Sat outside on the patio with the intention of watching the Falcons game. Sat down, TV was not working. A guy (who may or may not have been a server) came out and looked at it and said something about the cord being unplugged. Looked at us, then walked back inside. We sat for about 5 more minutes waiting on either the TV to work or someone to bring us water, a menu, or even acknowledge our presence. Nope. Got up and left. TV on patio was dirty anyway, probably couldn't watch anything on it if it was working. This place is a neighborhood joint that obviously doesn't care to do anything more than the absolute minimum in effort. Bummer. read more

A multi-faceted restaurant with so much to keep anyone you're dining with you; your spouse, the kids, or your buddies. They have a pool table, dart boards, Keno, and plenty of TV's. We ordered to the lemon pepper and thai curry wings and an order of fries. Not only would I return for the specialty pizzas but I would head back for is the lemon pepper wings. I have been going to Pepperoni's for almost 15 years. I went there with my wife this past weekend. It was as consistent as it was from the first time I went in there years ago. The cheese loaf is really good and the pizza is the best to me. We have not found a better and more consistent place than this. Decided to give Pepperonis another try. Still not a great place. I realize all the homesick Michigan folks are rabid for this place but this southern girl is unimpressed. The seating and decor are nice but they have raised prices and you will now pay $16 for nachos. Now these are not your ordinary nachos. They have no real cheese, just that fake orange nacho cheese like you get at a high school game. But the fun doesn't stop there, they put OKRA and GARBANZO BEANS on your nachos along with enough iceberg lettuce to choke a horse. They do leave out the meat, however. Not one bit of any meat on them. This culminates in a pretty nauseating dining experience. Top this with far off games dominating the screens even when UGA is playing Tech (you know, the biggest game in our area). We actually left at halftime to go to a different place. read more

Mmmmmm....good pizza. Crust was chewy, thick, and a tad crisp on the edges. I got the personal pan pizza and still had a ton leftover. I liked how they had more of primo toppings and didn't charge extra for it (ie sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts). The "small" salad is huge. Big enough to split between 2 people. I have met the owner and he seems to be very focused on using only top quality fresh stuff and I can tell as I have never had a bad meal here ever. I went here for a late-ish dinner last night. It was perfectly fine. We were seated immediately and had our choice of tables, which I liked. It was a tad on the loud side, but that's to be expected at a sports bar. I ended up getting the Martha's Vineyard salad. I think I finished half of it. It was tasty, but no different than any other blue cheese, nut, & lettuce combo I've had before. Unlike what was mentioned in another review, I didn't find any zing to it. The bread they brought out was tasty. My dining companion was a little unhappy that they didn't have his first choice beer on draft, but it didn't seem to be that big of a deal. If you really want a wide variety of beers, that's what Taco Mac is for. It was a hair over $30 for two of us pre-tip, so reasonable for a dinner out. read more

I'm having mixed feelings about doing this review. First of all, Pepperoni's is where I go if I want a quick drink with the gang after work. What knocks the rating down to 4 stars is that the service depends on where you sit. If you sit at the bar, you have all the attention you could ask for. Fast drinks and never waiting to be served. This was my most recent experience. Sometime last year was different, however. Same server, different vibe. I was in the dining area next to the bar this time where it was a little harder to find the bartender. Overall, they have decent Shortie specials, the food is good (house salad is massive), and from my last experience the service was better. Like I said, if I need somewhere to go grab a drink, this is the spot. Tip: expect smoking after a certain hour. read more

Stopped in to get something to eat after working 2nd shift on a Monday night. They were one of the few places open that wasn't fast food. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a pizza to go and had a couple of beers while I waited. The was some very lively karaoke going on as well as the Chiefs/Rams Monday night football game. Nice crowd for a Monday. The very busy bartender did a great job keeping up with everyone. My pizza was good, nice crust and plenty of toppings. I'd like to have had a little bit more pizza sauce on it but I'll know to order it heavy next time. I'll definitely give it a second try. read more

Having visited twice now I can give Pepperoni's two thumbs up! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness and it's open late! I have visited with my husband and a small child as well as a larger group and both times we've had nothing but great food and service. We've tried the pizza, salad, burger, fried mozzarella appetizer and fried ravioli appetizer. The salad was fresh, well chopped, the dressings were homemade and was great to share with the table. Both pizzas were expertly prepared and great even for leftovers! The black and blue burger was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of blue cheese. This is a great place to go and watch a game or play some trivia. They have tons of tvs and a great staff too. I really like their bread sticks and pizza as well as their salads. We'd also had their spicy chicken sandwich which was good and their sausage sub. All in all, the food is good and the atmosphere is fun so we like it. We tried to get into Pasta Vino, but there was a long wait and there was nowhere to stand and wait except outside (where it was 29 degrees). We had the kids with us, so we decided to venture out to see what else might be open down the road. This is how we ended up at Pepperoni's Tavern. The hostesses told me they could seat us right away and they were very sweet. Our waitress was really nice and attentive as well. The menu is sort of all over the place. It takes a while to read through it and figure out what you want to order. I am not really a fan of deep dish pizza (coming from Chicago, this is a sin, I know), and I was glad to see that you could order a thin crust if you wanted. I ordered a basic chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce, pineapples and Swiss cheese. It was decent, but nothing mind-blowing. The fries were my least favorite part of the meal, as they were the battered kind that taste overly processed and artificial. I am hopeful that this trend will pass and restaurants will one day go back to serving basic french fries, but it's not happening soon enough for my liking. The kids had pizza and it was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. My wife ordered the potato skins and they looked decent, but again...like every other time we've ever seen potato skins. The value was the best part. The price for our whole meal came to less than $40, which was a great surprise. Overall, PT works in a pinch and the service is really great. The food is sort of average and expected, not bad in any way (other than the fries). We weren't wowed by anything, but didn't have any complaints either. read more

And despite what a previous poster wrote, it's *not* deep-dish pizza. It's a standard thickness crust/pie. One of our fav toppings is their black forest ham. Really good. For starters, we like the onion rings (tasty dipping sauce), the cheese &/or garlic bread selections, and the fried meatballs. Their cheese sticks are good, but you can find those anywhere. I would avoid getting the potato skins (dry & not very tasty at all). When my mom goes with us, she always gets a salad & raves about it every time - can't recall right now which one it is. The wings were dried out and appeared to have sat for awhile before coming out to our table. We had ordered fried pickles and raviolis as a starter. Both came out hot/warmish but not crispy fried like you want fried pickles or raviolis. The waitress couldn't provide a beer or wine list and couldn't tell me what kind of wine they had???? I've been a regular there for nearly three years and just can't get into their pizza. Their wings, calzones, lasagna and burgers, fish sandwiches are their selling point for me. I also like the friendly servers and ambiance. So there is enough there to keep me a loyal customer a long time, along with their monthly specials to switch things up a bit. This is a great little sports bar that I consider something of a hidden gem in Alpharetta. Pizza and wings are always amazing! My boyfriend is from upstate New York and he says the food reminds him of back home. The decor is a nice change from the usual "all UGA all the time" you get in a lot of sports bars... Plenty of TVs if you're there to catch a game. I've gotten take-out a couple times and dined in a couple times, and service has always been relatively quick. No complaints from me! Came here with a family friend and their kid who goes to UMICH for a gameday. It felt like a sports bar on a college campus. Everyone was into the game. The atmosphere was family friendly and still intense enough for diehards. The food was great we ordered a pizza and the crust is unmatched with how soft yet crisp it was. A couple people have said the service was lacking and while it wasn't the greatest it certainly wasn't THAT bad. I give the servers some leeway because the place was packed. They were constantly moving and obviously trying. If I went on a slower day I'm positive that the service would be top knotch. I will return to see some more gameswith my family friend and hopefully will get to see their kidon one of the many bigscreens. read more
