Wall TV Murals Throughout the Casino

On our latest visit to Wendover, we chose the Peppermill since we'd tried the Rainbow and Montego Bay last time. The Nugget/Red Garter casinos seem to have declined in customer service over the past couple of years, so the Peppermill rose to the top of our list. They have a good Mexican sit-down style restaurant, Pancho and Willie's, that we have enjoyed several times, but it can be a bit spendy compared to other fast food options available. This is the only casino under this management with a poker room that doesn't just focus on tournaments, but also has ongoing tables throughout the day. Many of the machines are newer, but they still have a few oldies that we like to play. You can put in $5 bill and play for a bit, unlike the newer ones that require a minimum $0.50-$0.75 single spin bet. I tend to frequent the older machines with bonus spins. This location is similar to the other two with large TV style wallpaper throughout the building with live scenes of oceans, mountains, showing drone footage of flyovers, etc. I find myself getting distracted, watching the waves roll in on the beach, or the eagles flying over the top of the tall pines blowing in the breezes. I've not stayed at the hotel here, since we usually come out for the day, or stay at the local KOA in our RV. I have spent many a night at the concert hall, however, and have enjoyed a variety of artists, some of whom have since passed away now. I guess I could say, thanks Peppermill for all the good times, and for those yet to come.

    the au jus in question

Walked in got sat in the corner next to a dirty table. 15 minutes before anyone came over to get drinks and when they did come over they rushed us through ordering not asking about sides or salads and had us order drinks and food at the same time. We were rushed through our meal and handed a check. No refills offered. Food came fairly quick but after finishing most of my sandwich the au jus had bits of corn and other things that are not supposed to be in it. Generally unpleasant and bad service. All this to note the restaurant was not busy in the slightest with plenty of staff just hanging around.

We stopped in for an overnight on our way to Park City for our annual trip. This was our first time here. We went to Pancho & Willies and enjoyed a good dinner of Fajitas and margaritas. The room was a long walk but kept us far away from the casino. We will be back.

We have been coming to the Peppermill for years and as one of the "Big 3" hotel/casinos in Wendover, NV. it is one of our go-tos each time we are in town. Peppermill owns the Rainbow and Montego Bay hotel/casinos in Wendover as well. Each has their own theme and Peppermill sits as number 2 in the lineup in our minds. The decor used to be garish, neon and flashy, but after a remodel a number of years back, it has been transformed into a beautiful Tuscan themed spot. We love that it is has smaller casino and enjoy playing Blackjack with many of the friendly dealers here, however our passion is Video Poker and we spend hours at both of their video poker bars chasing the Royal flush! We have become friends with long time bartenders here and always stop to say hello to Sonja, Daniel and Chris while we play. The hotel has also been extensively remodeled over the years and they have added on even more beautiful rooms (at the expense of having to walk miles to get to and from the casino). Be sure to sign up for their player's club card which works at all three of their casinos to earn comps for food and hotel stays! Highlights for us include the Video Poker bar both by the Cafe Milano restaurant and Pancho & Willies restaurant. The latter serves delicious frozen margaritas. We also love the stuffed bacon-wrapped shrimp at Pancho and Willies! They also have a great poker room, although we never play real poker anymore these days. Stop by the Peppermill and have a great night of food, drinks, friends and gambling!

If it were possible to sum up poor ventilation and air filtration systems, poor employee attitude and lack of basic training in customer service and hospitality ... From the lack lustre performance of front desk personnel (male) who was loathe to furnish us with single details of boarding passes and luggage drop off for our return home. Wha t would have taken a few moments of his time, on the phone, he continued to insist the information was avaik

My daughter and I enjoying our time together at Peppermill.

Wendover as well as West Wendover are right at the Utah border and they go by the next time zone, so you gotta change you clocks for that. This hotel, The Best Western Plus, is not my usual hotel chain we stay at for travel, but there weren't any Holiday Inn Expresses in town, so I just picked this place as some place sort of similar with, you know free breakfast and clean rooms and a level above Motel 6 or something. Checking in was no problem, all credit cards taken and the staff was friendly. My crew seemed happy not to have to travel any more. We lugged all out stuff in and got to our rooms just fine. My room was clean and the first thing I do is try to log onto the WIFI. It works fine and speed is OK to get my work done. The bathroom was nice and the hot water had good pressure, cause I could use a long hot shower right about now. My little water tank at home just runs out too fast! Everyone else said the rooms were fine. Breakfast was on level with most free hotel breakfasts. Coffee was hot and the food was too. It's nice to have a little change in breakfast choice from our usual Holiday Inn Express. Tomorrow is back on the road to Salt Lake. At least the speed limit is 80mph!

The bathroom itself was pretty gross, chunks of the wall were gone, the tile floor was disgusting mess. mold around the tub near the floor. I'm pretty sure someone tried to clean this room but its so old it's a bit hard to. there were candy wrappers under the bed, the carpet used for a baseboard was coming off the wall. There was floss in the drain, left it there as I didn't have gloves to try to take it out. Overall, I would never, ever stay here again or recommend this flop motel To my worst enemy. Luckily we live about 2.5 hours away from home so there was no way i was going to shower in there, I'd be afraid the rub may fall through the floor. This place either gets an entire new everything, or it should be bulldozed along with everything thing in it. The one and only thing we found is it is quiet, and the TV was top notched. Save yourself the headache and cash and go somewhere else.

I'm pretty sure their air conditioning is either broken or they're too budget to turn it up enough for it to give any sort of relief from the Nevada dessert, but the good news is that there's actually a really nice Starbucks in here that's clean and makes a mean (the good kind of mean) Iced Chai Tea Latte. There's also a Scores gentleman's club inside, adjacent to the Starbucks, if that's your sort of thang, and plenty of video gaming machines, although you should be ready to be pried of your money faster than ever before.
