What an awesome spot hidden in Miami. They really did an amazing job of carving out a little piece of Miami and making it their own. A super cozy restaurant with very kind people. Not to mention the food.. best cheesesteak I have had in FL.. the bread really blew me away. I would come back for this cheesesteak 10/10 times and never get tired of it. Can't wait to eat it again. Thanks!
I was so excited to try the cheesesteak here and was beyond disappointed. Only two cheese options, neither of which are good cheese. The waitress took forever to come over and it wasn't even busy. The bread was untoasted and stale. The meat and onions were good, but I was totally let down. Tiny hole in the wall, cute bathroom. Can't say I'll be back.
This may be the best pizza spot in fl. I'm convinced it is. This is a must try location. Cheesesteak is also out of this world. I thought cooper sharp was better than the whiz. They have two locations one inside Miami Brightline that only does cheesteaks and it's also very good
This place definitely lived up to they hype! A cheesesteak is one of my guilty pleasures. I haven't had a good one in Miami. I heard the owner is from Philly, so i knew i had to try this place. I heard the wait was long so i had my sub delivered, and it came promptly and tasted so good. Adding the cooper sharp cheese is the move! I got it classic how it came, with the onions, cheese and the delicious meat and fresh bread. It was heaven. I added some ketchup on top. The melted cheese was unbelievable. The next time i go i want to try it with the cheese wiz, and maybe add some banana peppers.
I came back after my first visit when DAVID P came and made the place crowded for a few days right after and the experience was totally different. The food was amazing and so was the service. The girl who was our waitress, which, by the way she was the only one and I think you should get two of them because it is very crowded although it's small place , I was watching her kind of go crazy with so many people demanding so many things I will definitely be coming back
Yes, there's a lot of hype about the cheesesteak here, but the sandwich lived up to the hype! The restaurant is small so there could definitely be a wait so come open minded or open to takeout cause that's an option too. It has a retro diner vibe which is so cute. And the bathrooms have a disco ball which was a nice touch. There's 2 options of cheese, so you can get cooper sharp or cheese whiz. So naturally, the hubs and I got both options so we can compare. And both options are amazing. I will say I think the cheese whiz is slightly saltier than the cooper sharp, and I also found the cooper sharp to be creamier. I did get the hot peppers on the side which were delish. (they are an additional cost). We also got a side of the Old Bay fries and they were sooo good!! The food was a little slow to come out, but everything is made to order and the restaurant was fully packed so that's understandable. You can't rush goodness. Highly recommend for cheesesteaks in Miami!
Best cheesesteak I've eaten in Florida. The closest you'll ever have from NY and Philly. We ordered 2 cheesesteaks. One with cooper sharp cheese and the other with cheese wiz. Honestly I can't tell you which one is better. They are both unique and amazing. That's why we got both. We also tried their Old Bay fries which is seasoned with some crab seasoning and they are delicious. Also includes a side of cooper sharp cheese dip. Service was fast and the ambience is pretty chill. For a moment there I forgot we were in Florida. We couldn't try the pizzas nor salads but we are coming back for that. The food today was five stars but we gave it 4 starts just because the parking was alittle difficult and sometime you have to wait as the location is small. But for now it's 5 stars in regard to the food and service. A must if you're in a the area near the design district.
Service was attentive and great. Ordered the mussels, got the meatballs but honestly was very very happy with that. They were filling the polenta was creamy but I don't have room for a sandwich like planned. I was a tad bummed that the menu online does not match actual menu. But no big deal. It was a great stop after a long day, and I might be back for the cutlet sandwich
After hearing all the hype about Peppi's being home to the best cheesesteak you'll ever have, I had to find out for myself. When I arrived, there was already a pretty long line out front, but it seemed to be moving, so I decided to wait it out. It ended up being about 45 minutes before I made it to the front. The cheesesteak was good, no doubt about it. But was it worth a 45-minute wait? Honestly... I'm not so sure. I was expecting something a little more over the top, especially given all the videos and buzz. For me, the biggest letdown was the lack of cheese, i say it needed more cheese wiz. That ooey gooey cheesiness I saw online just wasn't quite there on my sandwich. Horever I was pleasantly surprised by their pizza. It was actually excellent, and in my opinion, even better than the cheesesteak. Crisp crust, great flavor, and served hot and fresh. Definitely underrated compared to all the cheesesteak talk. I'd for sure come back again, but next time I'll try to avoid the weekend rush. Maybe hit it up on a weekday when the line isn't so intense. Overall, a solid spot, but maybe a little overhyped if you're only going for the cheesesteak

The bread had a nice crunch and the meat and cheese were tasty. My boys loved the drunken chicken sandwich. My son actually said he liked it more than the Philly. Our waitress was so sweet. Oh the music - awesome old school 80's music. I couldn't stop dancing in my seat. I decided to make a quick stop in the bathroom ... the coolest bathroom I've ever been in . Just topped off my amazing experience. Who ever designed that room .. bravo!! We definitely want to go back to try the pizza and other items on their menu. Thanks for a delicious and fun lunch.
Every time I come here somehow there's always been an issue because of all the publicity I assume. On this occasion we managed to get the last pizza available and shared a pasta. I think the pasta was the best part! It was a good portion for two people and still have leftovers. Our server was super nice and attentive because she felt bad they sold out. It's a small place with a bar.
Based on food alone, this places gets a great review. Service was also pretty great. The main star and what everyone comes for is the Philly - and it was pretty great. My personal preference is not a toasted bread - but still the sandwich over all, meat and cheese was pretty great. The pizza was also very solid The only issue I have is that the wait and the potential to not even get food if you come too late. But I get it, this is a small joint and not a chain. Overall, despite the wait and the potential overall to the waiting system, I would definitely check and make it a visit if you are in the area.

So I think this is the same restaurant that has a location in the Brightline station in Miami, where I discovered one of the yummiest cheesesteaks I've had in South Florida. Which is exactly why I made the hour-long trek from Fort Lauderdale just to get this cheesesteak again! Located in the Miami Design District, it almost looks like a little hole-in-the-wall spot from the outside. Cute, charming, nothing overly fancy. But that cheesesteak??? OMG, it did NOT disappoint!!!! First, the service was attentive from the moment I walked in. I ordered my cheesesteak to go, and while I waited they checked back with me and let me know they were working on my order. Once I got that cheesesteak into the car, though... I had to get into it IMMEDIATELY. It was fresh, it was hot, the bread was soft, and the steak tasted like it had literally just come off the grill. And that Cooper cheese??? Ohhh my gosh. Melted to perfection! My sandwich was absolutely overflowing with steak and onions. Nothing complicated--just steak, onions and cheese--and it was soooo yummy and delicious. I ate HALF the sandwich before I even pulled out of the parking lot. That's how good it was. Now somebody PLEASE find me a place like this in Fort Lauderdale because an hour is a long way to drive for a cheesesteak... but I can't even lie, this one was worth it! read more
I've been here a few times ... by far the best cheesesteak in miami. I only have one negative review and it's about the chicken wings, i honestly feel everything on the menu is top notch but the wings i can do without. I ordered the wings yesterday and it came to my table like warm to cold in certain parts of the wing kind of like it was just reheated from the night before. Just my honest opinion. It was over cooked and just had cold wing sauce on top of it which was also overpowering, the fries were honestly the best French fries I've had in miami. I mean crispy hot and soft on the inside and perfectly seasoned. Got to do better with the wings. read more
Went back because we thought this was our favorite pizza place in Miami. Last time it was very thin, crunchy, no flop. This time the dough was a lot more dense and less cooked, there were much less toppings, pepperonis not as crispy, and much more tomato sauce. Got the cheesesteak this time with cheese whiz and it was better, has a very strong flavor. Bread was nice and hot unlike last time. No peppers on the side this time and I liked them a lot last time. New found treasure for me. Stumbled upon this gem because of my On location location and this was the best looking pie in the area. Ordered the margarita and added fennel sausage well done. . Wow!! Absolutely amazing cheese steak in Miami! Make sure you get there early and grab yourself a seat at one of their tables or you can chance for the seats at the bar top. Service was very attentive and offered suggestions as it was our first time there. We ordered the cheesesteak with cooper sharp cheese and the chicken parm!! Both amazing delicious and cooked to perfection. We saw people around us ordering seconds of the sandwiches as well as the pizzas, which looked great! I am so happy I found this place! I've been looking for a great cheesesteak in Miami for years and was always disappointed. However, Peppi's did not disappoint! The server was VERY nice and set great expectations for the wait time of my order. The cheesesteak was delicious and they even made it without onions for me. I only wish they had fries. The wine was a bit pricey and limited, but I'm glad they have it as an option. The spot is small, but so cozy! I can only imagine seeing this place packed. A little hidden gem. Great service and the pizza was delicious! Very very good! And I will most likely be coming back. However we ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich and there was hardly any chicken at all. The Cesar dressing and lettuce was delicious, but the bread didn't do anything and lack of chicken was shocking. Maybe a few teeny tiny slivers of chicken. Heard this was the best place for a real Philly cheesesteak in Miami so I had to find out for myself. The downfall is that parking is insane in this area but there is a lot within walking distance. Even if you are picking up to go, you will need to pay and park. Once you're inside, it's a small restaurant where you can dine in or pick up from the bar. Servers were friendly and while the place doesn't look extravagant, their cheesesteaks are OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! The bread was incredibly soft. The meat was seasoned to perfection. There was cheese in every bite. They couldn't have done a better job if I flew to Philly. Absolutely recommend and worth every cent of the price. If you haven't been, GO NOW! read more

If you're a fan of Philly-style sandwiches, you gotta go to Peppi's in Miami! I was excited to try this spot because of the Philly connection...and wow, it did not disappoint! Had to get the cheesesteak with cooper sharp cheese on seeded bread...amazing! probably the best I've had in two decades down here. Also got the cutlet...Just as incredible. Both are solid 10/10s. I already can't wait to go back and try some of the other stuff...though it'll be tough not to reorder these two sandwiches again. Service was on point, with the food arriving at the perfect time. The owner, Ryan, came out to chat with us, which really added to the experience. Now, if only we could convince him to open a second location in Fort Lauderdale! Peppi's is as legit as it gets for Philly-style sandwiches in South Florida. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out! read more

Peppi's Pizza provided me the best pizza I've ever had in my life. They have mastered the art of the crust. You walk in and get seated promptly. There's not too much inside seating, but there's enough. They also have a small bar where you could sit as well. Service was good and food was even better. We tried the caesar salad at first and tbh, this is a skip for me. There was too much peppercorn in it. It looks good in my photo, but I wasn't a fan. The real star of the show is of course, the pizza. We ordered the Pepperoni and Hot Honey pizza. This pizza was literally picture perfect and tasted just as good as the photo. The ricotta blended with the hot honey was amazing. Again, I must re-iterate, that crust was something else man. This is officially the best pizza that I've ever had! I would 100% recommend for Miami pizza. Go to the bathroom for a surprise. Oh yeah, bathrooms are also immaculate??? That's the cleanest restroom ever in a restaurant. read more

The Philly cheesesteak with cooper sharp cheese is amazing! We waited about 45 minutes in line to get inside. Once inside it took about 30 minutes to get our food. We were hangry by the time the food made it to our table but it was really good and the cheesesteak was huge. It's loud inside because of how small it is. We ordered cannoli's to go and they look delicious. Excited to try them! If you're not up for waiting definitely do takeout. Several people were doing this while we waited in line and they got their food rather quickly. read more

Philly cheese was "ok". Tony Lukes in Philadelphia is my compared sandwich. It has Great taste. Meat was dry. If it had more cheese wizz that could have masked it. The bread was a little soft to my liking. Very busy for a Wednesday late lunch time. I sat at the bar. Service is quick and with a smile. I'll go back to try their pizza. Which goes for $25 and up. It better be great. Extra star for effort. FYI. They serve JUST pizza and sandwiches at lunch time. read more

I want to rate this place higher, because the pizza was actually very good, but do not come here on a Saturday night if you want the cheesesteak, any sandwich on the menu, chicken parmesan, rigatoni pasta, ricotta on your pizza, or anything from their dessert menu (including espresso). They also do not have Diet Coke. read more

We only had the pizza and a salad. The pizza was okay, nothing to brag about. The salad, Italian Chop, they forgot the provolone cheese and was drowning in dressing(pictured). It would have been really good if I didn't have to try and drain the dressing off of each bite. I usually ask for dressing on the side and forgot. I didn't catch that it was missing the cheese until half way through eating it, so I didn't bring it up. The one waitress was nice, but busy. The establishment was small, so it filled up quickly. Overall for the area, it was a decently priced meal. read more

Hubby was excited to try this spot. We sat at the bar. I ordered tripping animals Pilsner, and La rubia both beers were not poured correctly and were foamy and bitter. My hubby ordered the cheesesteak sub and I unfortunately order the cesar salad sub. We also ordered Old bay fries. My Husbands cheesesteak came out in about 30 minutes. We did not mind the wait. The waiter leaves and started passing everyone else drinks food etc. I was going to ask her for my sub but figured she forgot or did not put in my order. My husband finished his cheesesteak hoagie and I was still waiting for mine. She brings the fries which were hot it took 45 minutes after ordering them for her to bring that and my sandwich out. My sandwich was dry had no flavor barely any chicken or dressing and was cold. I was so disappointed. I told my husband to ask for Cesar dressing since it was super dry. The waitress brought it out she seemed bothered that we asked in the first place. I decided to just take the food home because by the time the food came out I had lost my appetite. We ask for a box to go and some extra cheese sauce for the fries and she literally rolled her eyes. We were charged 2.50 for extra Cesar dressing and 2.50 for more cheese sauce for the fries. My husband enjoyed his sub and fries and he wants to come back. If I were to come back I would not sit at the bar and I would order the italian or cheesesteak. Nice spot inside. Clean and nice vibe. I recommend the cheesesteak and old bay fries!!! Minus my food taking almost an hour to come out, the bitter foamy beer, the bartenders attitude and lack of attention it is a nice spot for good food and drinks. read more

This cozy little pizza joint is a hidden gem! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual quick bite. The place isn't very big, so there might be a wait during peak times, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak , and it was decadently cheesy with tender slices of beef but absolutely delicious. The pepperoni and hot honey pizza was a flavor explosion, crispy edges, yummy pepperoni, and just the right touch of sweetness from the hot honey. Also, I grabbed a small coffee to round it out, and it was rich and smooth .perfect kickstart to the day or a cozy afternoon. Overall, great food, cozy vibe, and well worth any wait. Highly recommend for any pizza lover looking for something unique and tasty! Last but not least our server Katie was very polite, patient, and helpful. Amazing server! read more
