My husband and I started shopping at Amici Market years ago. We love their produce and all the wonderful foods they prepare. It's easy to shop there and we opened a house charge account using our credit card and that's made the experience even better! DINNER FOR 2 is still the best deal around. They offer several specials every day. And, they CATER! If you sign up on their web site, you will receive a daily email detailing what they are making that day. We also love their special baked goods! Blueberry muffins are one of our favorites. They also have great fresh Organic vegetables, Home-made Soups, Fish, Meats, Wines, Caviars and special Ice Creams. Custom Juice Bar and Pizzas. The staff is excellent and they work hard! The owner, Maurizio, is there 6 days a week. Outstanding selection of prepared foods, groceries and wine - and all sorts of treats. Even the pre-prepared salads are delicious. It's expensive, but it's on Palm Beach. It's jammed during lunch time. Parking lot in back gets congested, but the spots out front are metered. A few outdoor seats in the back, not more than refueling stations. One of the nastiest most aggressive owner & son I have ever met. We were just verbally abused and left feeling bewildered as to what had started this " war" with these propriotors. They were hostile, insulting and completely uninterested that we were the customers. " hateful", "ugly" and mean. We have been coming here for years. Went to Amici Market on Wednesday and I have to say I had a great lunch! I ordered the Amici Burger on door dash pickup with onion rings and fries. The market is wonderful inside and had a great atmosphere, the staff is friendly and always on top of everything. Now for the food review. We got something worth trying which was the Amici Burger! 10 dollars well spent! The flavor and the juice from this burger was just amazing and def altered my top 10 burger tier list. Daym Drops would be amazed as I got a nice fresh bun that was toasted on the inside and still have a nice soft bun action on the outside. It was more medium than medium rare, but it was still a great burger to eat! The fries could have used some love in the seasoning department as there was no salt, but I'm assuming there's a good reason behind it. The onion rings had a great batter and flavor to it as well! The island would not be the same without this authentic Italian market. Fresh is an understatement. Plenty of produce. A fresh meat butcher as well as the freshest seafood selection I've seen. And I'm a local fisherman who knows quality and freshness. In addition the high quality cheese,vegetable, and fruits make this place a gem. This market also boasts a fresh juice bar (Everglade), a hot bar (choices rotate) and a cold bar. I usually get the pizza (even the veggie lovers was delicious). The cold bar has great gazpacho along with a variety of unique pasta salads. On the opposite side of the market is a wall of fine wines and the staff is always pairs my food selection to a tee. Not fancy enough yet? Craft small batch caviar is offered in a small refrigerator by the juice station. The ambiance is great all times of day. The different zones flow together with a bright clean,organized aesthetic. There is even a couple small tables to sit in the back and have your lunch. Or with just a 5 minute walk to the beach, one could enjoy their juice or lunch by the water. Best of all there is always plenty of parking in front of the building. Overpriced on one hand but stocked with burrata, fresh from the farmers' market, on the other, and reasonably priced too. This shop and market is owned by the wife of the owner of Black Entertainment Network Robert L Johnson. His daughter (Paige) goes riding from her home at the Breakers townhouses. I believe his wife's name is Lauren Wooden, but he's been married several times. We always drive to Miami to buy authentic and relatively affordable Italian food products because so far we haven't found any comparable store in Palm Beach County. So when a friend of mine told me that I could actually buy the same products at Amici Market, we didn't waste any time to go to them. Of course I went there prepared to find higher prices since the store is on the expensive Palm Beach island, but I didn't think they would be so exaggeratedly high! I haven't see as many Italian products as I thought, and found only one of those we normally buy in Miami. They don't indicated the prices on everything, but after seeing a French style salami made in USA sold at $35/lb and almost 1 lb of mozzarella for $18, I lost interest in checking out the rest of the place and left. I do understand that running a place in Palm Beach is really expensive, and I don't mind spending a little more money for authentic products, but price/quality still have to make sense to me and that wasn't absolutely the case at Amici. read more

Discovered by chance as I was driving through the area, Dennis went inside to buy bottled water, came out, and said "you must go inside and check them out". Well, I did, and could have been there for several hours! One delicacy specialty item after another, many importers from Italy, fresh produce (30% off on Saturdays), prepared salads, fresh made to order sandwiches, fresh baked breads, pizzas, lobsters, fish, chips, waters, beers. All beautifully displayed, all fresh, screaming out to you "buy me, you'll love me". Look at the pictures I posted, especially those exotic mushrooms. Incredible. All the staff were friendly and I met the owner, Mauritzio, who explained the fruit spreads which came from a boutique, limited producer in a remote region of Italy. How could I resist? Well, I didn't. Note, this is not my hood, but if I found myself in the area again I'd stop in and try some of the sandwiches, salads and pizza. I don't understand an owner being rude to his customers I ordered a slice of the prime rib that had not been sliced at 11:45 I asked for rare - med rare as it was just out of oven I asked for au Jus and gal said no au jus was available It was 35$ a lb so my 6oz slice was 13$ She gave me the end cut as it was the first slice I paid for it and asked why there was no au Jus They said they would get some from kitchen which took 10 min I went outside to eat with some rice and the end cut was med and dry I took a bite and went back to get a med rare replacement Owner barked at me and said he will not cut the prime rib and give me Med rare they cut from the end and that's it Huh???? 35 $ a lb and you can get a rare or med rare piece? I feel bad for leaving this review. I was expecting something spectacular. The lobster was all chopped up in tiny pieces and there was So much parsley in it, that's all you could taste. It was overpowering. I took one bite in the car and It wasn't even edible. Very sad, I was really hungry! I took it home and tried to pick all the parsley out!! It didn't go well. This place has really gone down. The chicken curry went from having nice large pieces of chicken to mush. No flavor. Tea sandwiches were so badly made -cut in all different sizes with bread ends and held together with broken toothpicks because all the picks they apparently had were too long. Again tasteless. Their key lime pie was sent undecorated with cream and when questioned about it their response? That's the way we make it. A lot of money for bland overpriced run of the mill food. Palm Beach needs to discontinue patronizing mediocrity. read more
