Still love this place. Today we splurged and added the cinnamon sticks with vanilla icing to our order. First, oh buddy, are the cinnamon sticks and icing worth every penny. They are crave-able beyond measure if you have a sweet tooth. Perfectly chewy like their garlic bread but covered in buttery cinnamon sugar (I think). Second, this place is such a reasonable place to splurge on both calories and dollars. You get plenty of delicious food for your buck. We ate at Peppino's last night (Zelienople) for the first time and ordered a large plain pizza, a turkey club, breadsticks and a dozen wings. Let's start by saying the best part of the meal were the breadsticks. Very, very poor quality. The pizza, while not burnt, was very much over cooked to the point the cheese did not stretch at all and was "bubbled black". The taste wasn't terrible but probably would have been a ton better if it weren't over cooked. They do not deep-fry their wings, they oven bake them and hands down the most terrible, disgusting wings I ever came across. The skin was soft and basically snapped back at you when you took a bite. I took one bite of one wing and that was it. When the turkey club was brought to our table I informed the server the wings were the nastiest, most disgusting wings I ever came across - He said nothing but "sorry about that" and there was no "let me see about refunding your money" or "can we make another order for you?" - nothing. Not to mention the garlic parm sauce tasted burnt and like nothing but salt. When we left I again told the server the wings were disgusting and if they can't cook wings properly they should take them off the menu - Further explained that he didn't even offer to take them back and refund the money. I left the wings and the remaining pizza on the counter and told him to throw it all away - not even worth taking home the leftovers (although the turkey club was decent and I did take the other half of that home). That was my one and last time I will ever spend a dime at Peppino's. What a waste of $54. Very disappointing to say the least. See pictures below. read more

We have been anxiously waiting for Peppinos to open and were happy to see the open sign lit up yesterday. Our family shared a great traditional 1/2 sausage, 1/2 pepperoni pizza, a Joey's Sicilian and some boneless wings YUM! We live between Cranberry and Zelie, making the location perfect for pick up (no Cranberry traffic or lights). This will likely become our new go-to pizza place. read more

I've been driving the 45 minute drive to eat there several times over the last few months. The pizza is always fresh, we love the variety of fresh vegetables, and the atmosphere is great. Sean is the life blood of this place. I've been there once when he was out & totally different vibe. He brings such a great vibe to the place. Anyways back to the food. Ranch - great (crappy ranch will turn me away from any establishment) crust perfect... not too thin nor too thick & has a good traditional taste to it. The cheese has good pull but not too much you worry about your kids choking on it. The meats are good quality as they don't make the pizzas greasy. I hate greasy pizza! They have good lunch specials. We always order online & call them & tell them we will be dining in & our eta & it's always in the oven when we arrive so we have just enough time to pay, sit, pour our drinks & our stuff starts coming out. We were excited to try Peppino's since they are super close to where we live. This evening, my husband placed an online order that would be ready in 30 minutes. He arrived at 30 minutes and was told our pizza was coming out of the oven. After waiting 20 minutes, he asked about the order and was told that his pizza was 'lost' and perhaps given to somebody else (???). They made another pizza and gave it to us for free because of the wait which was nice. The pizza was actually quite good, we both loved it! We also got an order of wings which were TINY and I didn't care for the honey garlic sauce. Since the pizza was good, we will give Peppino's another shot in the future when they get the kinks worked out. read more

Ordered wings, they were not fried, therefore not crispy and Buffalo sauce was "gritty" with odd flavor. Meatball hoagie was so salty that it was inedible. We also got the Detroit style pizza that was actually good, but pieces smaller than Montecello's Sicilian style cuts. A shame as we are always looking for non chain excellent pizza in Cranberry. I can't even believe what excellent friendly customer service we just had here! This may be the third or fourth time we've ordered pizza and I've always done carry out. Tonight we had a bit of a family emergency where after we ordered my husband was going to take my son for a Medical emergency and I couldn't leave home myself to pick it up bc I'm also home with a Sick kid. I called asking to switch over to delivery and they told me that they don't have any delivery drivers now that most of them have gone back to college. I explained that I would probably need to cancel the order or find someone else who could pick up for us and they immediately offered to make an exception and have one of their employees drive the pizza to us. It was one of those extraordinary customer service moments that feel kind of like the old days. Not that we needed another reason to stay loyal to this delicious pizza spot, but this kind of service will make us return every time! The deep dish pizza is phenomenal. read more

First time to Peppino's tonight. Delishish! I lived in Detroit for a few years and grew to love the Detroit style pizza and have not been able to find anything comparable in PA. Well, now I have! The crust was thick with the perfect buttery chew. My favorite part is the perfect singe at the top edge of the crust. The sauce has a tinge of sweetness which is more noticeable on a plain bite, but would blend perfectly with any of the meat options. Tonight we had the sausage! Very good! We also ordered a plain garden salad. The salad might have been a standard iceberg garden description, but it was fresh. Very fresh! The cucumber were English cucumber sliced on the thick side, match stick carrots, red onion and tomatoes. All in pristine condition, oh did I mention it was February!!! Last but not least, there was a special of free breadsticks for the Super Bowl. Upon initial inspection they looked light in color making us question if they were fully baked...they were perfectly baked. Soft pillows that melted in our mouths. The portion size of the breadsticks alone was enough to feed a small family. Almost forgot, ordered online meal was ready ahead of the promised time and the staff were all very nice. Went in for a pick up order and was told I would be called when it was ready. Busy lunch hour, so I patiently waited for 15 minutes, watching people come and go, picking up without a wait. I got suspicious so I peeked at the rack and saw 3 boxes that matched my order. They were mine so I asked for them. "So sorry!!" I took the cold pizza home to my family womdering if we should remain loyal customers through this lack of interest and accountability. The crust is delicious! I love the crispiness on the outside of a deep dish pizza. We got two pizzas 1 traditional with bacon and spinach, and the Rustica deep dish. They were good, but the sauce was quite sweet. I know that some people like a sweet tomato sauce, but I found it off-putting. read more

This is the newest pizza place in the Zeliinople area. So last night we gave it a try. Ordered 18" pizza and breadsticks online. They said the order would be ready in 25 minutes. I showed up in exactly 25 minutes to pick up the order. Got home in 5 minutes and opened the pizza box to find the pizza with 3/4 of it more than well done. Burnt cheese and dried out. Very unappealing and tasted like day old pie. The breadsticks were tasty but we were not given the marinara that would have made them even better. Why does every pizza place around her have to be a franchise which this is out of Michigan. Great Pizza is not that hard to make neither are sandwiches and salads. Cranberry has a ton of franchise pizza and other restaurants the really isn't anything special here that you can't find at Dominoe, cocos, sorry cocos, Pizza Hut, and other franchise places. I'm sure as part of the franchise agreements all ingredients much be according to corporate mandate and ingredients from them as well. The Detroit Pizza is just ok and the regular rounds are just mehhh. Again nothing exciting here hope it makes it as at least someone local owes the actual,shop but it doesn't stand out from the many other pizza places.
