Excellent service! Our server was super attentive and very friendly. Recommend reservations since it just opened and it's quite busy. Not a huge space so it's very LOUD! They have soccer on several screens in the side room and people were screaming when someone scored and it literally gave me a jump scare several times! The Brix chips were a good starter. The cocktails were tasty just like the other locations. They have an outdoor seating area. Hubby ordered the fish n tots. Fish was good with light breading. The tots were blah. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with side salad. Salad was great... sandwich was a bit sad with not a lot of meat. It was more like a very thin layer of shaved beef. The melted cheese adds a different layer of texture and creamy flavor that I'm not mad at. Overall menu looks great and happy hour will be our next visit to try several items. Maybe not during World Cup time because it's way too loud to hear each other over the noise level. They need to install the sound barriers hanging down from the ceiling.

Hillsboro severely needed a happy hour like this one. We had the cauliflower wings, salt and pepper calamari and the brix chips. Food was great, will be back to try more of the menu.

La Provence is still a very solid breakfast/brunch place, especially out the burbs. The portions…read moreare still pretty hefty though prices have gone up over the years along with everywhere else. I avoid brunch on the weekends because it's just too busy and chaotic but weekdays are pretty nice. It's good, but not waiting for half hour good. I also come in pretty often for bread and pastries though you have to get in early or things will sell out. Service is always fine. I miss when they were open for dinner/happy hour because I liked their food back then.

My mother and I were having a lovely Sunday afternoon today and wanted to enjoy a nice lunch this…read morelocation. However, enjoy was the last thing i would call our experience today. Mainly due to one INCREDIBLY rude employee, who i am going to assume is the manager, or something close, considering she was the only one in plain clothes, and not in a uniform or server outfit. This woman was an absolute walking nightmare. First off, we came in around 1pm. Mind you, this location closes at 3pm. So immediately, after we walked in, we stood there for a good minute or so before one of the FIVE employees, including nightmare manager lady, who were standing on, in or around the front counter ask "table for two?".. as the manager slowly grabbed our menus to hand to the server, i immediately noticed she had an attitude. Almost like she was annoyed we were coming to eat.. I shook it off, we sat down. We had our small dog in a stroller, so we had asked to eat outside. The outside area was busy. It is a sunny 70+ degree day so we asked for as much shade as we could get. The server pointed us towards a table with one half completely in the sun. We pointed to the 3-4 tables behind us that were in full shade. The server said they just closed that section. Umm ok, but, not the severs fault that the available tables were in the sun.. so, ok, no problem. We sat down. It took our server a while to get to us, but she was hustling and doing very her best. When she got to us she was gracious and very friendly. She was also very accommodating when we ask for our meal to be split to share. I wish i had gotten her name because she was the only nice part of our experience today and she was a lovely young lady. So, as we waited for our food, my mother was getting uncomfortable in the direct sun. I offered to switch seats, but she just tried to move her chair more to the side, towards the inner isle. Nightmare manager whips out of the door and VERY rudely, and loudly, barks at my 74yr old mother "mam, that's just not going to work! It's too narrow in here!" Everyone looked at us as she yelled this at my mother. At this point, most of the tables outside were emptying. So i said "could we maybe switch tables? She's just very uncomfortable in the sun." this nightmare of a human throws her hand up at us, like IN OUR FACES, and in a very annoyed voice says "you gotta give me a minute " and darts past us. We were floored. My mom and I look at each other like "huh?!?" There is now very few people left in the entire restaurant, inside or out. So it was pretty clear it was less about being busy and more that she was simply in "i want to close up and go home" mode. But hey, food service can be stressful, i get that. What i don't get is yelling at customers like they're your five year old. At this point the servers are wiping down the tables and stacking chairs. Mind you, it's only been roughly 20 min. So it's about 1:30pm.. again, they close at 3pm. But they were all clearly in shut down mode.. So when nightmare manager lady doesn't come back, we asked another server if we could move. She looks around at the empty tables, that are now 100% in the shade, and is like "ummmmmmmm, sure?" I said "great!" Got up and move to the shadiest table. Then nightmare manager whips outside again, and, as we are picking up our our silverware and water cups, this woman shoves next to my mom, who fumbling with her water glass, purse and silverware, and begins wiping the table down before we even retrieved our things. She says nothing to us. Her body language was aggressive and she was obviously very annoyed. Annnnnd that's when I called it. We hadn't even received our food. We got up and left, while I chipped "you can tell them to just throw our food away. You've been incredibly rude and we're done" and we left. This woman ruined a lovely Sunday afternoon i was spending with my mother. She was annoyed and rude the second we interacted with her. She may be stressed out, but to treat customers with such obvious distain, is unacceptable. This woman clearly can't handle the pressure.. so i HIGHLY recommend they get her out of the kitchen, LITERALLY! To this nightmare woman, i am so sorry we annoyed you with our business today. Don't worry, we will not be back..

This is a revision of my negative review ... I can say, at…read moreleast now I am able to feel better about last night's situation... The owner of Reedville called me today and sincerely apologize for the situation that took place lastnight! I wasn't asking for anything but an apology last night and that did not come from the manager, but the owner was not pleased and is more than adequately taking care of things for us! I have to say that says a lot about his business ethics! After talking to him I understand he is in a really tough spot! He is a new owner and trying to live up to the expectations of his customers who have been coming there for many years! He is trying to keep things the way that Rick had them so it keeps customers happy but there are things he would like to change (the meal we had lastnight is one of then) but he is afraid to ruin the reputation of the restaurant by making changes to quickly! He is keeping the menu consistent with the original menu and recipes and hoping the customers will be willing to accept that some changes can be good, so he can possibly try new things! I really do appreciate him calling me back and at least apologizing and recognizing that the situation that happened last night was not appropriate! With all that said, because of him I will give them another try! I hope that others will too! Let's all give him a little time to get settled and hope that he will continue to make good changes, that continue to please the public! Thank you very much! Original review: HORRIBLE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! QUALITY WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!!! There are lots of the other restaurants out there that have quality and stand behind their business We have been long time customers at Readville Cafe, tonight we received an order that was nothing short of a Denny's restaurant! We called and complained to the manager and all she did was offers to come in on a Tuesday and get a senior discount! Seriously???? I said why would I come back in for food that was inferior and you're not even going to stand behind? She said, well all I can say is our recipes haven't changed so, next time you come in don't order that! Because of her response I certainly wouldn't go back and I really think that other people should think about it themselves! Like I said to her, If your food hasn't changed then you should be willing to stand by your Recipe/Quality because, today, it is not good! The chicken fried steak looked like a little thin hamburger patty with some kind of cheap breading, like it a premade store-bought processed patty. Typically chicken fried steak is a chicken breast pounded out with a crunchy breading that is deep fried. The vegetables stink!!! They were hard and smelled rotten, like the broccoli and cauliflower were old! The gravy was just short of a packaged gravy you could make from the grocery store! The manager would not budge on belief of our experience, stating their food was high quality and nothing had changed in years. She was rude and was not even apologetic , she would not offer a discount and didn't care that she had an unhappy customer! If this is how they run their business then people should think hard about going there! This certainly NOT the Reedville Cafe that it always has been! The old owner and manager, Rick, would never have treated customers like that!, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! QUALITY WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!!! There are lots of the other restaurants out there that have quality and stand behind their business

They have gluten free bread in a separate toaster that doesn't fall apart and was delicious in a breakfast sandwich. They have gluten free waffles that are definitely on our list next time to try. Biscuits Cafe is definitely the best breakfast we've had in a long while. We needed a new place for gluten free breakfast since iHop stopped serving gluten free pancakes. The kitchen is out in the open to watch them cook the food and they even have a dedicated biscuit warmer. The biscuits were the best I've ever had! Flaky and melt in your mouth, especially with the fresh jam and whipped butter! They played good music and the staff was super friendly and immediately sat us. Our server was Jose A. B, he gave me his opinion between two menu options and I went with the Hash and Eggs. The red potatoes were seasoned great. It was a bit expensive for two at $54.76 but we tipped 25% on-top of it due to the level of service. The price makes sense due to the speed and taste of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We're definitely coming back in the future.

My server was busy with a large table next to me. One of his fellow servers saw my "I need caffeine" face and came over. Since it was several minutes with no acknowledgement from my server, I ordered as I got my coffee. My meal came out quickly. Crab cake Benedict was meh. I had to get my own tableware. A man from "Corporate" saw this and apologized. After that, no one checked on my meal. No one offered my a coffee refill. "My" server offered a box for my potatos but never came back with the check. I asked for the corporate guy, but was told another manager would be with me shortly. She quickly comped my meal and apologized. She is the regional mgr. I offered my contact info, which she took to call me later. Nothing since then. I visit Portland annually and was always curious about this place. Now I'm not.
