I bit the bullet and bought a Tesla Powerwall 3 system. The solar installer initially planned on a Wi-Fi setup, but after I checked the manual and requested the "gold standard" Ethernet connection. Solar installer agreed to commission the system via Ethernet if I provided the outdoor-rated cable and exterior connection. I appreciate how prompt Francisco was in diagnosing my electrical issue, addressing the issue with the most affordable fixes first (e.g. changing the switch, changing the breaker etc) and then ultimately doing a very thorough job when we realized that I needed to change my subpanel because it corroded. They were easy to schedule with, took good care of my home, and the inspector said that they did great electrical work. This is my first time doing major electrical work, but when I learned that I needed to change my subpanel, I got a quote from another company. The other company not only quoted me more but was also hard to work with (i.e. customer calls kept on dropping, diagnosis was difficult to schedule, etc). Great overall experience! Had some kitchen overhead lights on a 3-way switch that suddenly stopped working. I exhausted all the potential causes I felt qualified to check (i.e. if the fuse was tripped or blown:)). I called Electrician On Duty and Raphael had me send him a few pictures, gave me a quick quote for troubleshooting and an average of potential repair cost and a estimated time frame when he could come (same day!). Our pool electrics was playing up. Running a shopvac on the spare outlet tripped the ground fault breaker. And more important, the same happened when we tried to run the pool cover motor. With company coming the next week, this was a crisis! The first contractor we tried came, talked a good game, and then persistently flaked out. I suspect that it was beyond their executive competence. We were then very lucky to find Raphael and Electricians on Duty. They methodically checked all the wiring, looking for ground leakage, especially on any of the neutral wires that ran to the pool lamps and motor. They very quickly isolate the problem, disconnected that circuit -- so we could open the pool again! -- and gave us a quote for low-voltage pool lamps.
