Went there Tue night with family for burgers. My family new the waiter. He was not busy. Two tables, 3 people, and we were a party of three. I ordered Grilled Chicken breast dinner with salad. I saw some of our food was ready. I motioned for waiter and ask for my salad. His comment, you want it now. I usually eat my salad before my dinner. Dinner came seconds later. The piece of chicken was smaller then the palm of my hand, and dried out and burned. I didn't complain, because family go there often for the burgers. The burgers were excellent. Service can be slow in the bar. Servers friendliness is hit or miss. Tall guy dismissive and zero personality, terrible pours and the only one who doesn't use Kahlua for a white russian!?!?. Shorter one usually full of personality, great pours and very attentive. Guess who gets the better tips? ;) Food is hit or miss. What's Good: The chicken fried steak, beef stroganoff, sometimes the wings. The cheesy garlic bread on focaccia is amazing, but it is totally over-priced. They should either double the order or cut the price in half. Strangely, everything is very fair pricing except for the appetizers. (one exception to the exception is the steamer clams because they give you 2 pounds!) Skip it: tasteless french fries, burgers taste weird (bread and egg added maybe) completely flavorless pancakes. Diverse neighborhood crowd. What else....Oh!! They do breakfast all day but NOT griddle items....only until 1pm, why????That's annoying! What if someone wanted french toast and only french toast would do so they order nothing. We had breakfast here on a recent visit with the inlaws. The food was actually very good and came with big hearty sized portions. Our family ordered different items such french toast, swedish pancakes, omelets, sausage, ham, hashbrowns, ect....and there were no complaints, just happy stomachs. After ordering bowls of soup and full chef salads for almost EVERY FRIDAY for the last year or so. Today I ordered the same only instead of receiving A FULL BOWL OF SOUP LIKE I PAID FOR, we received 2 CUPS OF SOUP with not 1 POTATO in EITHER OF THEM and barely enough ranch dressing for 1 salad. When I called to complain I was given a crappy excuse about a change in take out cup size...nope have a couple in recycling now and there the same size and no nothing about no potatoes. Came here for the first time on a Friday night. Recently moved into the area and I didgn't know how this place was going to be. Came in at 9:30pm. Place was crowded but we got seatings. Drinks are stiff, food was good and people kept asking us if we needed service; overall service was excellent. They deserve a higher rating. I enjoyed this place very much and there are darts and pool. My bf and I got the 1/2 sized nacho and my friend got the turkey sandwich, everything was good; food came out fast. Cheap food! We go here all the time. The food is consistently good and the service is great. It's a place that's been around for many years and therefore has a faithful following of older folks, but plenty of younger folks too. The added bonus is that it's so close to home! Breakfast is served all day, and while I've only had something off the lunch menu a couple times, both times have been great. Friday nights during the summer are a fun time to go, as there is sort of an impromptu car show, there are many hot rod and old car enthusiasts that kind of take over the parking lot nearby, so you can check out some cool old rides and finish off with dinner. Jen the bartender (who often appears stoned) was rude, ignored patrons, and snapped at me after I asked to be closed out after she unnecessarily escalated a domestic dispute in the bar right next to me (making it a really stressful situation, which is exactly the opposite reason I come in). She clearly took sides in the situation, even though she had just met the person. When the boyfriend came in she attacked him saying he was causing a problem being there, despite him having been polite and doing nothing. The women on the other hand spout nothing but vile trash non-stop, including Jen, making it incredibly uncomfortable. Also like I said I did nothing and was very polite, yet she ignored me and then very rudely yelled at me for trying to close out. I had lived in the area and first stumbled into the bar during one of the snow storms, when you couldn't drive anywhere. It turned out to be a great place for inexpensive food and drinks. A review for the bar side: A pleasant surprise and a bit different from what you might expect from the storefront signage. Super tall ceilings, comfy booths, leather sofas, and long copper bar top. Daily food and drink specials, great staff, good crowd, pool tables, dart board, huge projector screen for games, whats not to love? Peppermill has sort of a mixed standing in this neighborhood but if you haven't tried it out recently I'd suggest you check it out. Been going to peppermill for years. Have always enjoyed staff and food. Last 8 months quality and quantity has been on a rapid decline. Been ordering take out and what I see when I get home is appalling. Missing ingredients, small portions for the price, greasy (as in dripping), taste not good. Usually have salads gave up on that, wasn't worth the price. Switched to sandwiches, maybe 3 pieces of meat (French dip). Patty melt so greasy COULDN'T eat it. Didn't even give it to the dog. Not sure what's going on but I won't be ordering food from there again. Need to make some changes or they will lose more than one long time customer. read more

When your a server, the reason you exists in business is to help customers. I came with my family, sadly have celiacs. I understand my health issue and was asking question to help navigate the menu. The waitress was so rude, rolled her eyes, and said she did not have time to read a bunch of labels. She was awful!!!!!! My family all wanted to leave, but we had hungry children with us. I watch my family eat a meal. Finally after 15 minutes I was asked if I needed a water. In this day in age, restaurants need to step up there game and be prepared to handle food allergy questions...... or go out of business as you lose your aging clientele. read more

This time they served me burnt bacon, Not just dark I'm talking charred black bacon. When I asked the waitress to return it she replied she hadn't even noticed and giggled as she walked away. Worst service I've ever experienced. Watched the 2 bartenders go back to tables 5 or 6 times without stopping at ours which was 2 tables away. Couldnt even get eye contact to flag them down which I hate doing. So I ended up going to the bar to order all drinks and food and even then got ignored for 5 min every time. Couldn't keep the tabs straight and what drinks they had already cashed out. So they tried double charging then arguing about it. I always tip at LEAST 20% unless you're rude and offend me then ill give you 10% as a little fuck you. But tonight was the first time that I didn't tip. The two ladies working need to find another job because being organized, and efficient isn't thier stong suit. Only complaint is while a sign is painted on the glass at the entrance advertising "Saturday senior Discount", the high school publicly educated cashier knows nothing about it. When asked about the discount he pushed a lot of keys on the cash register then said he would have to ask the waiter. Until I came back.... I moved back into my old neighborhood. Excited to be living in my childhood town. Excited that as a single mom I had the comfort of familiarity and safety in where I chose to live. I learned a sports bar had been added.... I was very excited that this was a fun addition and a safe place close to home that I could enjoy. I got 86'd for the simple fact that Max thought I was weird. How do bartenders get away with this...and does the owner care???? I did nothing wrong. Those were his exact words. I brought my concerns to Amber the manager. She said to not worry about it as she is the manager... Then sang a different tune a few weeks later and I am again 86'd. I've learned that this place is known for 86'ing people constantly.
