I was really disappointed with our experience. It took a long time just to have our order taken and to receive our drinks. Then I found out they were out of both my first and second menu choices, so I ordered something else. Everyone else at our table received their food, but mine never came. About 30 minutes later, our server asked if everything was okay, and I had to tell her I still hadn't received my meal. She said it was "almost done," but after waiting another 15 minutes, I canceled it because everyone else had already finished eating. They did remove my meal from the bill, which I appreciated, but no manager ever came to apologize or check on the situation. As we were leaving, they offered to box my food to go, but by then the evening was over and I had spent the entire meal hungry while everyone else ate. I really wanted to love this place. We live nearby. We went to a show in Portland and came back close to home to eat. It's Saturday night. I get that. It was loud and there was a party of women having the best time! That was super fun to listen to then laugh. But they sat us in the very back of the restaurant. The chips and salsa were very good. The rest of the food was just ok. The asada was dry and seemed like it was the leftovers. It was 10pm and they close at 1:30. The servers were nice. It was just an ok experience. Finally decided to try this spot out. The service was fast and they were really nice and attentive. The decor and ambiance inside is fun and feels new. You get chips and salsa when you sit down. We ordered the fajitas and the sopes and for a drink we shared the giant bowl which reminded me of the "fish bowl" drinks. The food was good but equivalent to any other similar establishment I'd say. You could tell the plating was done intentionally they don't just throw it on there. I think overall the prices are a little pricey. This place is tiny, loud and parking is horrendous. It's got a fun vibe to it, but if you're expecting a quiet dinner, privacy or anything like that this place isn't it. Service was iffy, we had two different people helping us and it still felt like service was slow. The drinks were delicious but took forever to get to us. We ordered a second one mid meal and it was brought out as we were asking for the check and take home boxes. The steak plate was delicious. I can't believe this place doesn't get more attention! From the great service, tasty food, and delicious drinks this place gets 5 stars from us. We came around 2 pm on a saturday, and there were some guys at the bar as well as 2 families. It didn't take any time at all for us to get seated. The place has a lot of areas for seating from the main area, bar, outside patio and a second area to the left of the main area. There was only 1 lady that was our server, the bartender, and even helped clean up so props to her for doing that all on her own! Her service was amazing was well and she was very kind. On to the food and drinks, this place was honestly one of the top mexican restaurants we've had near Beaverton. We come from Los Angeles, so we have very high expectations when it comes to mexican food. This place is for sure underrated. I ordered the Tampiquena, which came with taquitos, skirt steak, enchilada verde, rice, beans and guac. My partner ordered the chilaquiles divorciados and then we got the skirt steak, ribeye & birria tacos. All in all it was a 9/10 for everything. The tacos could have used some salsa on the side and lime, but other than that they were good! Drinks were also amazing, shoutout to our awesome server/bartender! Service was a little slow but the food was good. Our waiter, Gustavo , was really nice and attentive when he could be. They seemed to be under staffed so I can see why the service was on the slower side. Ordered a shrimp and fish taco (Baja style) and thought small street tacos were going to come out but they were full on tacos! Shrimps were huge and there were 4 in one taco! I was so surprised! We had been here several times and had a good experience. Not usually crowded, but the service had been ok and the food good. But last night, we decided to introduce friends to the restaurant. It was a Monday night. The only person on staff that night was the cook. A patron helped to translate as we placed our orders. Food was delivered very slowly and the Appetizers were overcooked. Drinks were watery and not to the usual standard. We were disappointed by the experience, and more embarrassed since we had suggested going there. First time here so did not know what to expect. First thing I noticed not very many customers. Only two tables had people seated. The waitress took our order. Almost 40 min went by before our order came. They got my order wrong and ask if I wanted them to make it right. I said no because my wife had her order and I did not want to wait another 25 minutes. I feel so blessed to have such a great Mexican Restaurant that is practically located in our backyard. It had such a cute ambience with comfy crushed emerald green booths. I ordered the Chili Relleno, which came with a tomato sauce, beans and rice. Personally, I would have preferred enchilada sauce instead, and the beans were a little runny, but that was the only two minus. The batter the rellano's were cooked in was light and delicious, and it was obvious everything was cooked fresh and made to order. Even our chips were warm, and freshly made. My husband had "My Wife's Enchiladas, which he really liked. Let's start with the food! Among our party, we split the chicken fajitas, had an order of steak fajitas, and the chicken enchiladas. We were all pleased with the flavor, presentation, and generosity of these plates! This is more my style of Mexican food than a lot of other places I've been to (the place that comes to mind is, Don Colorado's) and it's a personal preference but I don't like a lot of "house sauce", dressings, and slurpy coverings for the food. What we experienced was just good ingredients, simply cooked with great flavor. I can't say that I am a Mexican food connoisseur, but in my mind, I would say this is more "home-cooked" than some places. The restaurant is fairly new, so of course, inside is bright and clean with a bit of a colorful and interesting decor. There are two main sections of the restaurant, as you enter you have the bar with seating and a lot of natural light coming in through a wall of windows. Towards the back is a dining room with no windows and it is brightly lit with overhead, drop-in lighting. This is another area where personal preferences come in strong. I like more of a subdued lighting, but some people do like the bright light to see what they are eating. The place is very clean, almost to a fault. In the back dining area, we had a noticeable antiseptic/chlorine smell. We did see one of the staff members cleaning up a table after the diners had left and they take it seriously for sure, she really gave that table a cleaning! The waitstaff was very friendly, and really made us feel welcomed. I think there might be some communication issues on their end in terms of who has what responsibility since we had our food delivered but we didn't have any plates. We waited around a few minutes, but they didn't show up so I asked one of the waitresses nearby if we could get some plates. She went off and told someone and then came back to continue her work and then it was a few more minutes before plates showed up. I think this is a case of something mentioned in another review, they have a pretty brisk business and waitstaff might be spread just a tiny bit too thin. Price-wise, it did feel a tad high. I know prices are going up everywhere and the portions were definitely generous so I wouldn't say it's completely out of line just a bit more than we expected. I believe it was $20 for the chicken fajitas and $24 for the steak fajitas. If I remember right it was $12 or $14 for a medium margarita. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will be back! Your mileage may vary a bit, depending on where you put your preferences, but I recommend you give it a try. read more

The chips are hand made and delicious. Sadly they didn't get their shipment of avocado and we couldn't try the guacamole. The Chile relleno was probably one of the best I've had. The rice was fresh with good flavor. The deal mar enchiladas were a little dry and slightly overcooked. The interior is not you average Mexican restaurant. Very cute spot off tv highway and 185th area. Nice little parking lot and open feeling when inside. Beautiful decor as well. Staff were prompt and friendly. We started out with spicy bloody Mary's and the chips. Both great! We ordered the shrimp and crab enchiladas with green sauce. So I should have known from the chips and flavorless salsa this place was going to be a disappointment. I ordered a $15 mojito & a glass of water to drink. The mojito came about 10 minutes after my table got their drinks. No water.. I ordered the shrimp empanadas got 3 as stated in the menu, but nothing else. No rice, no beans. Just 3 dry empanadas with 2 containers of dip. Very bland. My wife got the steak fajitas and my friend got the chicken fajitas. Flavorless. Busy Friday night, maybe they ran out of spices before we came? My wife asked the server for some pico or guacamole or salsa to help with the taste of her fajitas. There is a reason the only condiment on the table is salt. She didn't want to take home the 2/3 left of her plate. The positive spin is that the presentation of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant were very high class. I think the motto here is we can get everybody $20+ per plate once.
