I met with Zoey at the hostess stand. She helped me with a predicament before I even wanted to be apart of the establishment. She then helped me with some support and then I was then told about the line dancing on Wednesdays. (Guess what only $5 entry!) I was then approached be Megan who was lovely and even though I chose not to sit at a table I was still served! Staff was above and beyond. As for the line dancing, the instructions were given detailed per level of experience. Everyone learned every well and they were all busting a move! Much appreciated to have somewhere new I can go to dance! Must go! Didn't have the food so can't say for that. But the drink I had was great! read more

My friends and I went here for the Friday night salsa/bachata dance class and everyone had such a good time. There was a wide age range of people, so I don't think anyone felt out of place. They also group by experience level, which I thought was very helpful. Once the class is over they keep playing music so you can practice your moves! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. We flew into Atl, made it to our Airbnb and picked a "sports bar" so we could watch Thursday night football. Man we picked the spot. They had a fantastic food and drink menu. We ordered a sex on the beach and strawberry margarita. Both made incredibly well! For starters we had Buffalo chicken dip and loaded fries. They hand-make their pita bread and fries in house! So good! The 3 of us shared the breakfast burger and spicy western burger. Wow just wow. The presentation was great and the taste even better. Clean plate club 100%. Another thing that asked us was the marshmallow cream that came with our sweet potato tots. We didn't expect it at all, but ended up being one of our favorite things at the table. When we asked for ranch, we were also informed it was house made! We were there with a large party and they let us adjust seating as we liked which was nice. That was the only good thing. Our server was nice (but should wear appropriate shorts) overall not a good experience. Half our party received their food very fast the other half veryyyy slow. 2 families cancelled their order because it never came out when the rest of the party was done eating. First- we only went for drinks and what we thought was entertainment but that didn't work out. We arrived at 8:00 pm to hopefully do some like dancing. The room was completely packed the floor was at capacity and there were no tables. When we walked in- there was no one at the hostess stand, no one to tell us if there was a list and we had no idea where to go. We walked into the middle area and there were open tables and a bar. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes and never saw a bartender. After that we walked into a room full of people playing poker. There was another bar with no bartender. I finally flagged down a worker and asked where could we sit and how do we get a drink. She said- sit anywhere and someone will wait on you. We waited another 15-20 and a lady came to take our order. That also took another 20 minutes to receive so we drank that and left. Service was a mess, no one appeared to be in charge and they seemed overwhelmed. The website didn't explain if you could reserve a space to line dance or a table in the room so we were not prepared. Might try it again now that we know what to expect. read more

$-$$ Two of my very best friends, and I headed down to Brimstone Restaurant & Tavern in Alpharetta to enjoy a quick meal before heading to the Pentatonix concert at the amphitheater. The general manager, Windy, was an amazing person to meet and get to know. She was also our server and was very attentive and extremely nice! The food is prepared fresh in the kitchen every day... this means every bread, Chip, sandwich, sauce, dressing, and every prep meal item is fresh and prepared daily by the chef in the kitchen. The food came out piping hot an absolutely 'off the charts' delicious. IThey will be expanding at this location because they just purchased three more pieces of real estate, which are right next to them in the strip mall. This means, that there will be line dancing in one section, a beautiful bar and restaurant in the middle section, and a pool hall area with dart boards in the new section. They also have live band music every Friday night! I am truly looking forward to visiting this place on a regular basis! Thank you Windy for making this first visit so memorable!! read more

We have a regular group who come to this venue each week for Trivia. The food is decent--general bar and grill type fare--nothing amazing, but we go mostly for the fun of the trivia. The prizes for winning the contests each week is a gift card to use on a subsequent visit. I've noticed lately that the billing at this restaurant is unusually rigid and even if the server makes a mistake, they claim that it can't be corrected. Of note, there have been at least two times when a military discount wasn't applied and if the server has "already entered it", they won't honor the discount. Or if something was ordered and applied to the wrong ticket at the table, they say that they can't change it. Today we had a particularly annoying occurrence which was that the gift cards which we have worked so patiently to accumulate and finally came to use could not be used because "the wifi is down". The handheld billing devices evidently do read the credit cards just fine, but can't be used to read the internal gift cards for the establishment. We had ordered indulgently expecting to use the gift cards, and find now that the restaurant can arbitrarily refuse to honor them. There was no offer or attempt to offer a discount on the ticket to simulate the gift card either. This is the only restaurant I've ever encountered where the servers apparently can't correct a mistake. So my advice to you is that if you are eligible for a military discount or planning to use a gift card, you'll need to remind the server before they come to close out your ticket, and you might need to do it more than once. read more

Walked in at 12:30 and there were only three customers plus maybe one or two sitting at the bar. (I couldn't see the bar after I sat down). We didn't get 'Wonderful Wendy' that the other reviewers raved about. Attention and service were both pretty quick. I ordered the fish & chips and a beer. Beer was good and cold and the fish was hot ... a little too hot maybe. I couldn't decide it the grease had been too hot or too cold as the ample coating was dark brown and a touch greasy. My wife ordered the fish and chips.. my steak if I can rate it from one to 10 I give it a 10 it was juicy cooked to the best that you can ever think of. Great place for our Grayback Submarine Veteran's luncheon. We had about 20 people in our party and there was a separate room set up for us. The manager, Windy meet us and showed us around. This will be our meeting place it would seem for our quarterly meetings. Service was outstanding and efficient. Drinks were great with draft beer in a frosted mug what else can you ask for. I had Fish and Chips and so did about 4 other people we all agreed the best fish and chips we have all had in a long while. The cod was prepared just right and not overdone. One fellow had the Philly Cheese steak and it was as long as the platter more than enough for one meal. Plenty of fries on all the meals. The food was great when a bunch of Submarine Sailors are eating and there is silence during the meal. The restaurant is owned by an Army vet and the cook is also an Army vet. Windy was so friendly and helpful. All vets need to help support this place. They also have a Trivia night I missed what night it is. The best thing I also saw was that it was a GreenBay Packer Bar so I guess I will have to journey down to watch a game. I want to give 5 stars just to our waitress, Vanessa! This is how you do customer service and make people feel welcome! She was so great to us. She joked, she answered our questions. She made great recommendations. She was accommodating of our picky eater requests. There was so much pride in very thing she said, we thought she was the owner! Okay, enough about our new BFF! The food was phenomenal! We showed up for a very late dinner after driving all day. We were so hungry I forgot to take any pictures... oops. The meatballs appetizer was so yummy! The marinara sauce was creamy and very flavorful. It also came with garlic bread. AND THE BREAD IS MADE IN HOUSE! (Insert Oprah "I love bread!) I had the chicken pasta. The pasta is a cold pasta salad with a grilled chicken breast on top. Aside from how tasty it was, the portion was also massive! I have enough leftovers for two more meals! The French fries are also made fresh in house and they were seasoned to perfection! My mom was blown away by how great the broccoli and Brussel sprouts were. It was our first time here, even given that I grew up and still live in the general area of where this place is...it recently changed hands, but I wouldn't venture to say it's too different from its former self. We were the only one's there, that day, besides a older gent at the bar. The server was really sweet and attentive...The place ultimately filled once the sun went down, but most of the customers there were attending some sort of weekly/nightly card game in the other room. They have a full bar, but draft beer selection is limited to one of each type. All domestic, but that works for most people. We ordered: Fried Pickles Fried Mushrooms Banh Mi Chicken Sandwich(Fried) Fried Pickles/Mushrooms: Came out screaming hot and super well prepared. They use their own batter, make their own ranch dressing...bing bam boom perfect apps! Banh Mi: MMmm....uhhmm...it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It most certainly isn't authentically prepared...but it was a nod in the American fusion kinda way. The pickled veg was made in-house, the brioche like hoagie although not traditional-was fresh. The meat was cooked well...BUT the fake charbroil flavor(probably liquid smoke) they try to pull off was WAY too over powering. Like it killed it, but not in a good way...like in a sad...damn it man! kinda way. Kudos for the bun, in-house pickled veg and spicy sauce and properly cooked steak. Put down the fake char and hit it with some hoisin, since we are throwing caution to the wind on traditions. Hoisin would have given the crispy char bits flavor, little sweetness and it's a pretty shelf stable ingredient. Chicken Sandwich: HUGE piece of chicken, battered perfectly and fried perfectly. Brioche bun, set up on the side....had mayo/mustard upon request. The chicken is marinated ahead of time so it's seasoned well. Solid job, no complaints. For the life of me I cannot understand how this restaurant has 4 stars! It's horrible. Sunday, March 3rd around 8PM, my friend and I arrive at Fire and Brimstone ready for some good ole' wings and drinks. I was visiting but my friend who lives in Alpharetta wanted Taco Mac because she said they have the best wings. I looked Tao Mac up on Yelp, saw the 2 star rating and said Nope ... We're trying Fire Brimstone Tavern because they have 4 solid stars. As mentioned we got there around 8 pm. There was only 1 server who also worked as the bartender that night, the back server and the busser. There was 1 couple sitting at the end of the and a group of about 5 or 6 sitting at the front end of the bar. The server/bartender came right over to get our drink orders. We ordered a Bourbon on the rocks, a mule and the buffalo chicken dip to munch on now. Around 8:15 she came back over empty handed, apologized for taking so long and said, "Sorry this is my first day and I'm here alone. I asked if she was the bartender AND sever tonight. She said Yes! We ordered 3 different orders of wings and requested for them to be fried hard. She wrote down our order, said she'd check on the appetizer and come back with drinks. 15 minutes later (8:30) she came back to our table with the buffalo dip and said I'll be right back. We reminded her of the drinks we order 30 mins ago. She apologized sincerely and went off to make them. Great! We asked if she put the wings in, she said yes .... they should be right out. One of the ladies that was a part of that group of 5 or 6 seated at the front of the bar walked behind the bar to assist the server/bartender. We couldn't believe it! We thought she was working alone! The lady came to our table and said, "You ladies are waiting for wings right?" We told her we are, we've been waiting for an hour She said Oh I have them in the back to keep them warm for you. Really?! We ordered them over 30 minutes ago and originally didn't ask for them to go so why would they be "sitting back there keeping warm". After all that, we received the wings, opened the box to check them out and they were the largest and slimiest wings we've ever seen. We stopped her immediately and told her we asked for them to be fried hard because neither one of us like slimy wings. She then told us well we bake our wings THEN fry them. We said ... no thank you. We would like to have our money back and here's the wings. The menu says FRIED wings, not baked THEN fried. She said well .. we can throw them in the fryer or oven again for you. NO! At this point we were so upset with the service and the look of the wings, we just wanted out! We left and grabbed Papa Johns for dinner. We were in Alpharetta for an errand so decided to find something nearby for lunch. Found Brimstone on Yelp and decided to try it out. Glad we did. If I lived closer, I'd totally make this our hangout bar. We were greeted happily by a couple of their staff. Caylee was the bartender/server and she was as sweet as could be. She let us know it was National Margarita Day and enticed us with flights of margaritas! They were delicious with the perfect amount of tequila. One of the drinks in the flight was a black cherry margarita, which I'd never had before...It was delicious!! We had the Bang Bang shrimp for an appetizer...it was total comfort food...I could have had two plates of that for my meal! My MiL got fish and chips and I got a patty melt on Texas toast, which was a cool twist (and perfect for me since I'm not fond of rye bread...But it is an option). Both were very good! Coming here was like being on an episode of Bar Rescue. It took 15+ minutes for someone to acknowledge us. The bar tender was very short and unnecessarily rude after we asked for a drink menu. After I asked for a high noon and he quickly said, "we don't have any." I had a clear view of a mini fridge with multiple high noons in it! While we were waiting for drinks, the bar tender and owner were taking shots with everyone at the bar. To top it off, there was a fly in the beer. Took my mother here without really reading any reviews, just saw that there were a lot of stars and that they had burgers (what she had vaguely requested for dinner). Was surprised to see that it's mostly a bar, with the fortunate coincidence of having delicious food as well. Happy to get there when it was mostly empty. It's actually bigger on the inside than you might expect. They have karaoke and trivia nights, and many other types of entertainment too, I'm sure, but that wasn't the order of the day. We wanted food and to get on the road. The service staff was really friendly. We ordered a burger, an adult grilled cheese, and both had the sweet potato tots on the side. The burger was flavorful and juicy, and grilled cheese with bacon was great -- although the jalapeno bread was just okay, and the tots were out of this world amazeballs.
