my expectations and I get the hype. I can't wait to come back to try the avocado toast and a smoothie.
