Juan is very knowledgeable and shares his suggestions which saves me a lot of time! While he was working on the subpanel, he asked if I have the Rough Inspection ordered for the work that he would finish the following day. I had not as I was not familiar with the process. When I called SJ Permit department, the earliest opening they have was 29 days later. That would set me back a lot. He then suggested to send an email to the supervisor of inspection department and explain my predicament. It worked, as the supervisors was able to squeeze me in three days later, which is tremendously better than 29 days! The work that Juan did, replacing the subpanel and wiring in the house, passed the inspection with flying colors! Extremely Unprofessional and Disappointing Service** I recently contacted Peralta Electric and spoke with the owner, he said his name is Juan but I don't know if it's true or not!!!!!, to help me get a cap for a double switch and one outlet. The combined cost for the part was $10.00, and it should have taken less than 10 minutes to install. I explained to Juan that I am an electrician and general contractor, but I live far from the property. Once Juan arrived at the property, he called my office and demanded an additional $100.00. My employee connected me with him on the phone. When I confronted him, stating that we didn't need a switch and that the cover could be easily found at Home Depot or Lowe's, he called me an idiot. I then asked for his electrician license or state contractor license, and he hung up on me. I am now trying to get in touch with someone at Yelp to verify if he is a licensed electrician. Overall, I am very disappointed with the service I received. There was absolutely no reason for the name-calling and agitation. We wound up delaying the project for 2 months, when we asked if they were still interested in the job the cost jumped 30%!! They claimed they had misquoted the job for 4 cans instead of 6 and blamed the increase on high material cost.
