Walked in got sat in the corner next to a dirty table. 15 minutes before anyone came over to get drinks and when they did come over they rushed us through ordering not asking about sides or salads and had us order drinks and food at the same time. We were rushed through our meal and handed a check. No refills offered. Food came fairly quick but after finishing most of my sandwich the au jus had bits of corn and other things that are not supposed to be in it. My friends & i were at the poker bar last week. The service is CRAP! If you get the right bartenders at the bar by poncho & willy's it's better. Francisco treats customers like crap Robert doesn't want to make a speciality shot even if you offer to pay. But the new bar back will so messed up. We put a harrasment complaint to security because Francisco the bartender was hitting the machine with a stick in my face & almost hit my hand. I told him to go away * do his job. We stopped in for an overnight on our way to Park City for our annual trip. This was our first time here. We went to Pancho & Willies and enjoyed a good dinner of Fajitas and margaritas. The room was a long walk but kept us far away from the casino. We will be back. read more

We have been coming to the Peppermill for years and as one of the "Big 3" hotel/casinos in Wendover, NV. it is one of our go-tos each time we are in town. Peppermill owns the Rainbow and Montego Bay hotel/casinos in Wendover as well. Each has their own theme and Peppermill sits as number 2 in the lineup in our minds. The decor used to be garish, neon and flashy, but after a remodel a number of years back, it has been transformed into a beautiful Tuscan themed spot. We love that it is has smaller casino and enjoy playing Blackjack with many of the friendly dealers here, however our passion is Video Poker and we spend hours at both of their video poker bars chasing the Royal flush! We have become friends with long time bartenders here and always stop to say hello to Sonja, Daniel and Chris while we play. The hotel has also been extensively remodeled over the years and they have added on even more beautiful rooms (at the expense of having to walk miles to get to and from the casino). Be sure to sign up for their player's club card which works at all three of their casinos to earn comps for food and hotel stays! Highlights for us include the Video Poker bar both by the Cafe Milano restaurant and Pancho & Willies restaurant. The latter serves delicious frozen margaritas. We also love the stuffed bacon-wrapped shrimp at Pancho and Willies! They also have a great poker room, although we never play real poker anymore these days. We had a great party this weekend. The rooms were very clean and the beds are comfy. Most of the dealers were very friendly. Everyone wears masks and there is no smoking at the tables now which is GREAT! I hope that remains. The Italian/American restaurant had quite the selections to choose from. And the servers were really nice. The only downside is the smoking in the hallways. We were on floor 3 and it was still smokey at the elevators. We were right near one so the smoke drifted into our room. I thought you couldn't smoke in elevators. read more

The hotel is terrible. Front-desk staff: rude. Food: Terrible. Casino: Well, at least they have single-deck blackjack. Pillows: hard as rocks. My neck still hurts. Bed: Hard as a rock. We picked the Peppermill in West Wendover based on the good experiences we've had at Peppermill in Reno, but later found they're not affiliated. Actually the same group owns the three major hotel/casinos in Wendover. We arrived late afternoon based on a reservation we'd made a couple of months earlier. When we went to check-in the trainee helping us said we were staying in the building farthest away from the casino/restaurants. It's a long walk completely on the other side of the property. I asked to move to a different room closer, and was told it was not possible. I was starting to get frustrated when another check-in agent walked up and asked what was going on. To make a long story short she took over, moved us to the main building and the room was $50 cheaper! The room was really nice. Appointed well and very comfortable. They take good care of this place. At dinner they basically have an upscale Mexican restaurant and a coffee shop/restaurant. I was told that the Mexican restaurant also has steak (they had one). When I inquired about other places to eat they have a shuttle which takes you to their other properties, one which has an Italian restaurant, another has a steakhouse. The steakhouse was closed on Monday. After sitting with a drink and looking at the menu we decided we didn't want to pay $25 for a Mexican entree so we moved back over to the coffee shop and had a pretty basic, bit decent meal. Waitress was really good which made it better. My wife headed to bed and I went down to the casino. Sat at the bar and ordered a shot and beer. Bartender told me I could have one or the other, not both. Even though I was gambling (and my drink should be comp'd) I said I'd pay. He said no, I could only have one drink every 15 minutes. And he was the supervisor! Never heard of such a thing but we are on the Utah border. This is an ok place to stay, but one thing stayed with me. The employees spend a lot of time on their phone. The front desk clerk, the players club rep, the coffee stand server, the bartender... All looking at their phone when I walked up, and only one put their phone down to help me when standing there without me asking for their attention. Major training needed on customer service. It's an OK place sitting in the middle of nowhere, but I think next time we'll try one of their other places. read more

I have been to Wendover a few times now and it seems like this is the staple of the area. Peppermill is extremely popular and I can see why. They really have a lot of amenities and it blows me away with how they do it. They were advertising filet mignon for $7 when I was there. WHAT. They also had deals like $5.50 margaritas. Not only is the Peppermill casino massive but it is also just a beautiful building in my opinion. The inside is really nice, especially near the bar and restaurant areas. The outside is cool as well, it looks like they have kept the original building and just revamped the inside. I don't know enough about architecture to speak on what kind of era it is or anything like that, but I love the building inside and out! I also think their food is very good. Peppermill has been a staple in Wendover since forever. It's a nice casino with all of the offerings from food, lodging, all of the games, etc. The place isn't geared to a younger crowd and you are more likely to run in to your Great Aunt than your cousin. Here are a list of likes / dislikes I personally have with the property: Likes: 1) The concert hall is legit. It sits on the property and there isn't a bad seat in the house. You can catch a show here fairly inexpensively, too. 2) The staff is very friendly. From the front desk to the gaming tables they take time to talk with you and be nice. 3) Room cleanliness. The place is stuck in the early 90's for Decor in about 1/2 of the hotel but it has always been clean. Dislikes: 1) The food options here are not great. Basic casino food with little to nothing with a "wow" factor. 2) The casino is smoky. More than I would normally expect. I think the age of the casino and ventilation have a lot to do with that. 3) Excitement. Not a lot here. This is more where grandma goes to play the nickel slots. You won't find a sports book, lounge, etc. 4) Bars. Horrible. Different taps at different bars and rarely (it seems) is the one offering what I want open. read more

I have stayed at Peppermill Reno countless times. It is a beautiful clean resort. However, this stay at Peppermill West Wendover was not even close in comparisons We were given a King room, which was very nice. Until the smell from the sewer started coming up in the toilet. You could hardly walk into the bathroom. The doors that lead to our rooms elevator from the parking lot were blocked by maintenance and repair trucks. There were repair workers and lots of garbage by the door. I was woken up by hammering and machines above my room at 6:50AM. They were doing some type of repairs or upgrades above us. The bathrooms at Peppermill Reno are always kept clean and tidy. However, at Windover Peppermill, they were dirty, and the majority of the toilet stalls were taped or tied, closed with plastic because they were not working. In one bathroom alone, I counted five stalls broken. There is absolutely no reason for this. I hope this review will help Peppermill Wendover to upgrade their Hotel to the same standards as Reno Peppermill. Personally, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. read more

This was the first casino I have ever been to. I played my first ever hand of blackjack and busted out as one does. In that moment, I reflected on what a waste of $15 that single 30 second hand was. I lost another $10 within another few minutes and decided gambling is a horrible waste of money and time. As I walked out not more than 20 minutes after entering, I couldn't help but think of the sad state of the human condition and capitalism. The only thing that distracted me from the horrible lingering cigarette smell is the depressing sight of everyone else in that casino. There is nothing more depressing than seeing dozens of people zoinked out in front of flashy, noisy slot machines near literally throwing their money away. They all looked like zombie NPCs. I refuse to believe that any real, rational person could engage in such a waste of time and money. They have to be paid actors. There is no other explanation. All the warnings of "problem gambling" are clearly for naught as such a sad state of human existence is nothing but problem gambling. This casino and all others are a shitstain on society. read more

This place was pretty dece. Gambling at the bar (video poker) is a blast because the barkeeps are cool and keep the beers flowing. "Another Heineken, sir?" Oh yes. Compare that to some places in Laughlin, for example, where the barkeeps are completely uncool, and don't keep the beer flowing, and they just bitch at you for not gambling fast enough or playing enough quarters. read more

Peppermill is going through some renovations and the casino floor looks updated. 3-2 blackjack minimum $3 tables. They relocated the poker room from Montego Bay to Peppermill in July 2017. Poker room do not allow smoking which is a plus for me. Weekday nights they usually have couple tables going with $1-2 hold'em and have a $70 nightly tournament at 8:30pm. read more

We came to the Peppermill for dinner. I had the prime rib special (served after 4:00 pm) it was 14.99 my husband had the all you can eat spaghetti for 12.99. The service was very good and quick. I enjoyed my prime rib very much. Was it the best prime rib I gave ever had? No but it was delicious and you can't beat the price. My husband was given a huge bowl of spaghetti and french bread. He liked it but it was not his favorite. It's definitely all a matter of taste because my brother loves this particular spaghetti. All in all a decent meal for a good value. read more

If you're from Reno this Peppermill Casino might seem like a bit of a let down. #1 - They do not honor your Peppermill card or discounts. Yes, you'll need to get yet another player's card. #2 - Coffee bar looks the same but they do not have Almond Milk. If you're not doing dairy then it's non-dairy creamers cup for you. #3 - There's tons of construction so finding the enterance into the hotel/casino is a bit confusing. There's tons of dust. #4 - Milano Cafe has a similar menu but seems to be priciers. The good news is FREE Ice Cream with every entree even breakfast. This location is about 5 hours from my house. I was disappointed by the attitude of the front desk day manager Shelia Merchado. i feel she needs classes on empathy. I can count a number of front t desk gals that give 100% in customer service. She needs awake up call. I earned a jacuzzi sweet for 2 nights. The first nite i called maintnance he thought he fixed it which he didn't then next day you would have needed a wrench to turn it on. The staff were more fluent in Spanish than English, which is typical for smaller locations in Nevada. I give a 3 when something is in the broad middle. That described this place. I can't even give this place 1 star. I frequent this place and because tomorrow is a holiday they did not validate my comp room. The manager listened to phone conversations between myself and their call center in Reno. Needless to say, even after the manager heard "comp room confirmed" I still had to pay 1/2 for the room. The best part is when I told her I could have stayed the weekend or anywhere but here for the night and she offered to let us me wrap it up and go. This is the bar located by the restaurant/buffet.very friendly and timely service.Jose and Francisco definitely go out of their way to provide customers with a great experience. A decent band plays on the weekend Cons; Inconsistent service at the restaurant. One day you'll get the best service ever,and another day,one of the bus ladies will literally sit on your table while your eating.(yes that really happened)also,there is not a wide variety of food and its just not that good.Go to the montego buffet instead. Although the rooms are OK,I've had the most technical problems here.like fire alarms going off,blackouts,coffee maker and clocks not working, no water pressure,lots of noise in the hallway from maintenance/housekeeping, and unfortunately the list could go on.
